Rescue to have that light-bulb moment?

That moment where you have identified that you have reached your personal level

of success?

What is your Freedom Evaluation Foresight?

We each have our own definition of success. But I lost mine for a while!

Several years ago , I had lost my job , was out of work and beginning to panic… What was I

going to do? How was I going to earn money? I was heart-brokenly devastated. Fear

tried to attack me on every side. I was confused and felt completely lost . After all I had

spent my entire career to get to the place… to what I thought was my dream job and

POOF!!! It was all gone.

I scrambled around in my mind for weeks trying to figure out what I was going to do

with the rest of my life…. then my dear friend encouraged me one day and said…” Come

float in my pool with me.”

Now sitting around floating in her pool was the last thing that I felt I had time for… I

mean really , I HAD to figure out what I was going to do with the rest of my life , right?

Well , with some encouragement from her , I chose to take the afternoon and take her up

on the offer . So off I went to float . We were having a glorious time , my friend and I ,

catching up on each other ’s life events and then we began to talk about the future. Like

any life changing moment , this moment , will be forever ingrained in my mind as if it was

yesterday.

I was sort of whining and complaining… no not sort of… I was complaining and

could even hear the fear in my own voice and said… “I just want to be a success; I

do not want to go down another wrong road or do the wrong thing…I just want to

be a success.” That is when I got my answer. My friend turned to me, with the

warmth of the sun beating down on us both as we cruised around her pool in our

luxurious floating beds and she said to me these very simple, yet profound words…


“ SANDRA , WHAT DOES SUCCE S S LOOK L I K E FOR YOU ? ”

I immediately sat up in my float , took off my sunglasses and

glared at her . . . I mean I just glared.

She looked back at me thinking she had said something

wrong , BUT she had said something RIGHT … something

that I needed to hear!

Unknowingly , yet very profoundly , she had given me the

answer I needed to launch myself into my future.

I should have known…. I should have realized. With all the

years of knowledge , and all my teaching and all my

previous coaching , It should have been so simple… but for

some reason I had forgotten.

I had not answered the one very simple question for myself .

WHAT DOES SUCCE S S LOOK L I K E FOR ME ?


I was so excited… I knew what to do… I knew my next step.

I mean I almost wanted to jump out of the pool there and then and race home to my

computer and drill out the specific answers…. But I didn ’t . After all , how many times do we

get to have an afternoon to simply float in the sun , right .

Instead we continued our time together and I began to answer some of the

identifying questions of “What Success Means to Me.”

I t w a s a t o t a l l i g h t b u l b m o m e n t f o r m e .

While men sort their thoughts out in a cave , we

women , we think out-loud… that is why we call our

BFF to sort out our thoughts . They don ’t try to fix

us… they listen , ask questions and allow us to work

through out thoughts , right? But I digress…

That day , that I thought would be an undue

distraction was the pinnacle , the turning point of my

future.

I did come home as the sun began to set and immediately huddled in my favourite

summer place… my back-yard Gazebo and began to write out all my thoughts.

Hours later, I had completed my Freedom Success Evaluation. I had complete

foresight of what my future was going to look like...

when I attain my personal success , this is what my life will look like.…

To be able to afford to live in a large home/Retreat Centre to assist individuals in the life

transformation process to obtain their own success.

To be a funder in the Kingdom of God, an aid and financial support to my Pastor and our

church significantly.

To travel anywhere in the world, comfortably and facilitate training and conferences globally.

Take my whole family on a dream vacation every year and spend more quality time with the

people I love.

What should your Freedom Foresight look like for your life? Before you answer that,

let’s look at exactly what a Freedom Evaluation Foresight represents. Let’s break

this apart to attain the full capacity of understanding.

FREEDOM

When I began to really identify this , I discovered that the word FREEDOM , Is actually a

noun… surprisingly Freedom is in the classification of a person , place or thing. interesting!


WHAT DOES YOUR FU TURE F REEDOM LOOK L I K E FOR YOU ?

Freedom is the state of being free or

To be at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint,

Exemption from external control, interference, regulation, etc.,

The power to determine action without restraint,

Freedom means personal liberty, as opposed to bondage or slavery,

It means exemption from the presence of anything specified, for example,

freedom from fear.

It is the absence of or release from ties, obligations, etc.

Freedom is the ease or facility of movement or action: to enjoy the freedom

of living in the country.

Frankness of manner or speech.

It could also mean a general exemption or immunity: freedom from taxation.

The right to frequent, enjoy, or use at will.

Freedom, by definition from Webster’s online Dictionary means ….

Now thinking about all these definitions of Freedom… it seems to me that

when we have Freedom, we have rights, privileges and power. Freedom is

the power to exercise choice and make decisions without constraint from

within or without; Freedom, gives us self motivation and self-

determination. Isn’t that what success is? Freedom is having the liberty to

do what we want to a greater measure.

Valuation is the act of estimating or setting the value of something; an

appraisal, estimate or worth.

It's the awareness or acknowledgment of the quality, nature, excellence,

or the like of something.

Valuation, from the root Value is defined as:

Relative worth, merit, or importance, monetary or material worth.

The amount of other things for which it can be exchanged.

The equivalent worth or return in money, material, services, etc.

Value can also mean a force or significance, for example, the value of a word.

Or it can be the liking or affection of something, the favorable regard.

If we do not take the time to truly analyze and assess this, we will never

truly know what we are striving for in life. We need to take the time to

evaluate and assess what we want. We need to know what represents

success in our lives. That is where our valuation weighs in on the big

picture. So just what is Valuation?

In summary, to do a valuation is to assess and place a level of value on any

object or quality desirable as a means or as an end. In itself or to calculate

or reckon the monetary value of something, or to give a specified material

or financial value to; assess; appraise assets or to consider with respect to

worth, excellence, usefulness, or importance or a situation, a person or

something material.

Now we have identified our Freedom, looked at the fact that we need to

assess what we value and now, what about our future. That is where the

Foresight is so important.

The care or provision for the future; provident care; prudence.

The act or power of foreseeing; prevision (a prophetic or anticipatory vision or

perception).

It is prescience (knowledge of things before they exist or happen).

An act of looking forward.

Knowledge or insight gained by or as by looking forward; a view of the future.

It is surveying, (a sight or reading taken on a forward point), (in leveling) a rod

reading on a point the elevation of which is to be determined.

Wha t i s F o r e s i g h t ?

Let’s identify foresight. It is not a term that is used a lot these days,

however it is so very important to our future.

From these collective definition’s foresight is us being able to clearly see

into our future and having knowledge of things before they happen or

exist.

This reminds me of what the Bible says about Abraham, to whom God had

promised that he would be the father of many nations, even before he even

had birthed a son. In Romans 4:18-22 we can read how Abraham focused

forward, not even looking to his own body, but trusted God and looked to

His future.

Abraham, when hope was dead within him, went on hoping in faith, believing

that he would become “the father of many nations”. He relied on the word of

God which definitely referred to ‘your descendants’ .

With undaunted faith he looked at the facts—his own impotence (he was

practically a hundred years old at the time) and his wife Sarah’s apparent

barrenness. Yet he refused to allow any distrust of a definite pronouncement of

God to make him waver. He drew strength from his faith, and while giving the

glory to God, remained absolutely convinced that God was able to implement

his own promise. This was the “faith” which ‘was accounted to him for

righteousness’ .

We too, if we take the time to assess what our future hold for us and write

down and discern our Freedom Evaluation Foresight, we can also look to

our own future with great hope.

This Freedom Evaluation Foresight takes some very strategic and

methodical, purposed time and effort. In the following pages you will find

some very poignant questions to ask yourself to obtain the assessment you

need for your successful future.
