Exchange of data on research centres and laboratories
In accordance with the agreement at the Third Review Conference that States Pa11ies provide data on 11research centres and laboratories that meet very high national or international safety standards established for handling, for permitted purposes, biological materials that pose a high individual and community rt:tk or specialize in permitted biological activities direct~y related to the Convention, " the Republic of Moldova is providing data 0:1 all jacilities designa.ted biosajety level 3 (BSL-3) that were operational during 2010. Data on a BSL-3 facility under the Ministry of Agriculture, currently under construction, ·will be included in future CBM submissions of the Republic of Moldova beginning with the submission covering the year the facility becomes operational.
The Republic of Moldova does not have ma.ximum containment laboratories (BSL-4). Nothing new to declare than in Confidence Building Measure Return covering 2011 submitted by the Republic of Moldova in year 2012.

The Law .No. 215 of 04 November 2011 on tbe State Border of the Republic of Moldova, into force from 01 July 2012 reflected into Article 9 on ''Border checks":
, "(2) In order to combat illegal migration, organized crime, smuggling, internatimud terrorism and other crimes, border police officers have the right to cany out inspection of the goods and assets. Exceptions are border check points where these activities are carried out by the cus!mns authorities, within the limits, set by law". l8
The Law No.283 of 28 December 20U on Border Police, info force since 01 July 2012 mentioned into Article 7 al. (1) point. q) •'to counteract the illegal crossing of the state border by prohibited goods or goods of limited access, according to the legislation into force".
The Government Dedsfon No.434 of 19 June 2012 on Border Police Department Regulation reflected into point 9)~ subsection (5) the responsibilities pf the Border Police as " ... ensure the state security and public order by preventing, counteracting, finding and investigating, 1-vithin the extent of its competence, of illegal migration, smuggling, trafficking in human beings, trajfic of weapons and ammunitions, radioactive substances and waists, narcotic and psychotropic substances and their precursors, as well as crossing of the state border by the members of terrorist's groups and organizations'~,
The Government of the Republic of Moldova signed an Agreement with the Government of Romania on the establishment: and functioning of the Joint Contact Center Galati at 31 May 2012, in Galati, Romania. In according with Artid.e 9 .. Exchange of information, the Center will cooperate on: "g) combating cross-border crime, including trafficking in human beings, illegal migration, smuggling, illegal of weapons, explosives, ammunf tion, radioactive substances, narcotics, psychotropic substances and precursors;'.
