New Safety Policy for Non-Construction Subcontractors, Vendors and Guests

• Every worker must have a current Work Authorization

resulting from a job hazards analysis process or be directly supervised.

• This requirement applies to Non-Construction Subcontractors, Vendors, and Guests performing hands-on work at LBNL facilities.

• The policy is documented in Chapter 31 "Non-Construction Safety Assurance for Subcontractors, Vendors, and Guests at LBNL Facilities“ and will become Lab policy January 1, 2009.
