AVHAN is a State Level Camp. Nearly 1200 volunteers attended this camp from all over
Maharashtra. From our college Mr. Chinmay Karalkar attended this camp.
2) WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY:

On the WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY our NSS volunteers organised beach clean-up and a
street play was performed to spread awareness about our environment. They all did Beach
clean-up at dadar with the organiser of Beach Please Malhar Kamble.

The volunteers celebrated World Environment Day by participating in a Beach Clean-
up Activity conducted by Beach Please Organisation. This activity was conducted at
Chaitya Bhumi, Dadar.
• STREET PLAY:

In order to spread the message of saving the environment, the volunteers performed a
street play at 5 Gardens, Matunga. Later a short feedback session was conducted with
the spectators.
3)BLOOD DONATION VOLUNTEERING

Blood Donation was organised in association with Nair Hospital. Volunteers
helped the staff of Nair Hospital for the Blood Donation on the railway station.

8)INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

On 21st June we celebrated International Yoga Day in our college with NCC Cadets. Students
and staff from Junior as well as Degree College participated in it. Our principal madam was

In association with Public Concern Goverance Trust Sydenham college organised interaction
on careers in competitive exams. Speaker for the event was Shri. Avinash Dharmadhikar. Sir
spoke UPSC and MPSC competitive exams. It was to inform the students about various
competitive exams which will help the volunteers in future.

Paper bags were made by the volunteer using waste newspaper and were distributed in

Anti-plastic street play was performed at Matunga station to create Awareness about the
adverse effect of plastic on environment.

Volunteers visited the Bai Sakarbai Dinshaw Petit Hospital for animals and they fed the sick
animals and spend time with them.
18) ANTI-RAGGING SQUAD:

Anti-Ragging Squad was formed to prevent the students from getting ragged and they also

Sion fort clean-up activity was carried out by Sangam Pratisthan in which our volunteers
participated regularly on Sunday. The volunteers cleaned the surrounding of Sion Fort for
about 25 weeks.

A rally was organized by Mumbai University & SWOT University along with many peace
loving citizens. This peace rally was organized to commemorate & join hands all over the

A workshop was organized by the N.S.S unit on Vijayi Bhav with the help of Shiksha
Protsahan NGO. In this workshop we all learned about Personality development, confidence
building and self enhancement, goal setting and effective decision making, communication and
coordination skills, how to plan and study and effective time management.

Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Home (B.J.Home) is an orphanage which works for underprivileged kids.
Our volunteers taught them to make paper bags & rakhis. We played with them and we had
cake cutting.

Rally started from our college upto Matunga railway station where we had Slogans on plastic
ban. Volunteers distributed cloth bags which highlighted the importance of plastic ban.

The volunteers celebrated NSS day by preparing posters and decorating NSS room. There was
small celebration and we had NSS prayer. Then our principal gave a small speech which

LTC is a university level camp, arranged by K.C College, Churchgate. In this camp Ms.
Vaishnavi Ahire represented our college. In this camp total 49 volunteers from 30 different
colleges. Volunteers were given special training about NSS and different activities. It was a 5
days camp which consisted of different activities.

On the day of Gandhi Jayanti there was a Maha clean-up Drive organised by Sangam
Pratishan were our volunteers managed the event with sangam volunteers since there
were various schools came for the clean- up drive. Our volunteers too cleaned the sion
fort with schools childrens.

On the Occasion of Gandhi Jayanti our volunteers helped in the clean up drive
organised by Malhar Kamable.

This activity was conducted at Nariman Point. Shri Narendra Modi marked the birth
anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas to commemorate his legacy.
On the very same day, the ‘Run for Unity’ Marathon was flagged off, with the aim of having
every Indian run together in a tribute to Sardar Patel.

The government of Maharashtra and CASI Global has organized 200 walkathons. The
Walkathon was started from Mantralaya. Ministers Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil flagged the

Our college volunteers did a pulse polio drive in Dadar, Matunga and Sion. Our volunteers

The Red Ribbon Club main purpose of is the education about prevention of the Human
Immunodeficiency Virus or HIV, Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome Related Complex,
ARC and AIDS. In the RRC week various activities were conducted by our volunteers such as
competitions were conducted, AIDS awareness rally was organised, blood donation camp was
held, street play was performed and video byte was taken to spread awareness about HIVS.

session on MARATHI BHASHA. In this session they spoke about the importance of Marathi
language. After this, various activities were organised by them like shayari, povada, Marathi
loksangit & Marathi Dindi(a dance performance).
