Access Control Systems – Mandatory Standards

NSI Code of Practice NCP 109 for the design, installation and maintenance of access control systems

NACOSS Gold Code of Practice NACP 30** or Systems Silver Code of Practice ICP 30**

Note: As an alternative of using NCP 109 or NACP 30** (NACOSS Gold scheme) or ICP 30** (Systems Silver scheme), access control systems may be installed to comply with the following European Standards -

BS EN 50133-1:1997 Alarm systems - Access control systems for use in security applications - Part 1: System requirements

BS EN 50133-7:1999 Alarms systems - Access control systems for use in security applications - Part 7: Application guidelines

**Note: NACP 30 and ICP 30 will be withdrawn from use on 31 August 2013.
