Brief about curriculum:

a) Introduction of the course :

This course is affiliated to NCVT and DGE&T, New Delhi. The pass out student is skilled for any job

related to turning job of manufacturing industry. After successfully passing this course the pass out students

can apply to any Govt. Departments and Private Organisations.as the certificate is recognized by all Govt.

Departments. These students can also be successful entrepreneurs as they have all the knowledge of Lathe

operation; hence they can independently carry out job work for various departments.

b) Main areas/chapters covered in theoretical deliberations:

Safety Measures, Identification of different tools machinery, Uses and description of different types of Steel

rule, hammer and chisel –materials types and used. Prick punch and scriber. Uses of different types of

Calipers, Bench Vice cut grade, shape etc , Description and Plate; V blocks; Scribing block ,straight edge

and its used, Use of Drill machine-different parts and Hacksaw, Hacksaw blades sizes ,Surface plate its

necessity and use. Different types of Tap, Definition of mach of machine, tool and lathe, Classification of

lathe in Function and construction of different parts of Lathe. Reducing speed-necessary and speed

Industrial Visit to Different Industries. Practical practice lathe step drilling, Boring and internal recessing,

Safety Measures, Identification of different instruments and various equipment in drawing office. Use of

different drawing sheet and marking .definition of different line, ellipse, involutes cycloid curves helix and

spiral. Planes and their normal and different projections, use of different types scales. Exercises on free

hand sketching of machine. Solution of problem to find out the true shape of surfaces when solids are cut by

different cutting planes. Different types of machine screws cap screws and their specification. Different

locating methods clamping devices. Draw different types of sectional views and dimensioning the drawing.

Draw interpenetration curves and develop simple objects. Draw temporary fasteners-screw threads, bolts,

nuts, washers, locking Devices machine screws, cap screws, studs, set screws, foundation bolts etc. Draw

types of rivets and riveted joints. Description and application of simple measuring tools, machinist etc. and

method using them. All demo allied trade theory.

joints with B.I.S convention. To prepare working drawing of a riveted structure as per conventional system.

Drafting practice with the help of the drafting machine. Allied Trade; Forger and heat Theater, Use of

different types of forget hand tool, hand forging of different types of jobs. Allied Trade Fitter, Turning,

Machinist, Sheet Metal, Welding, Electrician, etc. Use of different types tools and machines. Pulleys-solid,

stepped and built up pulleys. Application of shade lines on machine drawing. Pipe fitting flanges, union,

valves, etc. valve; such as lever safety valve, Dead wt. safety valve. Assemble drawing of a tail stock.

Drawing of a drilling jig. Detailed drawing of a milling fixture. Different types of gauges, such as plug,

snap, thread, etc. Blow off crock and simple carburetor.

related to Survey Work and Survey Drawing of Construction site. After successfully passing this course the

pass out students can apply to any Govt. Departments and Private Organizations as the certificate is

recognized by all Govt. Departments. These students can also independently carry out job work for various

departments as they have all the knowledge of operating Auto Level, Dumpy Level, Theodolite, Total

Station, AutoCAD etc.

Importance of safety, Uses of different instruments & equipments used by surveyor, their types and uses.

Lettering using stencils. Different types of scales and there principle. Geometrical constructions lines, angles,

Technical terms used in compass survey, difference between angles and bearing, magnetic &true meridians.

Plane table survey equipments instruction and various method of plane table survey. Leveling parts, types-

a) Introduction of the course :

This course is based on state of the art technology which is need of the industry. These projects are

designed to bridge the gap between the Institutions and Industry so that the students get an exposure on how

the industries are working and what is the demand of the industries. The fresh Graduate Engineers are

immensely helped by this project work when they appear for interview as freshers during campus

interviews.

The students opting for these courses have theoretical as taught in their institution, here we give emphasis

porgrammes written by them using the computers. Then the job work is executed using the Milling and

Turning machines for the written porgrammes.
