Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth[month], in the fifth [day] of the month, as I [was] amongthe captives by the river of Chebar, [that] the heavenswere opened, and I saw visions of God. Chap. 1, Verse 1,[EZE].

In the fifth [day] of the month, which [was] the fifthyear of king Jehoiachin's captivity, Chap. 1, Verse 2,[EZE].

The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel thepriest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans bythe river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there uponhim. Chap. 1, Verse 3, [EZE].

And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of thenorth, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and abrightness [was] about it, and out of the midst thereof asthe colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire. Chap.1, Verse 4, [EZE].

Also out of the midst thereof [came] the likeness of fourliving creatures. And this [was] their appearance; they hadthe likeness of a man. Chap. 1, Verse 5, [EZE].

And every one had four faces, and every one had fourwings. Chap. 1, Verse 6, [EZE].

And their feet [were] straight feet; and the sole of theirfeet [was] like the sole of a calf's foot: and theysparkled like the colour of burnished brass. Chap. 1,Verse 7, [EZE].

And [they had] the hands of a man under their wings ontheir four sides; and they four had their faces and theirwings. Chap. 1, Verse 8, [EZE].

Their wings [were] joined one to another; they turned notwhen they went; they went every one straight forward.Chap. 1, Verse 9, [EZE].

As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the faceof a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: andthey four had the face of an ox on the left side; they fouralso had the face of an eagle. Chap. 1, Verse 10, [EZE].

Thus [were] their faces: and their wings [were] stretchedupward; two [wings] of every one [were] joined one toanother, and two covered their bodies. Chap. 1, Verse 11,[EZE].

And they went every one straight forward: whither thespirit was to go, they went; [and] they turned not whenthey went. Chap. 1, Verse 12, [EZE].

As for the likeness of the living creatures, theirappearance [was] like burning coals of fire, [and] like theappearance of lamps: it went up and down among the livingcreatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the firewent forth lightning. Chap. 1, Verse 13, [EZE].

And the living creatures ran and returned as theappearance of a flash of lightning. Chap. 1, Verse 14,[EZE].

Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheelupon the earth by the living creatures, with his fourfaces. Chap. 1, Verse 15, [EZE].

The appearance of the wheels and their work [was] likeunto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness:and their appearance and their work [was] as it were awheel in the middle of a wheel. Chap. 1, Verse 16, [EZE].

When they went, they went upon their four sides: [and]they turned not when they went. Chap. 1, Verse 17, [EZE].

As for their rings, they were so high that they weredreadful; and their rings [were] full of eyes round aboutthem four. Chap. 1, Verse 18, [EZE].

And when the living creatures went, the wheels went bythem: and when the living creatures were lifted up from theearth, the wheels were lifted up. Chap. 1, Verse 19,[EZE].

Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither[was their] spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted upover against them: for the spirit of the living creature[was] in the wheels. Chap. 1, Verse 20, [EZE].

When those went, [these] went; and when those stood,[these] stood; and when those were lifted up from the

earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for thespirit of the living creature [was] in the wheels. Chap.1, Verse 21, [EZE].

And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of theliving creature [was] as the colour of the terriblecrystal, stretched forth over their heads above. Chap. 1,Verse 22, [EZE].

And under the firmament [were] their wings straight, theone toward the other: every one had two, which covered onthis side, and every one had two, which covered on thatside, their bodies. Chap. 1, Verse 23, [EZE].

And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, likethe noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty,the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when theystood, they let down their wings. Chap. 1, Verse 24,[EZE].

And there was a voice from the firmament that [was] overtheir heads, when they stood, [and] had let down theirwings. Chap. 1, Verse 25, [EZE].

And above the firmament that [was] over their heads [was]the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphirestone: and upon the likeness of the throne [was] thelikeness as the appearance of a man above upon it. Chap.1, Verse 26, [EZE].

And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance offire round about within it, from the appearance of hisloins even upward, and from the appearance of his loinseven downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, andit had brightness round about. Chap. 1, Verse 27, [EZE].

As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in theday of rain, so [was] the appearance of the brightnessround about. This [was] the appearance of the likeness ofthe glory of the LORD. And when I saw [it], I fell upon myface, and I heard a voice of one that spake. Chap. 1,Verse 28, [EZE].

And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, andI will speak unto thee. Chap. 2, Verse 1, [EZE].

And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and

set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.Chap. 2, Verse 2, [EZE].

And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to thechildren of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hathrebelled against me: they and their fathers havetransgressed against me, [even] unto this very day. Chap.2, Verse 3, [EZE].

For [they are] impudent children and stiffhearted. I dosend thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thussaith the Lord GOD. Chap. 2, Verse 4, [EZE].

And they, whether they will hear, or whether they willforbear, (for they [are] a rebellious house,) yet shallknow that there hath been a prophet among them. Chap. 2,Verse 5, [EZE].

And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither beafraid of their words, though briers and thorns [be] withthee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid oftheir words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they[be] a rebellious house. Chap. 2, Verse 6, [EZE].

And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they willhear, or whether they will forbear: for they [are] mostrebellious. Chap. 2, Verse 7, [EZE].

But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be notthou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth,and eat that I give thee. Chap. 2, Verse 8, [EZE].

And when I looked, behold, an hand [was] sent unto me;and, lo, a roll of a book [was] therein; Chap. 2, Verse 9,[EZE].

And he spread it before me; and it [was] written withinand without: and [there was] written therein lamentations,and mourning, and woe. Chap. 2, Verse 10, [EZE].

Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thoufindest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house ofIsrael. Chap. 3, Verse 1, [EZE].

So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll.Chap. 3, Verse 2, [EZE].

And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat,and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Thendid I eat [it]; and it was in my mouth as honey forsweetness. Chap. 3, Verse 3, [EZE].

And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto thehouse of Israel, and speak with my words unto them. Chap.3, Verse 4, [EZE].

For thou [art] not sent to a people of a strange speechand of an hard language, [but] to the house of Israel;Chap. 3, Verse 5, [EZE].

Not to many people of a strange speech and of an hardlanguage, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely,had I sent thee to them, they would have hearkened untothee. Chap. 3, Verse 6, [EZE].

But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; forthey will not hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel[are] impudent and hardhearted. Chap. 3, Verse 7, [EZE].

Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces,and thy forehead strong against their foreheads. Chap. 3,Verse 8, [EZE].

As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead:fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, thoughthey [be] a rebellious house. Chap. 3, Verse 9, [EZE].

Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, all my words that Ishall speak unto thee receive in thine heart, and hear withthine ears. Chap. 3, Verse 10, [EZE].

And go, get thee to them of the captivity, unto thechildren of thy people, and speak unto them, and tell them,Thus saith the Lord GOD; whether they will hear, or whetherthey will forbear. Chap. 3, Verse 11, [EZE].

Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voiceof a great rushing, [saying], Blessed [be] the glory of theLORD from his place. Chap. 3, Verse 12, [EZE].

[I heard] also the noise of the wings of the livingcreatures that touched one another, and the noise of thewheels over against them, and a noise of a great rushing.Chap. 3, Verse 13, [EZE].

So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I wentin bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand ofthe LORD was strong upon me. Chap. 3, Verse 14, [EZE].

Then I came to them of the captivity at Tel-abib, thatdwelt by the river of Chebar, and I sat where they sat, andremained there astonished among them seven days. Chap. 3,Verse 15, [EZE].

And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that theword of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap. 3, Verse 16,[EZE].

Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house ofIsrael: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give themwarning from me. Chap. 3, Verse 17, [EZE].

When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; andthou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn thewicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the samewicked [man] shall die in his iniquity; but his blood willI require at thine hand. Chap. 3, Verse 18, [EZE].

Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from hiswickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in hisiniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. Chap. 3, Verse19, [EZE].

Again, When a righteous [man] doth turn from hisrighteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay astumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hastnot given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and hisrighteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered;but his blood will I require at thine hand. Chap. 3, Verse20, [EZE].

Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous [man], that therighteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surelylive, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thysoul. Chap. 3, Verse 21, [EZE].

And the hand of the LORD was there upon me; and he saidunto me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will theretalk with thee. Chap. 3, Verse 22, [EZE].

Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold,

the glory of the LORD stood there, as the glory which I sawby the river of Chebar: and I fell on my face. Chap. 3,Verse 23, [EZE].

Then the spirit entered into me, and set me upon my feet,and spake with me, and said unto me, Go, shut thyselfwithin thine house. Chap. 3, Verse 24, [EZE].

But thou, O son of man, behold, they shall put bands uponthee, and shall bind thee with them, and thou shalt not goout among them: Chap. 3, Verse 25, [EZE].

And I will make thy tongue cleave to the roof of thymouth, that thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not be to them areprover: for they [are] a rebellious house. Chap. 3,Verse 26, [EZE].

But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, andthou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; He thatheareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let himforbear: for they [are] a rebellious house. Chap. 3, Verse27, [EZE].

Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it beforethee, and portray upon it the city, [even] Jerusalem:Chap. 4, Verse 1, [EZE].

And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, andcast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, andset [battering] rams against it round about. Chap. 4,Verse 2, [EZE].

Moreover take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it [for]a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy faceagainst it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt laysiege against it. This [shall be] a sign to the house ofIsrael. Chap. 4, Verse 3, [EZE].

Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity ofthe house of Israel upon it: [according] to the number ofthe days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear theiriniquity. Chap. 4, Verse 4, [EZE].

For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity,according to the number of the days, three hundred andninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the houseof Israel. Chap. 4, Verse 5, [EZE].

And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thyright side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the houseof Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for ayear. Chap. 4, Verse 6, [EZE].

Therefore thou shalt set thy face toward the siege ofJerusalem, and thine arm [shall be] uncovered, and thoushalt prophesy against it. Chap. 4, Verse 7, [EZE].

And, behold, I will lay bands upon thee, and thou shaltnot turn thee from one side to another, till thou hastended the days of thy siege. Chap. 4, Verse 8, [EZE].

Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, andlentiles, and millet, and fitches, and put them in onevessel, and make thee bread thereof, [according] to thenumber of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, threehundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof. Chap. 4,Verse 9, [EZE].

And thy meat which thou shalt eat [shall be] by weight,twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it.Chap. 4, Verse 10, [EZE].

Thou shalt drink also water by measure, the sixth part ofan hin: from time to time shalt thou drink. Chap. 4, Verse11, [EZE].

And thou shalt eat it [as] barley cakes, and thou shaltbake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight.Chap. 4, Verse 12, [EZE].

And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israeleat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I willdrive them. Chap. 4, Verse 13, [EZE].

Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not beenpolluted: for from my youth up even till now have I noteaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces;neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth. Chap.4, Verse 14, [EZE].

Then he said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow's dung forman's dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith.Chap. 4, Verse 15, [EZE].

Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will breakthe staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat breadby weight, and with care; and they shall drink water bymeasure, and with astonishment: Chap. 4, Verse 16, [EZE].

That they may want bread and water, and be astonied onewith another, and consume away for their iniquity. Chap.4, Verse 17, [EZE].

And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee abarber's razor, and cause [it] to pass upon thine head andupon thy beard: then take thee balances to weigh, anddivide the [hair]. Chap. 5, Verse 1, [EZE].

Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of thecity, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thoushalt take a third part, [and] smite about it with a knife:and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I willdraw out a sword after them. Chap. 5, Verse 2, [EZE].

Thou shalt also take thereof a few in number, and bindthem in thy skirts. Chap. 5, Verse 3, [EZE].

Then take of them again, and cast them into the midst ofthe fire, and burn them in the fire; [for] thereof shall afire come forth into all the house of Israel. Chap. 5,Verse 4, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; This [is] Jerusalem: I have setit in the midst of the nations and countries [that are]round about her. Chap. 5, Verse 5, [EZE].

And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness morethan the nations, and my statutes more than the countriesthat [are] round about her: for they have refused myjudgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them.Chap. 5, Verse 6, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye multipliedmore than the nations that [are] round about you, [and]have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept myjudgments, neither have done according to the judgments ofthe nations that [are] round about you; Chap. 5, Verse 7,[EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, [am]against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of

thee in the sight of the nations. Chap. 5, Verse 8, [EZE].

And I will do in thee that which I have not done, andwhereunto I will not do any more the like, because of allthine abominations. Chap. 5, Verse 9, [EZE].

Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst ofthee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I willexecute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of theewill I scatter into all the winds. Chap. 5, Verse 10,[EZE].

Wherefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely,because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thydetestable things, and with all thine abominations,therefore will I also diminish [thee]; neither shall mineeye spare, neither will I have any pity. Chap. 5, Verse11, [EZE].

A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, andwith famine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee:and a third part shall fall by the sword round about thee;and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and Iwill draw out a sword after them. Chap. 5, Verse 12,[EZE].

Thus shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause myfury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and theyshall know that I the LORD have spoken [it] in my zeal,when I have accomplished my fury in them. Chap. 5, Verse13, [EZE].

Moreover I will make thee waste, and a reproach among thenations that [are] round about thee, in the sight of allthat pass by. Chap. 5, Verse 14, [EZE].

So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction andan astonishment unto the nations that [are] round aboutthee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger andin fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken[it]. Chap. 5, Verse 15, [EZE].

When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine,which shall be for [their] destruction, [and] which I willsend to destroy you: and I will increase the famine uponyou, and will break your staff of bread: Chap. 5, Verse16, [EZE].

So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and theyshall bereave thee; and pestilence and blood shall passthrough thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I theLORD have spoken [it]. Chap. 5, Verse 17, [EZE].

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap. 6,Verse 1, [EZE].

Son of man, set thy face toward the mountains of Israel,and prophesy against them, Chap. 6, Verse 2, [EZE].

And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LordGOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to thehills, to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, [even]I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy yourhigh places. Chap. 6, Verse 3, [EZE].

And your altars shall be desolate, and your images shallbe broken: and I will cast down your slain [men] beforeyour idols. Chap. 6, Verse 4, [EZE].

And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of Israelbefore their idols; and I will scatter your bones roundabout your altars. Chap. 6, Verse 5, [EZE].

In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste,and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars maybe laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may bebroken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and yourworks may be abolished. Chap. 6, Verse 6, [EZE].

And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shallknow that I [am] the LORD. Chap. 6, Verse 7, [EZE].

Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have [some] thatshall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall bescattered through the countries. Chap. 6, Verse 8, [EZE].

And they that escape of you shall remember me among thenations whither they shall be carried captives, because Iam broken with their whorish heart, which hath departedfrom me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring aftertheir idols: and they shall loathe themselves for the evilswhich they have committed in all their abominations. Chap.6, Verse 9, [EZE].

And they shall know that I [am] the LORD, [and that] Ihave not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.Chap. 6, Verse 10, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Smite with thine hand, and stampwith thy foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominationsof the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword,by the famine, and by the pestilence. Chap. 6, Verse 11,[EZE].

He that is far off shall die of the pestilence; and hethat is near shall fall by the sword; and he that remainethand is besieged shall die by the famine: thus will Iaccomplish my fury upon them. Chap. 6, Verse 12, [EZE].

Then shall ye know that I [am] the LORD, when their slain[men] shall be among their idols round about their altars,upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, andunder every green tree, and under every thick oak, theplace where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols.Chap. 6, Verse 13, [EZE].

So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the landdesolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness towardDiblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know thatI [am] the LORD. Chap. 6, Verse 14, [EZE].

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap.7, Verse 1, [EZE].

Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD unto theland of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the fourcorners of the land. Chap. 7, Verse 2, [EZE].

Now [is] the end [come] upon thee, and I will send mineanger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways,and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations.Chap. 7, Verse 3, [EZE].

And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I havepity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thineabominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shallknow that I [am] the LORD. Chap. 7, Verse 4, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; An evil, an only evil, behold, iscome. Chap. 7, Verse 5, [EZE].

An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee;behold, it is come. Chap. 7, Verse 6, [EZE].

The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in theland: the time is come, the day of trouble [is] near, andnot the sounding again of the mountains. Chap. 7, Verse 7,[EZE].

Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, andaccomplish mine anger upon thee: and I will judge theeaccording to thy ways, and will recompense thee for allthine abominations. Chap. 7, Verse 8, [EZE].

And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: Iwill recompense thee according to thy ways and thineabominations [that] are in the midst of thee; and ye shallknow that I [am] the LORD that smiteth. Chap. 7, Verse 9,[EZE].

Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is goneforth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded. Chap. 7,Verse 10, [EZE].

Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none ofthem [shall remain], nor of their multitude, nor of any oftheirs: neither [shall there be] wailing for them. Chap.7, Verse 11, [EZE].

The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyerrejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath [is] upon all themultitude thereof. Chap. 7, Verse 12, [EZE].

For the seller shall not return to that which is sold,although they were yet alive: for the vision [is] touchingthe whole multitude thereof, [which] shall not return;neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of hislife. Chap. 7, Verse 13, [EZE].

They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; butnone goeth to the battle: for my wrath [is] upon all themultitude thereof. Chap. 7, Verse 14, [EZE].

The sword [is] without, and the pestilence and the faminewithin: he that [is] in the field shall die with the sword;and he that [is] in the city, famine and pestilence shalldevour him. Chap. 7, Verse 15, [EZE].

But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be onthe mountains like doves of the valleys, all of themmourning, every one for his iniquity. Chap. 7, Verse 16,[EZE].

All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak[as] water. Chap. 7, Verse 17, [EZE].

They shall also gird [themselves] with sackcloth, andhorror shall cover them; and shame [shall be] upon allfaces, and baldness upon all their heads. Chap. 7, Verse18, [EZE].

They shall cast their silver in the streets, and theirgold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shallnot be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of theLORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither filltheir bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of theiriniquity. Chap. 7, Verse 19, [EZE].

As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty:but they made the images of their abominations [and] oftheir detestable things therein: therefore have I set itfar from them. Chap. 7, Verse 20, [EZE].

And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for aprey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and theyshall pollute it. Chap. 7, Verse 21, [EZE].

My face will I turn also from them, and they shall pollutemy secret [place]: for the robbers shall enter into it, anddefile it. Chap. 7, Verse 22, [EZE].

Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, andthe city is full of violence. Chap. 7, Verse 23, [EZE].

Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and theyshall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp ofthe strong to cease; and their holy places shall bedefiled. Chap. 7, Verse 24, [EZE].

Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and [thereshall be] none. Chap. 7, Verse 25, [EZE].

Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumour shall beupon rumour; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet;but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from

the ancients. Chap. 7, Verse 26, [EZE].

The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed withdesolation, and the hands of the people of the land shallbe troubled: I will do unto them after their way, andaccording to their deserts will I judge them; and theyshall know that I [am] the LORD. Chap. 7, Verse 27, [EZE].

And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth[month], in the fifth [day] of the month, [as] I sat inmine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that thehand of the Lord GOD fell there upon me. Chap. 8, Verse 1,[EZE].

Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance offire: from the appearance of his loins even downward, fire;and from his loins even upward, as the appearance ofbrightness, as the colour of amber. Chap. 8, Verse 2,[EZE].

And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by alock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between theearth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of Godto Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that lookethtoward the north; where [was] the seat of the image ofjealousy, which provoketh to jealousy. Chap. 8, Verse 3,[EZE].

And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel [was] there,according to the vision that I saw in the plain. Chap. 8,Verse 4, [EZE].

Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes nowthe way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the waytoward the north, and behold northward at the gate of thealtar this image of jealousy in the entry. Chap. 8, Verse5, [EZE].

He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou whatthey do? [even] the great abominations that the house ofIsrael committeth here, that I should go far off from mysanctuary? but turn thee yet again, [and] thou shalt seegreater abominations. Chap. 8, Verse 6, [EZE].

And he brought me to the door of the court; and when Ilooked, behold a hole in the wall. Chap. 8, Verse 7,[EZE].

Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: andwhen I had digged in the wall, behold a door. Chap. 8,Verse 8, [EZE].

And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wickedabominations that they do here. Chap. 8, Verse 9, [EZE].

So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creepingthings, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of thehouse of Israel, portrayed upon the wall round about.Chap. 8, Verse 10, [EZE].

And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients ofthe house of Israel, and in the midst of them stoodJaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer inhis hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up. Chap. 8,Verse 11, [EZE].

Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what theancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every manin the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The LORDseeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth. Chap. 8,Verse 12, [EZE].

He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, [and] thoushalt see greater abominations that they do. Chap. 8,Verse 13, [EZE].

Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD'Shouse which [was] toward the north; and, behold, there satwomen weeping for Tammuz. Chap. 8, Verse 14, [EZE].

Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen [this], O son of man?turn thee yet again, [and] thou shalt see greaterabominations than these. Chap. 8, Verse 15, [EZE].

And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD'Shouse, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD,between the porch and the altar, [were] about five andtwenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD,and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped thesun toward the east. Chap. 8, Verse 16, [EZE].

Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen [this], O son of man?Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they committhe abominations which they commit here? for they have

filled the land with violence, and have returned to provokeme to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.Chap. 8, Verse 17, [EZE].

Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall notspare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry inmine ears with a loud voice, [yet] will I not hear them.Chap. 8, Verse 18, [EZE].

He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying,Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near,even every man [with] his destroying weapon in his hand.Chap. 9, Verse 1, [EZE].

And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate,which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughterweapon in his hand; and one man among them [was] clothedwith linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and theywent in, and stood beside the brasen altar. Chap. 9, Verse2, [EZE].

And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from thecherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house.And he called to the man clothed with linen, which [had]the writer's inkhorn by his side; Chap. 9, Verse 3, [EZE].

And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of thecity, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark uponthe foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all theabominations that be done in the midst thereof. Chap. 9,Verse 4, [EZE].

And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after himthrough the city, and smite: let not your eye spare,neither have ye pity: Chap. 9, Verse 5, [EZE].

Slay utterly old [and] young, both maids, and littlechildren, and women: but come not near any man upon whom[is] the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they beganat the ancient men which [were] before the house. Chap. 9,Verse 6, [EZE].

And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill thecourts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth,and slew in the city. Chap. 9, Verse 7, [EZE].

And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I

was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, AhLord GOD! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel inthy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem? Chap. 9, Verse8, [EZE].

Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israeland Judah [is] exceeding great, and the land is full ofblood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, TheLORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not.Chap. 9, Verse 9, [EZE].

And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither willI have pity, [but] I will recompense their way upon theirhead. Chap. 9, Verse 10, [EZE].

And, behold, the man clothed with linen, which [had] theinkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, I havedone as thou hast commanded me. Chap. 9, Verse 11, [EZE].

Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that wasabove the head of the cherubims there appeared over them asit were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likenessof a throne. Chap. 10, Verse 1, [EZE].

And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Goin between the wheels, [even] under the cherub, and fillthine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims,and scatter [them] over the city. And he went in in mysight. Chap. 10, Verse 2, [EZE].

Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house,when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.Chap. 10, Verse 3, [EZE].

Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, [andstood] over the threshold of the house; and the house wasfilled with the cloud, and the court was full of thebrightness of the LORD'S glory. Chap. 10, Verse 4, [EZE].

And the sound of the cherubims' wings was heard [even] tothe outer court, as the voice of the Almighty God when hespeaketh. Chap. 10, Verse 5, [EZE].

And it came to pass, [that] when he had commanded the manclothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between thewheels, from between the cherubims; then he went in, andstood beside the wheels. Chap. 10, Verse 6, [EZE].

And [one] cherub stretched forth his hand from between thecherubims unto the fire that [was] between the cherubims,and took [thereof], and put [it] into the hands of [himthat was] clothed with linen: who took [it], and went out.Chap. 10, Verse 7, [EZE].

And there appeared in the cherubims the form of a man'shand under their wings. Chap. 10, Verse 8, [EZE].

And when I looked, behold the four wheels by thecherubims, one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel byanother cherub: and the appearance of the wheels [was] asthe colour of a beryl stone. Chap. 10, Verse 9, [EZE].

And [as for] their appearances, they four had onelikeness, as if a wheel had been in the midst of a wheel.Chap. 10, Verse 10, [EZE].

When they went, they went upon their four sides; theyturned not as they went, but to the place whither the headlooked they followed it; they turned not as they went.Chap. 10, Verse 11, [EZE].

And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands,and their wings, and the wheels, [were] full of eyes roundabout, [even] the wheels that they four had. Chap. 10,Verse 12, [EZE].

As for the wheels, it was cried unto them in my hearing, Owheel. Chap. 10, Verse 13, [EZE].

And every one had four faces: the first face [was] theface of a cherub, and the second face [was] the face of aman, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth theface of an eagle. Chap. 10, Verse 14, [EZE].

And the cherubims were lifted up. This [is] the livingcreature that I saw by the river of Chebar. Chap. 10,Verse 15, [EZE].

And when the cherubims went, the wheels went by them: andwhen the cherubims lifted up their wings to mount up fromthe earth, the same wheels also turned not from besidethem. Chap. 10, Verse 16, [EZE].

When they stood, [these] stood; and when they were lifted

up, [these] lifted up themselves [also]: for the spirit ofthe living creature [was] in them. Chap. 10, Verse 17,[EZE].

Then the glory of the LORD departed from off the thresholdof the house, and stood over the cherubims. Chap. 10,Verse 18, [EZE].

And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted upfrom the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheelsalso [were] beside them, and [every one] stood at the doorof the east gate of the LORD'S house; and the glory of theGod of Israel [was] over them above. Chap. 10, Verse 19,[EZE].

This [is] the living creature that I saw under the God ofIsrael by the river of Chebar; and I knew that they [were]the cherubims. Chap. 10, Verse 20, [EZE].

Every one had four faces apiece, and every one four wings;and the likeness of the hands of a man [was] under theirwings. Chap. 10, Verse 21, [EZE].

And the likeness of their faces [was] the same faces whichI saw by the river of Chebar, their appearances andthemselves: they went every one straight forward. Chap.10, Verse 22, [EZE].

Moreover the spirit lifted me up, and brought me unto theeast gate of the LORD'S house, which looketh eastward: andbehold at the door of the gate five and twenty men; amongwhom I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azur, and Pelatiah the sonof Benaiah, princes of the people. Chap. 11, Verse 1,[EZE].

Then said he unto me, Son of man, these [are] the men thatdevise mischief, and give wicked counsel in this city:Chap. 11, Verse 2, [EZE].

Which say, [It is] not near; let us build houses: this[city is] the caldron, and we [be] the flesh. Chap. 11,Verse 3, [EZE].

Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man.Chap. 11, Verse 4, [EZE].

And the Spirit of the LORD fell upon me, and said unto me,

Speak; Thus saith the LORD; Thus have ye said, O house ofIsrael: for I know the things that come into your mind,[every one of] them. Chap. 11, Verse 5, [EZE].

Ye have multiplied your slain in this city, and ye havefilled the streets thereof with the slain. Chap. 11, Verse6, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Your slain whom ye havelaid in the midst of it, they [are] the flesh, and this[city is] the caldron: but I will bring you forth out ofthe midst of it. Chap. 11, Verse 7, [EZE].

Ye have feared the sword; and I will bring a sword uponyou, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 11, Verse 8, [EZE].

And I will bring you out of the midst thereof, and deliveryou into the hands of strangers, and will execute judgmentsamong you. Chap. 11, Verse 9, [EZE].

Ye shall fall by the sword; I will judge you in the borderof Israel; and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD. Chap.11, Verse 10, [EZE].

This [city] shall not be your caldron, neither shall ye bethe flesh in the midst thereof; [but] I will judge you inthe border of Israel: Chap. 11, Verse 11, [EZE].

And ye shall know that I [am] the LORD: for ye have notwalked in my statutes, neither executed my judgments, buthave done after the manners of the heathen that [are] roundabout you. Chap. 11, Verse 12, [EZE].

And it came to pass, when I prophesied, that Pelatiah theson of Benaiah died. Then fell I down upon my face, andcried with a loud voice, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thoumake a full end of the remnant of Israel? Chap. 11, Verse13, [EZE].

Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap.11, Verse 14, [EZE].

Son of man, thy brethren, [even] thy brethren, the men ofthy kindred, and all the house of Israel wholly, [are] theyunto whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Get youfar from the LORD: unto us is this land given inpossession. Chap. 11, Verse 15, [EZE].

Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I havecast them far off among the heathen, and although I havescattered them among the countries, yet will I be to themas a little sanctuary in the countries where they shallcome. Chap. 11, Verse 16, [EZE].

Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even gatheryou from the people, and assemble you out of the countrieswhere ye have been scattered, and I will give you the landof Israel. Chap. 11, Verse 17, [EZE].

And they shall come thither, and they shall take away allthe detestable things thereof and all the abominationsthereof from thence. Chap. 11, Verse 18, [EZE].

And I will give them one heart, and I will put a newspirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out oftheir flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: Chap.11, Verse 19, [EZE].

That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mineordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and Iwill be their God. Chap. 11, Verse 20, [EZE].

But [as for them] whose heart walketh after the heart oftheir detestable things and their abominations, I willrecompense their way upon their own heads, saith the LordGOD. Chap. 11, Verse 21, [EZE].

Then did the cherubims lift up their wings, and the wheelsbeside them; and the glory of the God of Israel [was] overthem above. Chap. 11, Verse 22, [EZE].

And the glory of the LORD went up from the midst of thecity, and stood upon the mountain which [is] on the eastside of the city. Chap. 11, Verse 23, [EZE].

Afterwards the spirit took me up, and brought me in avision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of thecaptivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.Chap. 11, Verse 24, [EZE].

Then I spake unto them of the captivity all the thingsthat the LORD had shewed me. Chap. 11, Verse 25, [EZE].

The word of the LORD also came unto me, saying, Chap. 12,

Verse 1, [EZE].

Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellioushouse, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have earsto hear, and hear not: for they [are] a rebellious house.Chap. 12, Verse 2, [EZE].

Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff forremoving, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shaltremove from thy place to another place in their sight: itmay be they will consider, though they [be] a rebellioushouse. Chap. 12, Verse 3, [EZE].

Then shalt thou bring forth thy stuff by day in theirsight, as stuff for removing: and thou shalt go forth ateven in their sight, as they that go forth into captivity.Chap. 12, Verse 4, [EZE].

Dig thou through the wall in their sight, and carry outthereby. Chap. 12, Verse 5, [EZE].

In their sight shalt thou bear [it] upon [thy] shoulders,[and] carry [it] forth in the twilight: thou shalt coverthy face, that thou see not the ground: for I have set thee[for] a sign unto the house of Israel. Chap. 12, Verse 6,[EZE].

And I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my stuffby day, as stuff for captivity, and in the even I diggedthrough the wall with mine hand; I brought [it] forth inthe twilight, [and] I bare [it] upon [my] shoulder in theirsight. Chap. 12, Verse 7, [EZE].

And in the morning came the word of the LORD unto me,saying, Chap. 12, Verse 8, [EZE].

Son of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellioushouse, said unto thee, What doest thou? Chap. 12, Verse 9,[EZE].

Say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; This burden[concerneth] the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house ofIsrael that [are] among them. Chap. 12, Verse 10, [EZE].

Say, I [am] your sign: like as I have done, so shall it bedone unto them: they shall remove [and] go into captivity.Chap. 12, Verse 11, [EZE].

And the prince that [is] among them shall bear upon [his]shoulder in the twilight, and shall go forth: they shalldig through the wall to carry out thereby: he shall coverhis face, that he see not the ground with [his] eyes.Chap. 12, Verse 12, [EZE].

My net also will I spread upon him, and he shall be takenin my snare: and I will bring him to Babylon [to] the landof the Chaldeans; yet shall he not see it, though he shalldie there. Chap. 12, Verse 13, [EZE].

And I will scatter toward every wind all that [are] abouthim to help him, and all his bands; and I will draw out thesword after them. Chap. 12, Verse 14, [EZE].

And they shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I shallscatter them among the nations, and disperse them in thecountries. Chap. 12, Verse 15, [EZE].

But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, fromthe famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declareall their abominations among the heathen whither they come;and they shall know that I [am] the LORD. Chap. 12, Verse16, [EZE].

Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Chap.12, Verse 17, [EZE].

Son of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink thywater with trembling and with carefulness; Chap. 12, Verse18, [EZE].

And say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the LordGOD of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, [and] of the land ofIsrael; They shall eat their bread with carefulness, anddrink their water with astonishment, that her land may bedesolate from all that is therein, because of the violenceof all them that dwell therein. Chap. 12, Verse 19, [EZE].

And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, andthe land shall be desolate; and ye shall know that I [am]the LORD. Chap. 12, Verse 20, [EZE].

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap. 12,Verse 21, [EZE].

Son of man, what [is] that proverb [that] ye have in theland of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and everyvision faileth? Chap. 12, Verse 22, [EZE].

Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will makethis proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as aproverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand,and the effect of every vision. Chap. 12, Verse 23, [EZE].

For there shall be no more any vain vision nor flatteringdivination within the house of Israel. Chap. 12, Verse 24,[EZE].

For I [am] the LORD: I will speak, and the word that Ishall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no moreprolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I saythe word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD. Chap.12, Verse 25, [EZE].

Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Chap. 12,Verse 26, [EZE].

Son of man, behold, [they of] the house of Israel say, Thevision that he seeth [is] for many days [to come], and heprophesieth of the times [that are] far off. Chap. 12,Verse 27, [EZE].

Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thereshall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the wordwhich I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD.Chap. 12, Verse 28, [EZE].

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap. 13,Verse 1, [EZE].

Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel thatprophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of theirown hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Chap. 13, Verse2, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets,that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! Chap.13, Verse 3, [EZE].

O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.Chap. 13, Verse 4, [EZE].

Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up thehedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in theday of the LORD. Chap. 13, Verse 5, [EZE].

They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, TheLORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they havemade [others] to hope that they would confirm the word.Chap. 13, Verse 6, [EZE].

Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken alying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith [it];albeit I have not spoken? Chap. 13, Verse 7, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have spokenvanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I [am] againstyou, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 13, Verse 8, [EZE].

And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity,and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly ofmy people, neither shall they be written in the writing ofthe house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the landof Israel; and ye shall know that I [am] the Lord GOD.Chap. 13, Verse 9, [EZE].

Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying,Peace; and [there was] no peace; and one built up a wall,and, lo, others daubed it with untempered [mortar]: Chap.13, Verse 10, [EZE].

Say unto them which daub [it] with untempered [mortar],that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower;and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy windshall rend [it]. Chap. 13, Verse 11, [EZE].

Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said untoyou, Where [is] the daubing wherewith ye have daubed [it]?Chap. 13, Verse 12, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend [it]with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be anoverflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in[my] fury to consume [it]. Chap. 13, Verse 13, [EZE].

So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed withuntempered [mortar], and bring it down to the ground, sothat the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and itshall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof:

and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD. Chap. 13, Verse14, [EZE].

Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and uponthem that have daubed it with untempered [mortar], and willsay unto you, The wall [is] no [more], neither they thatdaubed it; Chap. 13, Verse 15, [EZE].

[To wit], the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerningJerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and[there is] no peace, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 13, Verse16, [EZE].

Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against thedaughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their ownheart; and prophesy thou against them, Chap. 13, Verse 17,[EZE].

And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the [women] thatsew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon thehead of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the soulsof my people, and will ye save the souls alive [that come]unto you? Chap. 13, Verse 18, [EZE].

And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls ofbarley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls thatshould not die, and to save the souls alive that should notlive, by your lying to my people that hear [your] lies?Chap. 13, Verse 19, [EZE].

Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] againstyour pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make[them] fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and willlet the souls go, [even] the souls that ye hunt to make[them] fly. Chap. 13, Verse 20, [EZE].

Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people outof your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to behunted; and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD. Chap. 13,Verse 21, [EZE].

Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteoussad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the handsof the wicked, that he should not return from his wickedway, by promising him life: Chap. 13, Verse 22, [EZE].

Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine

divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand:and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD. Chap. 13, Verse23, [EZE].

Then came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and satbefore me. Chap. 14, Verse 1, [EZE].

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap. 14,Verse 2, [EZE].

Son of man, these men have set up their idols in theirheart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity beforetheir face: should I be inquired of at all by them? Chap.14, Verse 3, [EZE].

Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saiththe Lord GOD; Every man of the house of Israel that settethup his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblockof his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet;I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to themultitude of his idols; Chap. 14, Verse 4, [EZE].

That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart,because they are all estranged from me through their idols.Chap. 14, Verse 5, [EZE].

Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith theLord GOD; Repent, and turn [yourselves] from your idols;and turn away your faces from all your abominations. Chap.14, Verse 6, [EZE].

For every one of the house of Israel, or of the strangerthat sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself fromme, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth thestumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and comethto a prophet to inquire of him concerning me; I the LORDwill answer him by myself: Chap. 14, Verse 7, [EZE].

And I will set my face against that man, and will make hima sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midstof my people; and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD.Chap. 14, Verse 8, [EZE].

And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken athing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I willstretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from themidst of my people Israel. Chap. 14, Verse 9, [EZE].

And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: thepunishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishmentof him that seeketh [unto him]; Chap. 14, Verse 10, [EZE].

That the house of Israel may go no more astray from me,neither be polluted any more with all their transgressions;but that they may be my people, and I may be their God,saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 14, Verse 11, [EZE].

The word of the LORD came again to me, saying, Chap. 14,Verse 12, [EZE].

Son of man, when the land sinneth against me bytrespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine handupon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, andwill send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beastfrom it: Chap. 14, Verse 13, [EZE].

Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it,they should deliver [but] their own souls by theirrighteousness, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 14, Verse 14,[EZE].

If I cause noisome beasts to pass through the land, andthey spoil it, so that it be desolate, that no man may passthrough because of the beasts: Chap. 14, Verse 15, [EZE].

[Though] these three men [were] in it, [as] I live, saiththe Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nordaughters; they only shall be delivered, but the land shallbe desolate. Chap. 14, Verse 16, [EZE].

Or [if] I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, gothrough the land; so that I cut off man and beast from it:Chap. 14, Verse 17, [EZE].

Though these three men [were] in it, [as] I live, saiththe Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nordaughters, but they only shall be delivered themselves.Chap. 14, Verse 18, [EZE].

Or [if] I send a pestilence into that land, and pour outmy fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast:Chap. 14, Verse 19, [EZE].

Though Noah, Daniel, and Job, [were] in it, [as] I live,

saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither son nordaughter; they shall [but] deliver their own souls by theirrighteousness. Chap. 14, Verse 20, [EZE].

For thus saith the Lord GOD; How much more when I send myfour sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and thefamine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cutoff from it man and beast? Chap. 14, Verse 21, [EZE].

Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall bebrought forth, [both] sons and daughters: behold, theyshall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way andtheir doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evilthat I have brought upon Jerusalem, [even] concerning allthat I have brought upon it. Chap. 14, Verse 22, [EZE].

And they shall comfort you, when ye see their ways andtheir doings: and ye shall know that I have not donewithout cause all that I have done in it, saith the LordGOD. Chap. 14, Verse 23, [EZE].

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap. 15,Verse 1, [EZE].

Son of man, What is the vine tree more than any tree, [orthan] a branch which is among the trees of the forest?Chap. 15, Verse 2, [EZE].

Shall wood be taken thereof to do any work? or will [men]take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon? Chap. 15,Verse 3, [EZE].

Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the firedevoureth both the ends of it, and the midst of it isburned. Is it meet for [any] work? Chap. 15, Verse 4,[EZE].

Behold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: howmuch less shall it be meet yet for [any] work, when thefire hath devoured it, and it is burned? Chap. 15, Verse5, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As the vine tree amongthe trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire forfuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Chap.15, Verse 6, [EZE].

And I will set my face against them; they shall go outfrom [one] fire, and [another] fire shall devour them; andye shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I set my faceagainst them. Chap. 15, Verse 7, [EZE].

And I will make the land desolate, because they havecommitted a trespass, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 15, Verse8, [EZE].

Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap.16, Verse 1, [EZE].

Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,Chap. 16, Verse 2, [EZE].

And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto Jerusalem; Thy birthand thy nativity [is] of the land of Canaan; thy father[was] an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite. Chap. 16,Verse 3, [EZE].

And [as for] thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thynavel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water tosupple [thee]; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled atall. Chap. 16, Verse 4, [EZE].

None eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, tohave compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in theopen field, to the loathing of thy person, in the day thatthou wast born. Chap. 16, Verse 5, [EZE].

And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thineown blood, I said unto thee [when thou wast] in thy blood,Live; yea, I said unto thee [when thou wast] in thy blood,Live. Chap. 16, Verse 6, [EZE].

I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field,and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art cometo excellent ornaments: [thy] breasts are fashioned, andthine hair is grown, whereas thou [wast] naked and bare.Chap. 16, Verse 7, [EZE].

Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold,thy time [was] the time of love; and I spread my skirt overthee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee,and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD,and thou becamest mine. Chap. 16, Verse 8, [EZE].

Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washedaway thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.Chap. 16, Verse 9, [EZE].

I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod theewith badgers' skin, and I girded thee about with finelinen, and I covered thee with silk. Chap. 16, Verse 10,[EZE].

I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put braceletsupon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck. Chap. 16, Verse11, [EZE].

And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thineears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head. Chap. 16,Verse 12, [EZE].

Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thyraiment [was of] fine linen, and silk, and broidered work;thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thouwast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into akingdom. Chap. 16, Verse 13, [EZE].

And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thybeauty: for it [was] perfect through my comeliness, which Ihad put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 16, Verse 14,[EZE].

But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst theharlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thyfornications on every one that passed by; his it was.Chap. 16, Verse 15, [EZE].

And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy highplaces with divers colours, and playedst the harlotthereupon: [the like things] shall not come, neither shallit be [so]. Chap. 16, Verse 16, [EZE].

Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of mysilver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyselfimages of men, and didst commit whoredom with them, Chap.16, Verse 17, [EZE].

And tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredst them:and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them.Chap. 16, Verse 18, [EZE].

My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, andhoney, [wherewith] I fed thee, thou hast even set it beforethem for a sweet savour: and [thus] it was, saith the LordGOD. Chap. 16, Verse 19, [EZE].

Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whomthou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificedunto them to be devoured. [Is this] of thy whoredoms asmall matter, Chap. 16, Verse 20, [EZE].

That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them tocause them to pass through [the fire] for them? Chap. 16,Verse 21, [EZE].

And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hastnot remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast nakedand bare, [and] wast polluted in thy blood. Chap. 16,Verse 22, [EZE].

And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, (woe, woeunto thee! saith the Lord GOD;) Chap. 16, Verse 23, [EZE].

[That] thou hast also built unto thee an eminent place,and hast made thee an high place in every street. Chap.16, Verse 24, [EZE].

Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way,and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred, and hast openedthy feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied thywhoredoms. Chap. 16, Verse 25, [EZE].

Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptiansthy neighbours, great of flesh; and hast increased thywhoredoms, to provoke me to anger. Chap. 16, Verse 26,[EZE].

Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee,and have diminished thine ordinary [food], and deliveredthee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters ofthe Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way. Chap.16, Verse 27, [EZE].

Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians,because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played theharlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied. Chap.16, Verse 28, [EZE].

Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the landof Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast not satisfiedherewith. Chap. 16, Verse 29, [EZE].

How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thoudoest all these [things], the work of an imperious whorishwoman; Chap. 16, Verse 30, [EZE].

In that thou buildest thine eminent place in the head ofevery way, and makest thine high place in every street; andhast not been as an harlot, in that thou scornest hire;Chap. 16, Verse 31, [EZE].

[But as] a wife that committeth adultery, [which] takethstrangers instead of her husband! Chap. 16, Verse 32,[EZE].

They give gifts to all whores: but thou givest thy giftsto all thy lovers, and hirest them, that they may come untothee on every side for thy whoredom. Chap. 16, Verse 33,[EZE].

And the contrary is in thee from [other] women in thywhoredoms, whereas none followeth thee to commit whoredoms:and in that thou givest a reward, and no reward is givenunto thee, therefore thou art contrary. Chap. 16, Verse34, [EZE].

Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD: Chap. 16,Verse 35, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thy filthiness was pouredout, and thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredomswith thy lovers, and with all the idols of thyabominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thoudidst give unto them; Chap. 16, Verse 36, [EZE].

Behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers, with whomthou hast taken pleasure, and all [them] that thou hastloved, with all [them] that thou hast hated; I will evengather them round about against thee, and will discover thynakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.Chap. 16, Verse 37, [EZE].

And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock andshed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in furyand jealousy. Chap. 16, Verse 38, [EZE].

And I will also give thee into their hand, and they shallthrow down thine eminent place, and shall break down thyhigh places: they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, andshall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare.Chap. 16, Verse 39, [EZE].

They shall also bring up a company against thee, and theyshall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through withtheir swords. Chap. 16, Verse 40, [EZE].

And they shall burn thine houses with fire, and executejudgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and I willcause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou alsoshalt give no hire any more. Chap. 16, Verse 41, [EZE].

So will I make my fury toward thee to rest, and myjealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, andwill be no more angry. Chap. 16, Verse 42, [EZE].

Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth,but hast fretted me in all these [things]; behold,therefore I also will recompense thy way upon [thine] head,saith the Lord GOD: and thou shalt not commit this lewdnessabove all thine abominations. Chap. 16, Verse 43, [EZE].

Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use [this]proverb against thee, saying, As [is] the mother, [so is]her daughter. Chap. 16, Verse 44, [EZE].

Thou [art] thy mother's daughter, that loatheth herhusband and her children; and thou [art] the sister of thysisters, which loathed their husbands and their children:your mother [was] an Hittite, and your father an Amorite.Chap. 16, Verse 45, [EZE].

And thine elder sister [is] Samaria, she and her daughtersthat dwell at thy left hand: and thy younger sister, thatdwelleth at thy right hand, [is] Sodom and her daughters.Chap. 16, Verse 46, [EZE].

Yet hast thou not walked after their ways, nor done aftertheir abominations: but, as [if that were] a very little[thing], thou wast corrupted more than they in all thyways. Chap. 16, Verse 47, [EZE].

[As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not

done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou andthy daughters. Chap. 16, Verse 48, [EZE].

Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride,fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her andin her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand ofthe poor and needy. Chap. 16, Verse 49, [EZE].

And they were haughty, and committed abomination beforeme: therefore I took them away as I saw [good]. Chap. 16,Verse 50, [EZE].

Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins; but thouhast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hastjustified thy sisters in all thine abominations which thouhast done. Chap. 16, Verse 51, [EZE].

Thou also, which hast judged thy sisters, bear thine ownshame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominablethan they: they are more righteous than thou: yea, be thouconfounded also, and bear thy shame, in that thou hastjustified thy sisters. Chap. 16, Verse 52, [EZE].

When I shall bring again their captivity, the captivity ofSodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria andher daughters, then [will I bring again] the captivity ofthy captives in the midst of them: Chap. 16, Verse 53,[EZE].

That thou mayest bear thine own shame, and mayest beconfounded in all that thou hast done, in that thou art acomfort unto them. Chap. 16, Verse 54, [EZE].

When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return totheir former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shallreturn to their former estate, then thou and thy daughtersshall return to your former estate. Chap. 16, Verse 55,[EZE].

For thy sister Sodom was not mentioned by thy mouth in theday of thy pride, Chap. 16, Verse 56, [EZE].

Before thy wickedness was discovered, as at the time of[thy] reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all [thatare] round about her, the daughters of the Philistines,which despise thee round about. Chap. 16, Verse 57, [EZE].

Thou hast borne thy lewdness and thine abominations, saiththe LORD. Chap. 16, Verse 58, [EZE].

For thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even deal with thee asthou hast done, which hast despised the oath in breakingthe covenant. Chap. 16, Verse 59, [EZE].

Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in thedays of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee aneverlasting covenant. Chap. 16, Verse 60, [EZE].

Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, whenthou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thyyounger: and I will give them unto thee for daughters, butnot by thy covenant. Chap. 16, Verse 61, [EZE].

And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shaltknow that I [am] the LORD: Chap. 16, Verse 62, [EZE].

That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and neveropen thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I ampacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith theLord GOD. Chap. 16, Verse 63, [EZE].

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap. 17,Verse 1, [EZE].

Son of man, put forth a riddle, and speak a parable untothe house of Israel; Chap. 17, Verse 2, [EZE].

And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; A great eagle with greatwings, longwinged, full of feathers, which had diverscolours, came unto Lebanon, and took the highest branch ofthe cedar: Chap. 17, Verse 3, [EZE].

He cropped off the top of his young twigs, and carried itinto a land of traffic; he set it in a city of merchants.Chap. 17, Verse 4, [EZE].

He took also of the seed of the land, and planted it in afruitful field; he placed [it] by great waters, [and] setit [as] a willow tree. Chap. 17, Verse 5, [EZE].

And it grew, and became a spreading vine of low stature,whose branches turned toward him, and the roots thereofwere under him: so it became a vine, and brought forthbranches, and shot forth sprigs. Chap. 17, Verse 6, [EZE].

There was also another great eagle with great wings andmany feathers: and, behold, this vine did bend her rootstoward him, and shot forth her branches toward him, that hemight water it by the furrows of her plantation. Chap. 17,Verse 7, [EZE].

It was planted in a good soil by great waters, that itmight bring forth branches, and that it might bear fruit,that it might be a goodly vine. Chap. 17, Verse 8, [EZE].

Say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Shall it prosper? shallhe not pull up the roots thereof, and cut off the fruitthereof, that it wither? it shall wither in all the leavesof her spring, even without great power or many people topluck it up by the roots thereof. Chap. 17, Verse 9,[EZE].

Yea, behold, [being] planted, shall it prosper? shall itnot utterly wither, when the east wind toucheth it? itshall wither in the furrows where it grew. Chap. 17, Verse10, [EZE].

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap.17, Verse 11, [EZE].

Say now to the rebellious house, Know ye not what these[things mean]? tell [them], Behold, the king of Babylon iscome to Jerusalem, and hath taken the king thereof, and theprinces thereof, and led them with him to Babylon; Chap.17, Verse 12, [EZE].

And hath taken of the king's seed, and made a covenantwith him, and hath taken an oath of him: he hath also takenthe mighty of the land: Chap. 17, Verse 13, [EZE].

That the kingdom might be base, that it might not liftitself up, [but] that by keeping of his covenant it mightstand. Chap. 17, Verse 14, [EZE].

But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadorsinto Egypt, that they might give him horses and muchpeople. Shall he prosper? shall he escape that doeth such[things]? or shall he break the covenant, and be delivered?Chap. 17, Verse 15, [EZE].

[As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely in the place

[where] the king [dwelleth] that made him king, whose oathhe despised, and whose covenant he brake, [even] with himin the midst of Babylon he shall die. Chap. 17, Verse 16,[EZE].

Neither shall Pharaoh with [his] mighty army and greatcompany make for him in the war, by casting up mounts, andbuilding forts, to cut off many persons: Chap. 17, Verse17, [EZE].

Seeing he despised the oath by breaking the covenant,when, lo, he had given his hand, and hath done all these[things], he shall not escape. Chap. 17, Verse 18, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; [As] I live, surelymine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that hehath broken, even it will I recompense upon his own head.Chap. 17, Verse 19, [EZE].

And I will spread my net upon him, and he shall be takenin my snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, and willplead with him there for his trespass that he hathtrespassed against me. Chap. 17, Verse 20, [EZE].

And all his fugitives with all his bands shall fall by thesword, and they that remain shall be scattered toward allwinds: and ye shall know that I the LORD have spoken [it].Chap. 17, Verse 21, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also take of the highestbranch of the high cedar, and will set [it]; I will cropoff from the top of his young twigs a tender one, and willplant [it] upon an high mountain and eminent: Chap. 17,Verse 22, [EZE].

In the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it:and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be agoodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of everywing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall theydwell. Chap. 17, Verse 23, [EZE].

And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORDhave brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree,have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree toflourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done [it]. Chap.17, Verse 24, [EZE].

The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying, Chap.18, Verse 1, [EZE].

What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the landof Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, andthe children's teeth are set on edge? Chap. 18, Verse 2,[EZE].

[As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, ye shall not have[occasion] any more to use this proverb in Israel. Chap.18, Verse 3, [EZE].

Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, soalso the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, itshall die. Chap. 18, Verse 4, [EZE].

But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful andright, Chap. 18, Verse 5, [EZE].

[And] hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hathlifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel,neither hath defiled his neighbour's wife, neither hathcome near to a menstruous woman, Chap. 18, Verse 6, [EZE].

And hath not oppressed any, [but] hath restored to thedebtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hathgiven his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the nakedwith a garment; Chap. 18, Verse 7, [EZE].

He [that] hath not given forth upon usury, neither hathtaken any increase, [that] hath withdrawn his hand frominiquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man,Chap. 18, Verse 8, [EZE].

Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, todeal truly; he [is] just, he shall surely live, saith theLord GOD. Chap. 18, Verse 9, [EZE].

If he beget a son [that is] a robber, a shedder of blood,and [that] doeth the like to [any] one of these [things],Chap. 18, Verse 10, [EZE].

And that doeth not any of those [duties], but even hatheaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbour's wife,Chap. 18, Verse 11, [EZE].

Hath oppressed the poor and needy, hath spoiled by

violence, hath not restored the pledge, and hath lifted uphis eyes to the idols, hath committed abomination, Chap.18, Verse 12, [EZE].

Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase:shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done allthese abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall beupon him. Chap. 18, Verse 13, [EZE].

Now, lo, [if] he beget a son, that seeth all his father'ssins which he hath done, and considereth, and doeth notsuch like, Chap. 18, Verse 14, [EZE].

[That] hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hathlifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel,hath not defiled his neighbour's wife, Chap. 18, Verse 15,[EZE].

Neither hath oppressed any, hath not withholden thepledge, neither hath spoiled by violence, [but] hath givenhis bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with agarment, Chap. 18, Verse 16, [EZE].

[That] hath taken off his hand from the poor, [that] hathnot received usury nor increase, hath executed myjudgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall not die forthe iniquity of his father, he shall surely live. Chap.18, Verse 17, [EZE].

[As for] his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiledhis brother by violence, and did [that] which [is] not goodamong his people, lo, even he shall die in his iniquity.Chap. 18, Verse 18, [EZE].

Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of thefather? When the son hath done that which is lawful andright, [and] hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them,he shall surely live. Chap. 18, Verse 19, [EZE].

The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall notbear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the fatherbear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of therighteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of thewicked shall be upon him. Chap. 18, Verse 20, [EZE].

But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hathcommitted, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is

lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.Chap. 18, Verse 21, [EZE].

All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shallnot be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that hehath done he shall live. Chap. 18, Verse 22, [EZE].

Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?saith the Lord GOD: [and] not that he should return fromhis ways, and live? Chap. 18, Verse 23, [EZE].

But when the righteous turneth away from hisrighteousness, and committeth iniquity, [and] doethaccording to all the abominations that the wicked [man]doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hathdone shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hathtrespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in themshall he die. Chap. 18, Verse 24, [EZE].

Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, Ohouse of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your waysunequal? Chap. 18, Verse 25, [EZE].

When a righteous [man] turneth away from hisrighteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them;for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. Chap. 18,Verse 26, [EZE].

Again, when the wicked [man] turneth away from hiswickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which islawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. Chap. 18,Verse 27, [EZE].

Because he considereth, and turneth away from all histransgressions that he hath committed, he shall surelylive, he shall not die. Chap. 18, Verse 28, [EZE].

Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is notequal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are notyour ways unequal? Chap. 18, Verse 29, [EZE].

Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every oneaccording to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn[yourselves] from all your transgressions; so iniquityshall not be your ruin. Chap. 18, Verse 30, [EZE].

Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye

have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a newspirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel? Chap. 18,Verse 31, [EZE].

For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth,saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn [yourselves], and liveye. Chap. 18, Verse 32, [EZE].

Moreover take thou up a lamentation for the princes ofIsrael, Chap. 19, Verse 1, [EZE].

And say, What [is] thy mother? A lioness: she lay downamong lions, she nourished her whelps among young lions.Chap. 19, Verse 2, [EZE].

And she brought up one of her whelps: it became a younglion, and it learned to catch the prey; it devoured men.Chap. 19, Verse 3, [EZE].

The nations also heard of him; he was taken in their pit,and they brought him with chains unto the land of Egypt.Chap. 19, Verse 4, [EZE].

Now when she saw that she had waited, [and] her hope waslost, then she took another of her whelps, [and] made him ayoung lion. Chap. 19, Verse 5, [EZE].

And he went up and down among the lions, he became a younglion, and learned to catch the prey, [and] devoured men.Chap. 19, Verse 6, [EZE].

And he knew their desolate palaces, and he laid wastetheir cities; and the land was desolate, and the fulnessthereof, by the noise of his roaring. Chap. 19, Verse 7,[EZE].

Then the nations set against him on every side from theprovinces, and spread their net over him: he was taken intheir pit. Chap. 19, Verse 8, [EZE].

And they put him in ward in chains, and brought him to theking of Babylon: they brought him into holds, that hisvoice should no more be heard upon the mountains of Israel.Chap. 19, Verse 9, [EZE].

Thy mother [is] like a vine in thy blood, planted by thewaters: she was fruitful and full of branches by reason of

many waters. Chap. 19, Verse 10, [EZE].

And she had strong rods for the sceptres of them that barerule, and her stature was exalted among the thick branches,and she appeared in her height with the multitude of herbranches. Chap. 19, Verse 11, [EZE].

But she was plucked up in fury, she was cast down to theground, and the east wind dried up her fruit: her strongrods were broken and withered; the fire consumed them.Chap. 19, Verse 12, [EZE].

And now she [is] planted in the wilderness, in a dry andthirsty ground. Chap. 19, Verse 13, [EZE].

And fire is gone out of a rod of her branches, [which]hath devoured her fruit, so that she hath no strong rod [tobe] a sceptre to rule. This [is] a lamentation, and shallbe for a lamentation. Chap. 19, Verse 14, [EZE].

And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth[month], the tenth [day] of the month, [that] certain ofthe elders of Israel came to inquire of the LORD, and satbefore me. Chap. 20, Verse 1, [EZE].

Then came the word of the LORD unto me, saying, Chap. 20,Verse 2, [EZE].

Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say untothem, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye come to inquire ofme? [As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be inquiredof by you. Chap. 20, Verse 3, [EZE].

Wilt thou judge them, son of man, wilt thou judge [them]?cause them to know the abominations of their fathers:Chap. 20, Verse 4, [EZE].

And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the daywhen I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seedof the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them inthe land of Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them,saying, I [am] the LORD your God; Chap. 20, Verse 5,[EZE].

In the day [that] I lifted up mine hand unto them, tobring them forth of the land of Egypt into a land that Ihad espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which

[is] the glory of all lands: Chap. 20, Verse 6, [EZE].

Then said I unto them, Cast ye away every man theabominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves withthe idols of Egypt: I [am] the LORD your God. Chap. 20,Verse 7, [EZE].

But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken untome: they did not every man cast away the abominations oftheir eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt:then I said, I will pour out my fury upon them, toaccomplish my anger against them in the midst of the landof Egypt. Chap. 20, Verse 8, [EZE].

But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not bepolluted before the heathen, among whom they [were], inwhose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing themforth out of the land of Egypt. Chap. 20, Verse 9, [EZE].

Wherefore I caused them to go forth out of the land ofEgypt, and brought them into the wilderness. Chap. 20,Verse 10, [EZE].

And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments,which [if] a man do, he shall even live in them. Chap. 20,Verse 11, [EZE].

Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a signbetween me and them, that they might know that I [am] theLORD that sanctify them. Chap. 20, Verse 12, [EZE].

But the house of Israel rebelled against me in thewilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and theydespised my judgments, which [if] a man do, he shall evenlive in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then Isaid, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness,to consume them. Chap. 20, Verse 13, [EZE].

But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not bepolluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought themout. Chap. 20, Verse 14, [EZE].

Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness,that I would not bring them into the land which I had given[them], flowing with milk and honey, which [is] the gloryof all lands; Chap. 20, Verse 15, [EZE].

Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in mystatutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart wentafter their idols. Chap. 20, Verse 16, [EZE].

Nevertheless mine eye spared them from destroying them,neither did I make an end of them in the wilderness. Chap.20, Verse 17, [EZE].

But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk yenot in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe theirjudgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols: Chap.20, Verse 18, [EZE].

I [am] the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep myjudgments, and do them; Chap. 20, Verse 19, [EZE].

And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign betweenme and you, that ye may know that I [am] the LORD your God.Chap. 20, Verse 20, [EZE].

Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: theywalked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to dothem, which [if] a man do, he shall even live in them; theypolluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my furyupon them, to accomplish my anger against them in thewilderness. Chap. 20, Verse 21, [EZE].

Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for myname's sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight ofthe heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth. Chap.20, Verse 22, [EZE].

I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness,that I would scatter them among the heathen, and dispersethem through the countries; Chap. 20, Verse 23, [EZE].

Because they had not executed my judgments, but haddespised my statutes, and had polluted my sabbaths, andtheir eyes were after their fathers' idols. Chap. 20,Verse 24, [EZE].

Wherefore I gave them also statutes [that were] not good,and judgments whereby they should not live; Chap. 20,Verse 25, [EZE].

And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that theycaused to pass through [the fire] all that openeth the

womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that theymight know that I [am] the LORD. Chap. 20, Verse 26,[EZE].

Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, andsay unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Yet in this yourfathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed atrespass against me. Chap. 20, Verse 27, [EZE].

[For] when I had brought them into the land, [for] thewhich I lifted up mine hand to give it to them, then theysaw every high hill, and all the thick trees, and theyoffered there their sacrifices, and there they presentedthe provocation of their offering: there also they madetheir sweet savour, and poured out there their drinkofferings. Chap. 20, Verse 28, [EZE].

Then I said unto them, What [is] the high place whereuntoye go? And the name thereof is called Bamah unto this day.Chap. 20, Verse 29, [EZE].

Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith theLord GOD; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers?and commit ye whoredom after their abominations? Chap. 20,Verse 30, [EZE].

For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons topass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all youridols, even unto this day: and shall I be inquired of byyou, O house of Israel? [As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, Iwill not be inquired of by you. Chap. 20, Verse 31, [EZE].

And that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all,that ye say, We will be as the heathen, as the families ofthe countries, to serve wood and stone. Chap. 20, Verse32, [EZE].

[As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mightyhand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury pouredout, will I rule over you: Chap. 20, Verse 33, [EZE].

And I will bring you out from the people, and will gatheryou out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with amighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with furypoured out. Chap. 20, Verse 34, [EZE].

And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people,

and there will I plead with you face to face. Chap. 20,Verse 35, [EZE].

Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness ofthe land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the LordGOD. Chap. 20, Verse 36, [EZE].

And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I willbring you into the bond of the covenant: Chap. 20, Verse37, [EZE].

And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and themthat transgress against me: I will bring them forth out ofthe country where they sojourn, and they shall not enterinto the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I [am] theLORD. Chap. 20, Verse 38, [EZE].

As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD; Goye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter [also], ifye will not hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name nomore with your gifts, and with your idols. Chap. 20, Verse39, [EZE].

For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the heightof Israel, saith the Lord GOD, there shall all the house ofIsrael, all of them in the land, serve me: there will Iaccept them, and there will I require your offerings, andthe firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holythings. Chap. 20, Verse 40, [EZE].

I will accept you with your sweet savour, when I bring youout from the people, and gather you out of the countrieswherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified inyou before the heathen. Chap. 20, Verse 41, [EZE].

And ye shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I shall bringyou into the land of Israel, into the country [for] thewhich I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers.Chap. 20, Verse 42, [EZE].

And there shall ye remember your ways, and all yourdoings, wherein ye have been defiled; and ye shall loatheyourselves in your own sight for all your evils that yehave committed. Chap. 20, Verse 43, [EZE].

And ye shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I havewrought with you for my name's sake, not according to your

wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O yehouse of Israel, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 20, Verse 44,[EZE].

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap.20, Verse 45, [EZE].

Son of man, set thy face toward the south, and drop [thyword] toward the south, and prophesy against the forest ofthe south field; Chap. 20, Verse 46, [EZE].

And say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of theLORD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will kindle a firein thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, andevery dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched,and all faces from the south to the north shall be burnedtherein. Chap. 20, Verse 47, [EZE].

And all flesh shall see that I the LORD have kindled it:it shall not be quenched. Chap. 20, Verse 48, [EZE].

Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Doth he notspeak parables? Chap. 20, Verse 49, [EZE].

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap. 21,Verse 1, [EZE].

Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop [thyword] toward the holy places, and prophesy against the landof Israel, Chap. 21, Verse 2, [EZE].

And say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the LORD;Behold, I [am] against thee, and will draw forth my swordout of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteousand the wicked. Chap. 21, Verse 3, [EZE].

Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteousand the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out ofhis sheath against all flesh from the south to the north:Chap. 21, Verse 4, [EZE].

That all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forthmy sword out of his sheath: it shall not return any more.Chap. 21, Verse 5, [EZE].

Sigh therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of[thy] loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes.

Chap. 21, Verse 6, [EZE].

And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Whereforesighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings;because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and allhands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, andall knees shall be weak [as] water: behold, it cometh, andshall be brought to pass, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 21,Verse 7, [EZE].

Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap.21, Verse 8, [EZE].

Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD; Say, Asword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished: Chap. 21,Verse 9, [EZE].

It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is furbishedthat it may glitter: should we then make mirth? itcontemneth the rod of my son, [as] every tree. Chap. 21,Verse 10, [EZE].

And he hath given it to be furbished, that it may behandled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, togive it into the hand of the slayer. Chap. 21, Verse 11,[EZE].

Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon my people,it [shall be] upon all the princes of Israel: terrors byreason of the sword shall be upon my people: smitetherefore upon [thy] thigh. Chap. 21, Verse 12, [EZE].

Because [it is] a trial, and what if [the sword] contemneven the rod? it shall be no [more], saith the Lord GOD.Chap. 21, Verse 13, [EZE].

Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite [thine]hands together, and let the sword be doubled the thirdtime, the sword of the slain: it [is] the sword of thegreat [men that are] slain, which entereth into their privychambers. Chap. 21, Verse 14, [EZE].

I have set the point of the sword against all their gates,that [their] heart may faint, and [their] ruins bemultiplied: ah! [it is] made bright, [it is] wrapped up forthe slaughter. Chap. 21, Verse 15, [EZE].

Go thee one way or other, [either] on the right hand, [or]on the left, whithersoever thy face [is] set. Chap. 21,Verse 16, [EZE].

I will also smite mine hands together, and I will cause myfury to rest: I the LORD have said [it]. Chap. 21, Verse17, [EZE].

The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying, Chap.21, Verse 18, [EZE].

Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that thesword of the king of Babylon may come: both twain shallcome forth out of one land: and choose thou a place, choose[it] at the head of the way to the city. Chap. 21, Verse19, [EZE].

Appoint a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of theAmmonites, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced. Chap.21, Verse 20, [EZE].

For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way,at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made[his] arrows bright, he consulted with images, he looked inthe liver. Chap. 21, Verse 21, [EZE].

At his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, toappoint captains, to open the mouth in the slaughter, tolift up the voice with shouting, to appoint [battering]rams against the gates, to cast a mount, [and] to build afort. Chap. 21, Verse 22, [EZE].

And it shall be unto them as a false divination in theirsight, to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call toremembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken. Chap.21, Verse 23, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have madeyour iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressionsare discovered, so that in all your doings your sins doappear; because, [I say], that ye are come to remembrance,ye shall be taken with the hand. Chap. 21, Verse 24,[EZE].

And thou, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day iscome, when iniquity [shall have] an end, Chap. 21, Verse25, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take offthe crown: this [shall] not [be] the same: exalt [him thatis] low, and abase [him that is] high. Chap. 21, Verse 26,[EZE].

I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall beno [more], until he come whose right it is; and I will giveit [him]. Chap. 21, Verse 27, [EZE].

And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith theLord GOD concerning the Ammonites, and concerning theirreproach; even say thou, The sword, the sword [is] drawn:for the slaughter [it is] furbished, to consume because ofthe glittering: Chap. 21, Verse 28, [EZE].

Whiles they see vanity unto thee, whiles they divine a lieunto thee, to bring thee upon the necks of [them that are]slain, of the wicked, whose day is come, when theiriniquity [shall have] an end. Chap. 21, Verse 29, [EZE].

Shall I cause [it] to return into his sheath? I will judgethee in the place where thou wast created, in the land ofthy nativity. Chap. 21, Verse 30, [EZE].

And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I willblow against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver theeinto the hand of brutish men, [and] skilful to destroy.Chap. 21, Verse 31, [EZE].

Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be inthe midst of the land; thou shalt be no [more] remembered:for I the LORD have spoken [it]. Chap. 21, Verse 32,[EZE].

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap.22, Verse 1, [EZE].

Now, thou son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge thebloody city? yea, thou shalt shew her all her abominations.Chap. 22, Verse 2, [EZE].

Then say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD, The city sheddethblood in the midst of it, that her time may come, andmaketh idols against herself to defile herself. Chap. 22,Verse 3, [EZE].

Thou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed;and hast defiled thyself in thine idols which thou hastmade; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and artcome [even] unto thy years: therefore have I made thee areproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries.Chap. 22, Verse 4, [EZE].

[Those that be] near, and [those that be] far from thee,shall mock thee, [which art] infamous [and] much vexed.Chap. 22, Verse 5, [EZE].

Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee totheir power to shed blood. Chap. 22, Verse 6, [EZE].

In thee have they set light by father and mother: in themidst of thee have they dealt by oppression with thestranger: in thee have they vexed the fatherless and thewidow. Chap. 22, Verse 7, [EZE].

Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned mysabbaths. Chap. 22, Verse 8, [EZE].

In thee are men that carry tales to shed blood: and inthee they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of thee theycommit lewdness. Chap. 22, Verse 9, [EZE].

In thee have they discovered their fathers' nakedness: inthee have they humbled her that was set apart forpollution. Chap. 22, Verse 10, [EZE].

And one hath committed abomination with his neighbour'swife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter in law;and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father'sdaughter. Chap. 22, Verse 11, [EZE].

In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hasttaken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained ofthy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saiththe Lord GOD. Chap. 22, Verse 12, [EZE].

Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thydishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood whichhath been in the midst of thee. Chap. 22, Verse 13, [EZE].

Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, inthe days that I shall deal with thee? I the LORD havespoken [it], and will do [it]. Chap. 22, Verse 14, [EZE].

And I will scatter thee among the heathen, and dispersethee in the countries, and will consume thy filthiness outof thee. Chap. 22, Verse 15, [EZE].

And thou shalt take thine inheritance in thyself in thesight of the heathen, and thou shalt know that I [am] theLORD. Chap. 22, Verse 16, [EZE].

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap. 22,Verse 17, [EZE].

Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: allthey [are] brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midstof the furnace; they are [even] the dross of silver. Chap.22, Verse 18, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye are allbecome dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into themidst of Jerusalem. Chap. 22, Verse 19, [EZE].

[As] they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead,and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fireupon it, to melt [it]; so will I gather [you] in mine angerand in my fury, and I will leave [you there], and melt you.Chap. 22, Verse 20, [EZE].

Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire ofmy wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof.Chap. 22, Verse 21, [EZE].

As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shallye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that Ithe LORD have poured out my fury upon you. Chap. 22, Verse22, [EZE].

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap. 22,Verse 23, [EZE].

Son of man, say unto her, Thou [art] the land that is notcleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation. Chap.22, Verse 24, [EZE].

[There is] a conspiracy of her prophets in the midstthereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they havedevoured souls; they have taken the treasure and preciousthings; they have made her many widows in the midst

thereof. Chap. 22, Verse 25, [EZE].

Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mineholy things: they have put no difference between the holyand profane, neither have they shewed [difference] betweenthe unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from mysabbaths, and I am profaned among them. Chap. 22, Verse26, [EZE].

Her princes in the midst thereof [are] like wolvesravening the prey, to shed blood, [and] to destroy souls,to get dishonest gain. Chap. 22, Verse 27, [EZE].

And her prophets have daubed them with untempered[mortar], seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them,saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath notspoken. Chap. 22, Verse 28, [EZE].

The people of the land have used oppression, and exercisedrobbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they haveoppressed the stranger wrongfully. Chap. 22, Verse 29,[EZE].

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up thehedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that Ishould not destroy it: but I found none. Chap. 22, Verse30, [EZE].

Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; Ihave consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own wayhave I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.Chap. 22, Verse 31, [EZE].

The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, Chap.23, Verse 1, [EZE].

Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of onemother: Chap. 23, Verse 2, [EZE].

And they committed whoredoms in Egypt; they committedwhoredoms in their youth: there were their breasts pressed,and there they bruised the teats of their virginity. Chap.23, Verse 3, [EZE].

And the names of them [were] Aholah the elder, andAholibah her sister: and they were mine, and they bare sonsand daughters. Thus [were] their names; Samaria [is]

Aholah, and Jerusalem Aholibah. Chap. 23, Verse 4, [EZE].

And Aholah played the harlot when she was mine; and shedoted on her lovers, on the Assyrians [her] neighbours,Chap. 23, Verse 5, [EZE].

[Which were] clothed with blue, captains and rulers, allof them desirable young men, horsemen riding upon horses.Chap. 23, Verse 6, [EZE].

Thus she committed her whoredoms with them, with all them[that were] the chosen men of Assyria, and with all on whomshe doted: with all their idols she defiled herself. Chap.23, Verse 7, [EZE].

Neither left she her whoredoms [brought] from Egypt: forin her youth they lay with her, and they bruised thebreasts of her virginity, and poured their whoredom uponher. Chap. 23, Verse 8, [EZE].

Wherefore I have delivered her into the hand of herlovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, upon whom shedoted. Chap. 23, Verse 9, [EZE].

These discovered her nakedness: they took her sons and herdaughters, and slew her with the sword: and she becamefamous among women; for they had executed judgment uponher. Chap. 23, Verse 10, [EZE].

And when her sister Aholibah saw [this], she was morecorrupt in her inordinate love than she, and in herwhoredoms more than her sister in [her] whoredoms. Chap.23, Verse 11, [EZE].

She doted upon the Assyrians [her] neighbours, captainsand rulers clothed most gorgeously, horsemen riding uponhorses, all of them desirable young men. Chap. 23, Verse12, [EZE].

Then I saw that she was defiled, [that] they [took] bothone way, Chap. 23, Verse 13, [EZE].

And [that] she increased her whoredoms: for when she sawmen portrayed upon the wall, the images of the Chaldeansportrayed with vermilion, Chap. 23, Verse 14, [EZE].

Girded with girdles upon their loins, exceeding in dyed

attire upon their heads, all of them princes to look to,after the manner of the Babylonians of Chaldea, the land oftheir nativity: Chap. 23, Verse 15, [EZE].

And as soon as she saw them with her eyes, she doted uponthem, and sent messengers unto them into Chaldea. Chap.23, Verse 16, [EZE].

And the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, andthey defiled her with their whoredom, and she was pollutedwith them, and her mind was alienated from them. Chap. 23,Verse 17, [EZE].

So she discovered her whoredoms, and discovered hernakedness: then my mind was alienated from her, like as mymind was alienated from her sister. Chap. 23, Verse 18,[EZE].

Yet she multiplied her whoredoms, in calling toremembrance the days of her youth, wherein she had playedthe harlot in the land of Egypt. Chap. 23, Verse 19,[EZE].

For she doted upon their paramours, whose flesh [is as]the flesh of asses, and whose issue [is like] the issue ofhorses. Chap. 23, Verse 20, [EZE].

Thus thou calledst to remembrance the lewdness of thyyouth, in bruising thy teats by the Egyptians for the papsof thy youth. Chap. 23, Verse 21, [EZE].

Therefore, O Aholibah, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, Iwill raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy mindis alienated, and I will bring them against thee on everyside; Chap. 23, Verse 22, [EZE].

The Babylonians, and all the Chaldeans, Pekod, and Shoa,and Koa, [and] all the Assyrians with them: all of themdesirable young men, captains and rulers, great lords andrenowned, all of them riding upon horses. Chap. 23, Verse23, [EZE].

And they shall come against thee with chariots, wagons,and wheels, and with an assembly of people, [which] shallset against thee buckler and shield and helmet round about:and I will set judgment before them, and they shall judgethee according to their judgments. Chap. 23, Verse 24,

[EZE].

And I will set my jealousy against thee, and they shalldeal furiously with thee: they shall take away thy nose andthine ears; and thy remnant shall fall by the sword: theyshall take thy sons and thy daughters; and thy residueshall be devoured by the fire. Chap. 23, Verse 25, [EZE].

They shall also strip thee out of thy clothes, and takeaway thy fair jewels. Chap. 23, Verse 26, [EZE].

Thus will I make thy lewdness to cease from thee, and thywhoredom [brought] from the land of Egypt: so that thoushalt not lift up thine eyes unto them, nor remember Egyptany more. Chap. 23, Verse 27, [EZE].

For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will deliver theeinto the hand [of them] whom thou hatest, into the hand [ofthem] from whom thy mind is alienated: Chap. 23, Verse 28,[EZE].

And they shall deal with thee hatefully, and shall takeaway all thy labour, and shall leave thee naked and bare:and the nakedness of thy whoredoms shall be discovered,both thy lewdness and thy whoredoms. Chap. 23, Verse 29,[EZE].

I will do these [things] unto thee, because thou hast gonea whoring after the heathen, [and] because thou artpolluted with their idols. Chap. 23, Verse 30, [EZE].

Thou hast walked in the way of thy sister; therefore willI give her cup into thine hand. Chap. 23, Verse 31, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou shalt drink of thy sister'scup deep and large: thou shalt be laughed to scorn and hadin derision; it containeth much. Chap. 23, Verse 32,[EZE].

Thou shalt be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with thecup of astonishment and desolation, with the cup of thysister Samaria. Chap. 23, Verse 33, [EZE].

Thou shalt even drink it and suck [it] out, and thou shaltbreak the sherds thereof, and pluck off thine own breasts:for I have spoken [it], saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 23,Verse 34, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hastforgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore bearthou also thy lewdness and thy whoredoms. Chap. 23, Verse35, [EZE].

The LORD said moreover unto me; Son of man, wilt thoujudge Aholah and Aholibah? yea, declare unto them theirabominations; Chap. 23, Verse 36, [EZE].

That they have committed adultery, and blood [is] in theirhands, and with their idols have they committed adultery,and have also caused their sons, whom they bare unto me, topass for them through [the fire], to devour [them]. Chap.23, Verse 37, [EZE].

Moreover this they have done unto me: they have defiled mysanctuary in the same day, and have profaned my sabbaths.Chap. 23, Verse 38, [EZE].

For when they had slain their children to their idols,then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profaneit; and, lo, thus have they done in the midst of minehouse. Chap. 23, Verse 39, [EZE].

And furthermore, that ye have sent for men to come fromfar, unto whom a messenger [was] sent; and, lo, they came:for whom thou didst wash thyself, paintedst thy eyes, anddeckedst thyself with ornaments, Chap. 23, Verse 40,[EZE].

And satest upon a stately bed, and a table prepared beforeit, whereupon thou hast set mine incense and mine oil.Chap. 23, Verse 41, [EZE].

And a voice of a multitude being at ease [was] with her:and with the men of the common sort [were] brought Sabeansfrom the wilderness, which put bracelets upon their hands,and beautiful crowns upon their heads. Chap. 23, Verse 42,[EZE].

Then said I unto [her that was] old in adulteries, Willthey now commit whoredoms with her, and she [with them]?Chap. 23, Verse 43, [EZE].

Yet they went in unto her, as they go in unto a woman thatplayeth the harlot: so went they in unto Aholah and unto

Aholibah, the lewd women. Chap. 23, Verse 44, [EZE].

And the righteous men, they shall judge them after themanner of adulteresses, and after the manner of women thatshed blood; because they [are] adulteresses, and blood [is]in their hands. Chap. 23, Verse 45, [EZE].

For thus saith the Lord GOD; I will bring up a companyupon them, and will give them to be removed and spoiled.Chap. 23, Verse 46, [EZE].

And the company shall stone them with stones, and dispatchthem with their swords; they shall slay their sons andtheir daughters, and burn up their houses with fire. Chap.23, Verse 47, [EZE].

Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, thatall women may be taught not to do after your lewdness.Chap. 23, Verse 48, [EZE].

And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and yeshall bear the sins of your idols: and ye shall know that I[am] the Lord GOD. Chap. 23, Verse 49, [EZE].

Again in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth[day] of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me,saying, Chap. 24, Verse 1, [EZE].

Son of man, write thee the name of the day, [even] of thissame day: the king of Babylon set himself against Jerusalemthis same day. Chap. 24, Verse 2, [EZE].

And utter a parable unto the rebellious house, and sayunto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Set on a pot, set [it]on, and also pour water into it: Chap. 24, Verse 3, [EZE].

Gather the pieces thereof into it, [even] every goodpiece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill [it] with thechoice bones. Chap. 24, Verse 4, [EZE].

Take the choice of the flock, and burn also the bonesunder it, [and] make it boil well, and let them seethe thebones of it therein. Chap. 24, Verse 5, [EZE].

Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city,to the pot whose scum [is] therein, and whose scum is notgone out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot

fall upon it. Chap. 24, Verse 6, [EZE].

For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it upon thetop of a rock; she poured it not upon the ground, to coverit with dust; Chap. 24, Verse 7, [EZE].

That it might cause fury to come up to take vengeance; Ihave set her blood upon the top of a rock, that it shouldnot be covered. Chap. 24, Verse 8, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city!I will even make the pile for fire great. Chap. 24, Verse9, [EZE].

Heap on wood, kindle the fire, consume the flesh, andspice it well, and let the bones be burned. Chap. 24,Verse 10, [EZE].

Then set it empty upon the coals thereof, that the brassof it may be hot, and may burn, and [that] the filthinessof it may be molten in it, [that] the scum of it may beconsumed. Chap. 24, Verse 11, [EZE].

She hath wearied [herself] with lies, and her great scumwent not forth out of her: her scum [shall be] in the fire.Chap. 24, Verse 12, [EZE].

In thy filthiness [is] lewdness: because I have purgedthee, and thou wast not purged, thou shalt not be purgedfrom thy filthiness any more, till I have caused my fury torest upon thee. Chap. 24, Verse 13, [EZE].

I the LORD have spoken [it]: it shall come to pass, and Iwill do [it]; I will not go back, neither will I spare,neither will I repent; according to thy ways, and accordingto thy doings, shall they judge thee, saith the Lord GOD.Chap. 24, Verse 14, [EZE].

Also the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap. 24,Verse 15, [EZE].

Son of man, behold, I take away from thee the desire ofthine eyes with a stroke: yet neither shalt thou mourn norweep, neither shall thy tears run down. Chap. 24, Verse16, [EZE].

Forbear to cry, make no mourning for the dead, bind the

tire of thine head upon thee, and put on thy shoes upon thyfeet, and cover not [thy] lips, and eat not the bread ofmen. Chap. 24, Verse 17, [EZE].

So I spake unto the people in the morning: and at even mywife died; and I did in the morning as I was commanded.Chap. 24, Verse 18, [EZE].

And the people said unto me, Wilt thou not tell us whatthese [things are] to us, that thou doest [so]? Chap. 24,Verse 19, [EZE].

Then I answered them, The word of the LORD came unto me,saying, Chap. 24, Verse 20, [EZE].

Speak unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD;Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the excellency of yourstrength, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soulpitieth; and your sons and your daughters whom ye have leftshall fall by the sword. Chap. 24, Verse 21, [EZE].

And ye shall do as I have done: ye shall not cover [your]lips, nor eat the bread of men. Chap. 24, Verse 22, [EZE].

And your tires [shall be] upon your heads, and your shoesupon your feet: ye shall not mourn nor weep; but ye shallpine away for your iniquities, and mourn one towardanother. Chap. 24, Verse 23, [EZE].

Thus Ezekiel is unto you a sign: according to all that hehath done shall ye do: and when this cometh, ye shall knowthat I [am] the Lord GOD. Chap. 24, Verse 24, [EZE].

Also, thou son of man, [shall it] not [be] in the day whenI take from them their strength, the joy of their glory,the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set theirminds, their sons and their daughters, Chap. 24, Verse 25,[EZE].

[That] he that escapeth in that day shall come unto thee,to cause [thee] to hear [it] with [thine] ears? Chap. 24,Verse 26, [EZE].

In that day shall thy mouth be opened to him which isescaped, and thou shalt speak, and be no more dumb: andthou shalt be a sign unto them; and they shall know that I[am] the LORD. Chap. 24, Verse 27, [EZE].

The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, Chap.25, Verse 1, [EZE].

Son of man, set thy face against the Ammonites, andprophesy against them; Chap. 25, Verse 2, [EZE].

And say unto the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD;Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou saidst, Aha, againstmy sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land ofIsrael, when it was desolate; and against the house ofJudah, when they went into captivity; Chap. 25, Verse 3,[EZE].

Behold, therefore I will deliver thee to the men of theeast for a possession, and they shall set their palaces inthee, and make their dwellings in thee: they shall eat thyfruit, and they shall drink thy milk. Chap. 25, Verse 4,[EZE].

And I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and theAmmonites a couchingplace for flocks: and ye shall knowthat I [am] the LORD. Chap. 25, Verse 5, [EZE].

For thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast clapped[thine] hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced inheart with all thy despite against the land of Israel;Chap. 25, Verse 6, [EZE].

Behold, therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon thee,and will deliver thee for a spoil to the heathen; and Iwill cut thee off from the people, and I will cause thee toperish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thoushalt know that I [am] the LORD. Chap. 25, Verse 7, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Moab and Seir dosay, Behold, the house of Judah [is] like unto all theheathen; Chap. 25, Verse 8, [EZE].

Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from thecities, from his cities [which are] on his frontiers, theglory of the country, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, andKiriathaim, Chap. 25, Verse 9, [EZE].

Unto the men of the east with the Ammonites, and will givethem in possession, that the Ammonites may not beremembered among the nations. Chap. 25, Verse 10, [EZE].

And I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they shallknow that I [am] the LORD. Chap. 25, Verse 11, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Edom hath dealtagainst the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hathgreatly offended, and revenged himself upon them; Chap.25, Verse 12, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also stretch outmine hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast fromit; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and they ofDedan shall fall by the sword. Chap. 25, Verse 13, [EZE].

And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of mypeople Israel: and they shall do in Edom according to mineanger and according to my fury; and they shall know myvengeance, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 25, Verse 14, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the Philistines havedealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with adespiteful heart, to destroy [it] for the old hatred;Chap. 25, Verse 15, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will stretchout mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off theCherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.Chap. 25, Verse 16, [EZE].

And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furiousrebukes; and they shall know that I [am] the LORD, when Ishall lay my vengeance upon them. Chap. 25, Verse 17,[EZE].

And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first[day] of the month, [that] the word of the LORD came untome, saying, Chap. 26, Verse 1, [EZE].

Son of man, because that Tyrus hath said againstJerusalem, Aha, she is broken [that was] the gates of thepeople: she is turned unto me: I shall be replenished,[now] she is laid waste: Chap. 26, Verse 2, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] againstthee, O Tyrus, and will cause many nations to come upagainst thee, as the sea causeth his waves to come up.Chap. 26, Verse 3, [EZE].

And they shall destroy the walls of Tyrus, and break downher towers: I will also scrape her dust from her, and makeher like the top of a rock. Chap. 26, Verse 4, [EZE].

It shall be [a place for] the spreading of nets in themidst of the sea: for I have spoken [it], saith the LordGOD: and it shall become a spoil to the nations. Chap. 26,Verse 5, [EZE].

And her daughters which [are] in the field shall be slainby the sword; and they shall know that I [am] the LORD.Chap. 26, Verse 6, [EZE].

For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring uponTyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, fromthe north, with horses, and with chariots, and withhorsemen, and companies, and much people. Chap. 26, Verse7, [EZE].

He shall slay with the sword thy daughters in the field:and he shall make a fort against thee, and cast a mountagainst thee, and lift up the buckler against thee. Chap.26, Verse 8, [EZE].

And he shall set engines of war against thy walls, andwith his axes he shall break down thy towers. Chap. 26,Verse 9, [EZE].

By reason of the abundance of his horses their dust shallcover thee: thy walls shall shake at the noise of thehorsemen, and of the wheels, and of the chariots, when heshall enter into thy gates, as men enter into a citywherein is made a breach. Chap. 26, Verse 10, [EZE].

With the hoofs of his horses shall he tread down all thystreets: he shall slay thy people by the sword, and thystrong garrisons shall go down to the ground. Chap. 26,Verse 11, [EZE].

And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a preyof thy merchandise: and they shall break down thy walls,and destroy thy pleasant houses: and they shall lay thystones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of thewater. Chap. 26, Verse 12, [EZE].

And I will cause the noise of thy songs to cease; and the

sound of thy harps shall be no more heard. Chap. 26, Verse13, [EZE].

And I will make thee like the top of a rock: thou shalt be[a place] to spread nets upon; thou shalt be built no more:for I the LORD have spoken [it], saith the Lord GOD. Chap.26, Verse 14, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD to Tyrus; Shall not the islesshake at the sound of thy fall, when the wounded cry, whenthe slaughter is made in the midst of thee? Chap. 26,Verse 15, [EZE].

Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from theirthrones, and lay away their robes, and put off theirbroidered garments: they shall clothe themselves withtrembling; they shall sit upon the ground, and shalltremble at [every] moment, and be astonished at thee.Chap. 26, Verse 16, [EZE].

And they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say tothee, How art thou destroyed, [that wast] inhabited ofseafaring men, the renowned city, which wast strong in thesea, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terror [tobe] on all that haunt it! Chap. 26, Verse 17, [EZE].

Now shall the isles tremble in the day of thy fall; yea,the isles that [are] in the sea shall be troubled at thydeparture. Chap. 26, Verse 18, [EZE].

For thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall make thee adesolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; whenI shall bring up the deep upon thee, and great waters shallcover thee; Chap. 26, Verse 19, [EZE].

When I shall bring thee down with them that descend intothe pit, with the people of old time, and shall set thee inthe low parts of the earth, in places desolate of old, withthem that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited;and I shall set glory in the land of the living; Chap. 26,Verse 20, [EZE].

I will make thee a terror, and thou [shalt be] no [more]:though thou be sought for, yet shalt thou never be foundagain, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 26, Verse 21, [EZE].

The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, Chap.

27, Verse 1, [EZE].

Now, thou son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyrus;Chap. 27, Verse 2, [EZE].

And say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entryof the sea, [which art] a merchant of the people for manyisles, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O Tyrus, thou hast said, I[am] of perfect beauty. Chap. 27, Verse 3, [EZE].

Thy borders [are] in the midst of the seas, thy buildershave perfected thy beauty. Chap. 27, Verse 4, [EZE].

They have made all thy [ship] boards of fir trees ofSenir: they have taken cedars from Lebanon to make mastsfor thee. Chap. 27, Verse 5, [EZE].

[Of] the oaks of Bashan have they made thine oars; thecompany of the Ashurites have made thy benches [of] ivory,[brought] out of the isles of Chittim. Chap. 27, Verse 6,[EZE].

Fine linen with broidered work from Egypt was that whichthou spreadest forth to be thy sail; blue and purple fromthe isles of Elishah was that which covered thee. Chap.27, Verse 7, [EZE].

The inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad were thy mariners: thywise [men], O Tyrus, [that] were in thee, were thy pilots.Chap. 27, Verse 8, [EZE].

The ancients of Gebal and the wise [men] thereof were inthee thy calkers: all the ships of the sea with theirmariners were in thee to occupy thy merchandise. Chap. 27,Verse 9, [EZE].

They of Persia and of Lud and of Phut were in thine army,thy men of war: they hanged the shield and helmet in thee;they set forth thy comeliness. Chap. 27, Verse 10, [EZE].

The men of Arvad with thine army [were] upon thy wallsround about, and the Gammadims were in thy towers: theyhanged their shields upon thy walls round about; they havemade thy beauty perfect. Chap. 27, Verse 11, [EZE].

Tarshish [was] thy merchant by reason of the multitude ofall [kind of] riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead,

they traded in thy fairs. Chap. 27, Verse 12, [EZE].

Javan, Tubal, and Meshech, they [were] thy merchants: theytraded the persons of men and vessels of brass in thymarket. Chap. 27, Verse 13, [EZE].

They of the house of Togarmah traded in thy fairs withhorses and horsemen and mules. Chap. 27, Verse 14, [EZE].

The men of Dedan [were] thy merchants; many isles [were]the merchandise of thine hand: they brought thee [for] apresent horns of ivory and ebony. Chap. 27, Verse 15,[EZE].

Syria [was] thy merchant by reason of the multitude of thewares of thy making: they occupied in thy fairs withemeralds, purple, and broidered work, and fine linen, andcoral, and agate. Chap. 27, Verse 16, [EZE].

Judah, and the land of Israel, they [were] thy merchants:they traded in thy market wheat of Minnith, and Pannag, andhoney, and oil, and balm. Chap. 27, Verse 17, [EZE].

Damascus [was] thy merchant in the multitude of the waresof thy making, for the multitude of all riches; in the wineof Helbon, and white wool. Chap. 27, Verse 18, [EZE].

Dan also and Javan going to and fro occupied in thy fairs:bright iron, cassia, and calamus, were in thy market.Chap. 27, Verse 19, [EZE].

Dedan [was] thy merchant in precious clothes for chariots.Chap. 27, Verse 20, [EZE].

Arabia, and all the princes of Kedar, they occupied withthee in lambs, and rams, and goats: in these [were they]thy merchants. Chap. 27, Verse 21, [EZE].

The merchants of Sheba and Raamah, they [were] thymerchants: they occupied in thy fairs with chief of allspices, and with all precious stones, and gold. Chap. 27,Verse 22, [EZE].

Haran, and Canneh, and Eden, the merchants of Sheba,Asshur, [and] Chilmad, [were] thy merchants. Chap. 27,Verse 23, [EZE].

These [were] thy merchants in all sorts [of things], inblue clothes, and broidered work, and in chests of richapparel, bound with cords, and made of cedar, among thymerchandise. Chap. 27, Verse 24, [EZE].

The ships of Tarshish did sing of thee in thy market: andthou wast replenished, and made very glorious in the midstof the seas. Chap. 27, Verse 25, [EZE].

Thy rowers have brought thee into great waters: the eastwind hath broken thee in the midst of the seas. Chap. 27,Verse 26, [EZE].

Thy riches, and thy fairs, thy merchandise, thy mariners,and thy pilots, thy calkers, and the occupiers of thymerchandise, and all thy men of war, that [are] in thee,and in all thy company which [is] in the midst of thee,shall fall into the midst of the seas in the day of thyruin. Chap. 27, Verse 27, [EZE].

The suburbs shall shake at the sound of the cry of thypilots. Chap. 27, Verse 28, [EZE].

And all that handle the oar, the mariners, [and] all thepilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships, theyshall stand upon the land; Chap. 27, Verse 29, [EZE].

And shall cause their voice to be heard against thee, andshall cry bitterly, and shall cast up dust upon theirheads, they shall wallow themselves in the ashes: Chap.27, Verse 30, [EZE].

And they shall make themselves utterly bald for thee, andgird them with sackcloth, and they shall weep for thee withbitterness of heart [and] bitter wailing. Chap. 27, Verse31, [EZE].

And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation forthee, and lament over thee, [saying], What [city is] likeTyrus, like the destroyed in the midst of the sea? Chap.27, Verse 32, [EZE].

When thy wares went forth out of the seas, thou filledstmany people; thou didst enrich the kings of the earth withthe multitude of thy riches and of thy merchandise. Chap.27, Verse 33, [EZE].

In the time [when] thou shalt be broken by the seas in thedepths of the waters thy merchandise and all thy company inthe midst of thee shall fall. Chap. 27, Verse 34, [EZE].

All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished atthee, and their kings shall be sore afraid, they shall betroubled in [their] countenance. Chap. 27, Verse 35,[EZE].

The merchants among the people shall hiss at thee; thoushalt be a terror, and never [shalt be] any more. Chap.27, Verse 36, [EZE].

The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, Chap.28, Verse 1, [EZE].

Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith theLord GOD; Because thine heart [is] lifted up, and thou hastsaid, I [am] a God, I sit [in] the seat of God, in themidst of the seas; yet thou [art] a man, and not God,though thou set thine heart as the heart of God: Chap. 28,Verse 2, [EZE].

Behold, thou [art] wiser than Daniel; there is no secretthat they can hide from thee: Chap. 28, Verse 3, [EZE].

With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hastgotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver intothy treasures: Chap. 28, Verse 4, [EZE].

By thy great wisdom [and] by thy traffic hast thouincreased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up becauseof thy riches: Chap. 28, Verse 5, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast setthine heart as the heart of God; Chap. 28, Verse 6, [EZE].

Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, theterrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swordsagainst the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thybrightness. Chap. 28, Verse 7, [EZE].

They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt diethe deaths of [them that are] slain in the midst of theseas. Chap. 28, Verse 8, [EZE].

Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I [am]

God? but thou [shalt be] a man, and no God, in the hand ofhim that slayeth thee. Chap. 28, Verse 9, [EZE].

Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the handof strangers: for I have spoken [it], saith the Lord GOD.Chap. 28, Verse 10, [EZE].

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap.28, Verse 11, [EZE].

Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus,and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest upthe sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Chap. 28,Verse 12, [EZE].

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every preciousstone [was] thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and thediamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire,the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanshipof thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in theday that thou wast created. Chap. 28, Verse 13, [EZE].

Thou [art] the anointed cherub that covereth; and I haveset thee [so]: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God;thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones offire. Chap. 28, Verse 14, [EZE].

Thou [wast] perfect in thy ways from the day that thouwast created, till iniquity was found in thee. Chap. 28,Verse 15, [EZE].

By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled themidst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned:therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountainof God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, fromthe midst of the stones of fire. Chap. 28, Verse 16,[EZE].

Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hastcorrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I willcast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, thatthey may behold thee. Chap. 28, Verse 17, [EZE].

Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude ofthine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffic; thereforewill I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shalldevour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth

in the sight of all them that behold thee. Chap. 28, Verse18, [EZE].

All they that know thee among the people shall beastonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never[shalt] thou [be] any more. Chap. 28, Verse 19, [EZE].

Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap.28, Verse 20, [EZE].

Son of man, set thy face against Zidon, and prophesyagainst it, Chap. 28, Verse 21, [EZE].

And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] againstthee, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the midst ofthee: and they shall know that I [am] the LORD, when Ishall have executed judgments in her, and shall besanctified in her. Chap. 28, Verse 22, [EZE].

For I will send into her pestilence, and blood into herstreets; and the wounded shall be judged in the midst ofher by the sword upon her on every side; and they shallknow that I [am] the LORD. Chap. 28, Verse 23, [EZE].

And there shall be no more a pricking brier unto the houseof Israel, nor [any] grieving thorn of all [that are] roundabout them, that despised them; and they shall know that I[am] the Lord GOD. Chap. 28, Verse 24, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall have gathered thehouse of Israel from the people among whom they arescattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight ofthe heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that Ihave given to my servant Jacob. Chap. 28, Verse 25, [EZE].

And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall buildhouses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell withconfidence, when I have executed judgments upon all thosethat despise them round about them; and they shall knowthat I [am] the LORD their God. Chap. 28, Verse 26, [EZE].

In the tenth year, in the tenth [month], in the twelfth[day] of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me,saying, Chap. 29, Verse 1, [EZE].

Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt,and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt: Chap. 29,

Verse 2, [EZE].

Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am]against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon thatlieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river[is] mine own, and I have made [it] for myself. Chap. 29,Verse 3, [EZE].

But I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause thefish of thy rivers to stick unto thy scales, and I willbring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, and all thefish of thy rivers shall stick unto thy scales. Chap. 29,Verse 4, [EZE].

And I will leave thee [thrown] into the wilderness, theeand all the fish of thy rivers: thou shalt fall upon theopen fields; thou shalt not be brought together, norgathered: I have given thee for meat to the beasts of thefield and to the fowls of the heaven. Chap. 29, Verse 5,[EZE].

And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I [am]the LORD, because they have been a staff of reed to thehouse of Israel. Chap. 29, Verse 6, [EZE].

When they took hold of thee by thy hand, thou didst break,and rend all their shoulder: and when they leaned uponthee, thou brakest, and madest all their loins to be at astand. Chap. 29, Verse 7, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring asword upon thee, and cut off man and beast out of thee.Chap. 29, Verse 8, [EZE].

And the land of Egypt shall be desolate and waste; andthey shall know that I [am] the LORD: because he hath said,The river [is] mine, and I have made [it]. Chap. 29, Verse9, [EZE].

Behold, therefore I [am] against thee, and against thyrivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste[and] desolate, from the tower of Syene even unto theborder of Ethiopia. Chap. 29, Verse 10, [EZE].

No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beastshall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited fortyyears. Chap. 29, Verse 11, [EZE].

And I will make the land of Egypt desolate in the midst ofthe countries [that are] desolate, and her cities among thecities [that are] laid waste shall be desolate forty years:and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, andwill disperse them through the countries. Chap. 29, Verse12, [EZE].

Yet thus saith the Lord GOD; At the end of forty yearswill I gather the Egyptians from the people whither theywere scattered: Chap. 29, Verse 13, [EZE].

And I will bring again the captivity of Egypt, and willcause them to return [into] the land of Pathros, into theland of their habitation; and they shall be there a basekingdom. Chap. 29, Verse 14, [EZE].

It shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall itexalt itself any more above the nations: for I willdiminish them, that they shall no more rule over thenations. Chap. 29, Verse 15, [EZE].

And it shall be no more the confidence of the house ofIsrael, which bringeth [their] iniquity to remembrance,when they shall look after them: but they shall know that I[am] the Lord GOD. Chap. 29, Verse 16, [EZE].

And it came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, inthe first [month], in the first [day] of the month, theword of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap. 29, Verse 17,[EZE].

Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his armyto serve a great service against Tyrus: every head [was]made bald, and every shoulder [was] peeled: yet had he nowages, nor his army, for Tyrus, for the service that he hadserved against it: Chap. 29, Verse 18, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will give theland of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and heshall take her multitude, and take her spoil, and take herprey; and it shall be the wages for his army. Chap. 29,Verse 19, [EZE].

I have given him the land of Egypt [for] his labourwherewith he served against it, because they wrought forme, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 29, Verse 20, [EZE].

In that day will I cause the horn of the house of Israelto bud forth, and I will give thee the opening of the mouthin the midst of them; and they shall know that I [am] theLORD. Chap. 29, Verse 21, [EZE].

The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, Chap.30, Verse 1, [EZE].

Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD;Howl ye, Woe worth the day! Chap. 30, Verse 2, [EZE].

For the day [is] near, even the day of the LORD [is] near,a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen. Chap.30, Verse 3, [EZE].

And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shallbe in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, andthey shall take away her multitude, and her foundationsshall be broken down. Chap. 30, Verse 4, [EZE].

Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the mingledpeople, and Chub, and the men of the land that is inleague, shall fall with them by the sword. Chap. 30, Verse5, [EZE].

Thus saith the LORD; They also that uphold Egypt shallfall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from thetower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saiththe Lord GOD. Chap. 30, Verse 6, [EZE].

And they shall be desolate in the midst of the countries[that are] desolate, and her cities shall be in the midstof the cities [that are] wasted. Chap. 30, Verse 7, [EZE].

And they shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I have seta fire in Egypt, and [when] all her helpers shall bedestroyed. Chap. 30, Verse 8, [EZE].

In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships tomake the careless Ethiopians afraid, and great pain shallcome upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it cometh.Chap. 30, Verse 9, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also make the multitude ofEgypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king ofBabylon. Chap. 30, Verse 10, [EZE].

He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations,shall be brought to destroy the land: and they shall drawtheir swords against Egypt, and fill the land with theslain. Chap. 30, Verse 11, [EZE].

And I will make the rivers dry, and sell the land into thehand of the wicked: and I will make the land waste, and allthat is therein, by the hand of strangers: I the LORD havespoken [it]. Chap. 30, Verse 12, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also destroy the idols,and I will cause [their] images to cease out of Noph; andthere shall be no more a prince of the land of Egypt: and Iwill put a fear in the land of Egypt. Chap. 30, Verse 13,[EZE].

And I will make Pathros desolate, and will set fire inZoan, and will execute judgments in No. Chap. 30, Verse14, [EZE].

And I will pour my fury upon Sin, the strength of Egypt;and I will cut off the multitude of No. Chap. 30, Verse15, [EZE].

And I will set fire in Egypt: Sin shall have great pain,and No shall be rent asunder, and Noph [shall have]distresses daily. Chap. 30, Verse 16, [EZE].

The young men of Aven and of Pi-beseth shall fall by thesword: and these [cities] shall go into captivity. Chap.30, Verse 17, [EZE].

At Tehaphnehes also the day shall be darkened, when Ishall break there the yokes of Egypt: and the pomp of herstrength shall cease in her: as for her, a cloud shallcover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.Chap. 30, Verse 18, [EZE].

Thus will I execute judgments in Egypt: and they shallknow that I [am] the LORD. Chap. 30, Verse 19, [EZE].

And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first[month], in the seventh [day] of the month, [that] the wordof the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap. 30, Verse 20,[EZE].

Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king ofEgypt; and, lo, it shall not be bound up to be healed, toput a roller to bind it, to make it strong to hold thesword. Chap. 30, Verse 21, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] againstPharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong,and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword tofall out of his hand. Chap. 30, Verse 22, [EZE].

And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, andwill disperse them through the countries. Chap. 30, Verse23, [EZE].

And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, andput my sword in his hand: but I will break Pharaoh's arms,and he shall groan before him with the groanings of adeadly wounded [man]. Chap. 30, Verse 24, [EZE].

But I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, andthe arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall knowthat I [am] the LORD, when I shall put my sword into thehand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it outupon the land of Egypt. Chap. 30, Verse 25, [EZE].

And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, anddisperse them among the countries; and they shall know thatI [am] the LORD. Chap. 30, Verse 26, [EZE].

And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the third[month], in the first [day] of the month, [that] the wordof the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap. 31, Verse 1,[EZE].

Son of man, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, and to hismultitude; Whom art thou like in thy greatness? Chap. 31,Verse 2, [EZE].

Behold, the Assyrian [was] a cedar in Lebanon with fairbranches, and with a shadowing shroud, and of an highstature; and his top was among the thick boughs. Chap. 31,Verse 3, [EZE].

The waters made him great, the deep set him up on highwith her rivers running round about his plants, and sentout her little rivers unto all the trees of the field.Chap. 31, Verse 4, [EZE].

Therefore his height was exalted above all the trees ofthe field, and his boughs were multiplied, and his branchesbecame long because of the multitude of waters, when heshot forth. Chap. 31, Verse 5, [EZE].

All the fowls of heaven made their nests in his boughs,and under his branches did all the beasts of the fieldbring forth their young, and under his shadow dwelt allgreat nations. Chap. 31, Verse 6, [EZE].

Thus was he fair in his greatness, in the length of hisbranches: for his root was by great waters. Chap. 31,Verse 7, [EZE].

The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him: thefir trees were not like his boughs, and the chestnut treeswere not like his branches; nor any tree in the garden ofGod was like unto him in his beauty. Chap. 31, Verse 8,[EZE].

I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: sothat all the trees of Eden, that [were] in the garden ofGod, envied him. Chap. 31, Verse 9, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hastlifted up thyself in height, and he hath shot up his topamong the thick boughs, and his heart is lifted up in hisheight; Chap. 31, Verse 10, [EZE].

I have therefore delivered him into the hand of the mightyone of the heathen; he shall surely deal with him: I havedriven him out for his wickedness. Chap. 31, Verse 11,[EZE].

And strangers, the terrible of the nations, have cut himoff, and have left him: upon the mountains and in all thevalleys his branches are fallen, and his boughs are brokenby all the rivers of the land; and all the people of theearth are gone down from his shadow, and have left him.Chap. 31, Verse 12, [EZE].

Upon his ruin shall all the fowls of the heaven remain,and all the beasts of the field shall be upon his branches:Chap. 31, Verse 13, [EZE].

To the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt

themselves for their height, neither shoot up their topamong the thick boughs, neither their trees stand up intheir height, all that drink water: for they are alldelivered unto death, to the nether parts of the earth, inthe midst of the children of men, with them that go down tothe pit. Chap. 31, Verse 14, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when he went down tothe grave I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him,and I restrained the floods thereof, and the great waterswere stayed: and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and allthe trees of the field fainted for him. Chap. 31, Verse15, [EZE].

I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, whenI cast him down to hell with them that descend into thepit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best ofLebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in thenether parts of the earth. Chap. 31, Verse 16, [EZE].

They also went down into hell with him unto [them that be]slain with the sword; and [they that were] his arm, [that]dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the heathen. Chap.31, Verse 17, [EZE].

To whom art thou thus like in glory and in greatness amongthe trees of Eden? yet shalt thou be brought down with thetrees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth: thoushalt lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with [them thatbe] slain by the sword. This [is] Pharaoh and all hismultitude, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 31, Verse 18, [EZE].

And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the twelfthmonth, in the first [day] of the month, [that] the word ofthe LORD came unto me, saying, Chap. 32, Verse 1, [EZE].

Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king ofEgypt, and say unto him, Thou art like a young lion of thenations, and thou [art] as a whale in the seas: and thoucamest forth with thy rivers, and troubledst the waterswith thy feet, and fouledst their rivers. Chap. 32, Verse2, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will therefore spread out mynet over thee with a company of many people; and they shallbring thee up in my net. Chap. 32, Verse 3, [EZE].

Then will I leave thee upon the land, I will cast theeforth upon the open field, and will cause all the fowls ofthe heaven to remain upon thee, and I will fill the beastsof the whole earth with thee. Chap. 32, Verse 4, [EZE].

And I will lay thy flesh upon the mountains, and fill thevalleys with thy height. Chap. 32, Verse 5, [EZE].

I will also water with thy blood the land wherein thouswimmest, [even] to the mountains; and the rivers shall befull of thee. Chap. 32, Verse 6, [EZE].

And when I shall put thee out, I will cover the heaven,and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun witha cloud, and the moon shall not give her light. Chap. 32,Verse 7, [EZE].

All the bright lights of heaven will I make dark overthee, and set darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord GOD.Chap. 32, Verse 8, [EZE].

I will also vex the hearts of many people, when I shallbring thy destruction among the nations, into the countrieswhich thou hast not known. Chap. 32, Verse 9, [EZE].

Yea, I will make many people amazed at thee, and theirkings shall be horribly afraid for thee, when I shallbrandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at[every] moment, every man for his own life, in the day ofthy fall. Chap. 32, Verse 10, [EZE].

For thus saith the Lord GOD; The sword of the king ofBabylon shall come upon thee. Chap. 32, Verse 11, [EZE].

By the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude tofall, the terrible of the nations, all of them: and theyshall spoil the pomp of Egypt, and all the multitudethereof shall be destroyed. Chap. 32, Verse 12, [EZE].

I will destroy also all the beasts thereof from beside thegreat waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble themany more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble them. Chap. 32,Verse 13, [EZE].

Then will I make their waters deep, and cause their riversto run like oil, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 32, Verse 14,[EZE].

When I shall make the land of Egypt desolate, and thecountry shall be destitute of that whereof it was full,when I shall smite all them that dwell therein, then shallthey know that I [am] the LORD. Chap. 32, Verse 15, [EZE].

This [is] the lamentation wherewith they shall lament her:the daughters of the nations shall lament her: they shalllament for her, [even] for Egypt, and for all hermultitude, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 32, Verse 16, [EZE].

It came to pass also in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth[day] of the month, [that] the word of the LORD came untome, saying, Chap. 32, Verse 17, [EZE].

Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast themdown, [even] her, and the daughters of the famous nations,unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go downinto the pit. Chap. 32, Verse 18, [EZE].

Whom dost thou pass in beauty? go down, and be thou laidwith the uncircumcised. Chap. 32, Verse 19, [EZE].

They shall fall in the midst of [them that are] slain bythe sword: she is delivered to the sword: draw her and allher multitudes. Chap. 32, Verse 20, [EZE].

The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of themidst of hell with them that help him: they are gone down,they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword. Chap. 32,Verse 21, [EZE].

Asshur [is] there and all her company: his graves [are]about him: all of them slain, fallen by the sword: Chap.32, Verse 22, [EZE].

Whose graves are set in the sides of the pit, and hercompany is round about her grave: all of them slain, fallenby the sword, which caused terror in the land of theliving. Chap. 32, Verse 23, [EZE].

There [is] Elam and all her multitude round about hergrave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which aregone down uncircumcised into the nether parts of the earth,which caused their terror in the land of the living; yethave they borne their shame with them that go down to thepit. Chap. 32, Verse 24, [EZE].

They have set her a bed in the midst of the slain with allher multitude: her graves [are] round about him: all ofthem uncircumcised, slain by the sword: though their terrorwas caused in the land of the living, yet have they bornetheir shame with them that go down to the pit: he is put inthe midst of [them that be] slain. Chap. 32, Verse 25,[EZE].

There [is] Meshech, Tubal, and all her multitude: hergraves [are] round about him: all of them uncircumcised,slain by the sword, though they caused their terror in theland of the living. Chap. 32, Verse 26, [EZE].

And they shall not lie with the mighty [that are] fallenof the uncircumcised, which are gone down to hell withtheir weapons of war: and they have laid their swords undertheir heads, but their iniquities shall be upon theirbones, though [they were] the terror of the mighty in theland of the living. Chap. 32, Verse 27, [EZE].

Yea, thou shalt be broken in the midst of theuncircumcised, and shalt lie with [them that are] slainwith the sword. Chap. 32, Verse 28, [EZE].

There [is] Edom, her kings, and all her princes, whichwith their might are laid by [them that were] slain by thesword: they shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with themthat go down to the pit. Chap. 32, Verse 29, [EZE].

There [be] the princes of the north, all of them, and allthe Zidonians, which are gone down with the slain; withtheir terror they are ashamed of their might; and they lieuncircumcised with [them that be] slain by the sword, andbear their shame with them that go down to the pit. Chap.32, Verse 30, [EZE].

Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over allhis multitude, [even] Pharaoh and all his army slain by thesword, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 32, Verse 31, [EZE].

For I have caused my terror in the land of the living: andhe shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised with[them that are] slain with the sword, [even] Pharaoh andall his multitude, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 32, Verse 32,[EZE].

Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap.33, Verse 1, [EZE].

Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and sayunto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if thepeople of the land take a man of their coasts, and set himfor their watchman: Chap. 33, Verse 2, [EZE].

If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow thetrumpet, and warn the people; Chap. 33, Verse 3, [EZE].

Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, andtaketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away,his blood shall be upon his own head. Chap. 33, Verse 4,[EZE].

He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning;his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warningshall deliver his soul. Chap. 33, Verse 5, [EZE].

But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not thetrumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come,and take [any] person from among them, he is taken away inhis iniquity; but his blood will I require at thewatchman's hand. Chap. 33, Verse 6, [EZE].

So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto thehouse of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at mymouth, and warn them from me. Chap. 33, Verse 7, [EZE].

When I say unto the wicked, O wicked [man], thou shaltsurely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked fromhis way, that wicked [man] shall die in his iniquity; buthis blood will I require at thine hand. Chap. 33, Verse 8,[EZE].

Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turnfrom it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die inhis iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. Chap. 33,Verse 9, [EZE].

Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house ofIsrael; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions andour sins [be] upon us, and we pine away in them, how shouldwe then live? Chap. 33, Verse 10, [EZE].

Say unto them, [As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no

pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wickedturn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evilways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? Chap. 33,Verse 11, [EZE].

Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thypeople, The righteousness of the righteous shall notdeliver him in the day of his transgression: as for thewickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in theday that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall therighteous be able to live for his [righteousness] in theday that he sinneth. Chap. 33, Verse 12, [EZE].

When I shall say to the righteous, [that] he shall surelylive; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commitiniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered;but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall diefor it. Chap. 33, Verse 13, [EZE].

Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die;if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful andright; Chap. 33, Verse 14, [EZE].

[If] the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he hadrobbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committinginiquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die. Chap.33, Verse 15, [EZE].

None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentionedunto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; heshall surely live. Chap. 33, Verse 16, [EZE].

Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord isnot equal: but as for them, their way is not equal. Chap.33, Verse 17, [EZE].

When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, andcommitteth iniquity, he shall even die thereby. Chap. 33,Verse 18, [EZE].

But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do thatwhich is lawful and right, he shall live thereby. Chap.33, Verse 19, [EZE].

Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye houseof Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.Chap. 33, Verse 20, [EZE].

And it came to pass in the twelfth year of our captivity,in the tenth [month], in the fifth [day] of the month,[that] one that had escaped out of Jerusalem came unto me,saying, The city is smitten. Chap. 33, Verse 21, [EZE].

Now the hand of the LORD was upon me in the evening, aforehe that was escaped came; and had opened my mouth, until hecame to me in the morning; and my mouth was opened, and Iwas no more dumb. Chap. 33, Verse 22, [EZE].

Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap. 33,Verse 23, [EZE].

Son of man, they that inhabit those wastes of the land ofIsrael speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited theland: but we [are] many; the land is given us forinheritance. Chap. 33, Verse 24, [EZE].

Wherefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Ye eatwith the blood, and lift up your eyes toward your idols,and shed blood: and shall ye possess the land? Chap. 33,Verse 25, [EZE].

Ye stand upon your sword, ye work abomination, and yedefile every one his neighbour's wife: and shall ye possessthe land? Chap. 33, Verse 26, [EZE].

Say thou thus unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; [As] Ilive, surely they that [are] in the wastes shall fall bythe sword, and him that [is] in the open field will I giveto the beasts to be devoured, and they that [be] in theforts and in the caves shall die of the pestilence. Chap.33, Verse 27, [EZE].

For I will lay the land most desolate, and the pomp of herstrength shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall bedesolate, that none shall pass through. Chap. 33, Verse28, [EZE].

Then shall they know that I [am] the LORD, when I havelaid the land most desolate because of all theirabominations which they have committed. Chap. 33, Verse29, [EZE].

Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people stillare talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of

the houses, and speak one to another, every one to hisbrother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is theword that cometh forth from the LORD. Chap. 33, Verse 30,[EZE].

And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sitbefore thee [as] my people, and they hear thy words, butthey will not do them: for with their mouth they shew muchlove, [but] their heart goeth after their covetousness.Chap. 33, Verse 31, [EZE].

And, lo, thou [art] unto them as a very lovely song of onethat hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on aninstrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.Chap. 33, Verse 32, [EZE].

And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) thenshall they know that a prophet hath been among them. Chap.33, Verse 33, [EZE].

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap. 34,Verse 1, [EZE].

Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel,prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD untothe shepherds; Woe [be] to the shepherds of Israel that dofeed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?Chap. 34, Verse 2, [EZE].

Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye killthem that are fed: [but] ye feed not the flock. Chap. 34,Verse 3, [EZE].

The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have yehealed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up [thatwhich was] broken, neither have ye brought again that whichwas driven away, neither have ye sought that which waslost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them.Chap. 34, Verse 4, [EZE].

And they were scattered, because [there is] no shepherd:and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, whenthey were scattered. Chap. 34, Verse 5, [EZE].

My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and uponevery high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all theface of the earth, and none did search or seek [after

them]. Chap. 34, Verse 6, [EZE].

Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD; Chap.34, Verse 7, [EZE].

[As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely because my flockbecame a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast ofthe field, because [there was] no shepherd, neither did myshepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fedthemselves, and fed not my flock; Chap. 34, Verse 8,[EZE].

Therefore, O ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;Chap. 34, Verse 9, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] against theshepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, andcause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shallthe shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will delivermy flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat forthem. Chap. 34, Verse 10, [EZE].

For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, [even] I, willboth search my sheep, and seek them out. Chap. 34, Verse11, [EZE].

As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he isamong his sheep [that are] scattered; so will I seek out mysheep, and will deliver them out of all places where theyhave been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. Chap. 34,Verse 12, [EZE].

And I will bring them out from the people, and gather themfrom the countries, and will bring them to their own land,and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers,and in all the inhabited places of the country. Chap. 34,Verse 13, [EZE].

I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the highmountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall theylie in a good fold, and [in] a fat pasture shall they feedupon the mountains of Israel. Chap. 34, Verse 14, [EZE].

I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down,saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 34, Verse 15, [EZE].

I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that

which was driven away, and will bind up [that which was]broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I willdestroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them withjudgment. Chap. 34, Verse 16, [EZE].

And [as for] you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord GOD;Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the ramsand the he goats. Chap. 34, Verse 17, [EZE].

[Seemeth it] a small thing unto you to have eaten up thegood pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet theresidue of your pastures? and to have drunk of the deepwaters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet? Chap.34, Verse 18, [EZE].

And [as for] my flock, they eat that which ye have troddenwith your feet; and they drink that which ye have fouledwith your feet. Chap. 34, Verse 19, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD unto them; Behold, I,[even] I, will judge between the fat cattle and between thelean cattle. Chap. 34, Verse 20, [EZE].

Because ye have thrust with side and with shoulder, andpushed all the diseased with your horns, till ye havescattered them abroad; Chap. 34, Verse 21, [EZE].

Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more bea prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle. Chap.34, Verse 22, [EZE].

And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shallfeed them, [even] my servant David; he shall feed them, andhe shall be their shepherd. Chap. 34, Verse 23, [EZE].

And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David aprince among them; I the LORD have spoken [it]. Chap. 34,Verse 24, [EZE].

And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and willcause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and theyshall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in thewoods. Chap. 34, Verse 25, [EZE].

And I will make them and the places round about my hill ablessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in hisseason; there shall be showers of blessing. Chap. 34,

Verse 26, [EZE].

And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and theearth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe intheir land, and shall know that I [am] the LORD, when Ihave broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them outof the hand of those that served themselves of them. Chap.34, Verse 27, [EZE].

And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neithershall the beast of the land devour them; but they shalldwell safely, and none shall make [them] afraid. Chap. 34,Verse 28, [EZE].

And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and theyshall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neitherbear the shame of the heathen any more. Chap. 34, Verse29, [EZE].

Thus shall they know that I the LORD their God [am] withthem, and [that] they, [even] the house of Israel, [are] mypeople, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 34, Verse 30, [EZE].

And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, [are] men, [and]I [am] your God, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 34, Verse 31,[EZE].

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap.35, Verse 1, [EZE].

Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesyagainst it, Chap. 35, Verse 2, [EZE].

And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mountSeir, I [am] against thee, and I will stretch out mine handagainst thee, and I will make thee most desolate. Chap.35, Verse 3, [EZE].

I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate,and thou shalt know that I [am] the LORD. Chap. 35, Verse4, [EZE].

Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed[the blood of] the children of Israel by the force of thesword in the time of their calamity, in the time [thattheir] iniquity [had] an end: Chap. 35, Verse 5, [EZE].

Therefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will preparethee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thouhast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee. Chap.35, Verse 6, [EZE].

Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut offfrom it him that passeth out and him that returneth. Chap.35, Verse 7, [EZE].

And I will fill his mountains with his slain [men]: in thyhills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shallthey fall that are slain with the sword. Chap. 35, Verse8, [EZE].

I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy citiesshall not return: and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD.Chap. 35, Verse 9, [EZE].

Because thou hast said, These two nations and these twocountries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereasthe LORD was there: Chap. 35, Verse 10, [EZE].

Therefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will even doaccording to thine anger, and according to thine envy whichthou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I willmake myself known among them, when I have judged thee.Chap. 35, Verse 11, [EZE].

And thou shalt know that I [am] the LORD, [and that] Ihave heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spokenagainst the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laiddesolate, they are given us to consume. Chap. 35, Verse12, [EZE].

Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and havemultiplied your words against me: I have heard [them].Chap. 35, Verse 13, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoiceth, Iwill make thee desolate. Chap. 35, Verse 14, [EZE].

As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house ofIsrael, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee:thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea,[even] all of it: and they shall know that I [am] the LORD.Chap. 35, Verse 15, [EZE].

Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains ofIsrael, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word ofthe LORD: Chap. 36, Verse 1, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the enemy hath saidagainst you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours inpossession: Chap. 36, Verse 2, [EZE].

Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD;Because they have made [you] desolate, and swallowed you upon every side, that ye might be a possession unto theresidue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips oftalkers, and [are] an infamy of the people: Chap. 36,Verse 3, [EZE].

Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of theLord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and tothe hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to thedesolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, whichbecame a prey and derision to the residue of the heathenthat [are] round about; Chap. 36, Verse 4, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire ofmy jealousy have I spoken against the residue of theheathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed myland into their possession with the joy of all [their]heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.Chap. 36, Verse 5, [EZE].

Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and sayunto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and tothe valleys, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I have spokenin my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne theshame of the heathen: Chap. 36, Verse 6, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I have lifted up minehand, Surely the heathen that [are] about you, they shallbear their shame. Chap. 36, Verse 7, [EZE].

But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth yourbranches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; forthey are at hand to come. Chap. 36, Verse 8, [EZE].

For, behold, I [am] for you, and I will turn unto you, andye shall be tilled and sown: Chap. 36, Verse 9, [EZE].

And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel,

[even] all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, andthe wastes shall be builded: Chap. 36, Verse 10, [EZE].

And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shallincrease and bring fruit: and I will settle you after yourold estates, and will do better [unto you] than at yourbeginnings: and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD. Chap.36, Verse 11, [EZE].

Yea, I will cause men to walk upon you, [even] my peopleIsrael; and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt betheir inheritance, and thou shalt no more henceforthbereave them [of men]. Chap. 36, Verse 12, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because they say unto you, Thou[land] devourest up men, and hast bereaved thy nations;Chap. 36, Verse 13, [EZE].

Therefore thou shalt devour men no more, neither bereavethy nations any more, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 36, Verse14, [EZE].

Neither will I cause [men] to hear in thee the shame ofthe heathen any more, neither shalt thou bear the reproachof the people any more, neither shalt thou cause thynations to fall any more, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 36,Verse 15, [EZE].

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap.36, Verse 16, [EZE].

Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their ownland, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings:their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removedwoman. Chap. 36, Verse 17, [EZE].

Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood thatthey had shed upon the land, and for their idols[wherewith] they had polluted it: Chap. 36, Verse 18,[EZE].

And I scattered them among the heathen, and they weredispersed through the countries: according to their way andaccording to their doings I judged them. Chap. 36, Verse19, [EZE].

And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went,

they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These[are] the people of the LORD, and are gone forth out of hisland. Chap. 36, Verse 20, [EZE].

But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house ofIsrael had profaned among the heathen, whither they went.Chap. 36, Verse 21, [EZE].

Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith theLord GOD; I do not [this] for your sakes, O house ofIsrael, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye haveprofaned among the heathen, whither ye went. Chap. 36,Verse 22, [EZE].

And I will sanctify my great name, which was profanedamong the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst ofthem; and the heathen shall know that I [am] the LORD,saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in youbefore their eyes. Chap. 36, Verse 23, [EZE].

For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather youout of all countries, and will bring you into your ownland. Chap. 36, Verse 24, [EZE].

Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall beclean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols,will I cleanse you. Chap. 36, Verse 25, [EZE].

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will Iput within you: and I will take away the stony heart out ofyour flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. Chap.36, Verse 26, [EZE].

And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walkin my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do[them]. Chap. 36, Verse 27, [EZE].

And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to yourfathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.Chap. 36, Verse 28, [EZE].

I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and Iwill call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay nofamine upon you. Chap. 36, Verse 29, [EZE].

And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and theincrease of the field, that ye shall receive no more

reproach of famine among the heathen. Chap. 36, Verse 30,[EZE].

Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doingsthat [were] not good, and shall loathe yourselves in yourown sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.Chap. 36, Verse 31, [EZE].

Not for your sakes do I [this], saith the Lord GOD, be itknown unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your ownways, O house of Israel. Chap. 36, Verse 32, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall havecleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause[you] to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall bebuilded. Chap. 36, Verse 33, [EZE].

And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it laydesolate in the sight of all that passed by. Chap. 36,Verse 34, [EZE].

And they shall say, This land that was desolate is becomelike the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate andruined cities [are become] fenced, [and] are inhabited.Chap. 36, Verse 35, [EZE].

Then the heathen that are left round about you shall knowthat I the LORD build the ruined [places, and] plant thatthat was desolate: I the LORD have spoken [it], and I willdo [it]. Chap. 36, Verse 36, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet [for] this be inquiredof by the house of Israel, to do [it] for them; I willincrease them with men like a flock. Chap. 36, Verse 37,[EZE].

As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemnfeasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks ofmen: and they shall know that I [am] the LORD. Chap. 36,Verse 38, [EZE].

The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out inthe spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of thevalley which [was] full of bones, Chap. 37, Verse 1,[EZE].

And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold,

[there were] very many in the open valley; and, lo, [theywere] very dry. Chap. 37, Verse 2, [EZE].

And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? AndI answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest. Chap. 37, Verse 3,[EZE].

Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and sayunto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.Chap. 37, Verse 4, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I willcause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: Chap.37, Verse 5, [EZE].

And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up fleshupon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you,and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD.Chap. 37, Verse 6, [EZE].

So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied,there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones cametogether, bone to his bone. Chap. 37, Verse 7, [EZE].

And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came upupon them, and the skin covered them above: but [there was]no breath in them. Chap. 37, Verse 8, [EZE].

Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy,son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD;Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon theseslain, that they may live. Chap. 37, Verse 9, [EZE].

So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath cameinto them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, anexceeding great army. Chap. 37, Verse 10, [EZE].

Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are thewhole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones aredried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.Chap. 37, Verse 11, [EZE].

Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the LordGOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, andcause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you intothe land of Israel. Chap. 37, Verse 12, [EZE].

And ye shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I have openedyour graves, O my people, and brought you up out of yourgraves, Chap. 37, Verse 13, [EZE].

And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and Ishall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that Ithe LORD have spoken [it], and performed [it], saith theLORD. Chap. 37, Verse 14, [EZE].

The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, Chap.37, Verse 15, [EZE].

Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and writeupon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel hiscompanions: then take another stick, and write upon it, ForJoseph, the stick of Ephraim, and [for] all the house ofIsrael his companions: Chap. 37, Verse 16, [EZE].

And join them one to another into one stick; and theyshall become one in thine hand. Chap. 37, Verse 17, [EZE].

And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee,saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou [meanest] by these?Chap. 37, Verse 18, [EZE].

Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I willtake the stick of Joseph, which [is] in the hand ofEphraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will putthem with him, [even] with the stick of Judah, and makethem one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand. Chap.37, Verse 19, [EZE].

And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine handbefore their eyes. Chap. 37, Verse 20, [EZE].

And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I willtake the children of Israel from among the heathen, whitherthey be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bringthem into their own land: Chap. 37, Verse 21, [EZE].

And I will make them one nation in the land upon themountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to themall: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shallthey be divided into two kingdoms any more at all: Chap.37, Verse 22, [EZE].

Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their

idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any oftheir transgressions: but I will save them out of all theirdwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleansethem: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.Chap. 37, Verse 23, [EZE].

And David my servant [shall be] king over them; and theyall shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in myjudgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. Chap. 37,Verse 24, [EZE].

And they shall dwell in the land that I have given untoJacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and theyshall dwell therein, [even] they, and their children, andtheir children's children for ever: and my servant David[shall be] their prince for ever. Chap. 37, Verse 25,[EZE].

Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; itshall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I willplace them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary inthe midst of them for evermore. Chap. 37, Verse 26, [EZE].

My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will betheir God, and they shall be my people. Chap. 37, Verse27, [EZE].

And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctifyIsrael, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them forevermore. Chap. 37, Verse 28, [EZE].

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Chap. 38,Verse 1, [EZE].

Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog,the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy againsthim, Chap. 38, Verse 2, [EZE].

And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] againstthee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: Chap.38, Verse 3, [EZE].

And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws,and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses andhorsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts [of armour,even] a great company [with] bucklers and shields, all ofthem handling swords: Chap. 38, Verse 4, [EZE].

Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them withshield and helmet: Chap. 38, Verse 5, [EZE].

Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of thenorth quarters, and all his bands: [and] many people withthee. Chap. 38, Verse 6, [EZE].

Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and allthy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou aguard unto them. Chap. 38, Verse 7, [EZE].

After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter yearsthou shalt come into the land [that is] brought back fromthe sword, [and is] gathered out of many people, againstthe mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: butit is brought forth out of the nations, and they shalldwell safely all of them. Chap. 38, Verse 8, [EZE].

Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt belike a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands,and many people with thee. Chap. 38, Verse 9, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass,[that] at the same time shall things come into thy mind,and thou shalt think an evil thought: Chap. 38, Verse 10,[EZE].

And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalledvillages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwellsafely, all of them dwelling without walls, and havingneither bars nor gates, Chap. 38, Verse 11, [EZE].

To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine handupon the desolate places [that are now] inhabited, and uponthe people [that are] gathered out of the nations, whichhave gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst ofthe land. Chap. 38, Verse 12, [EZE].

Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with allthe young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou cometo take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take aprey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattleand goods, to take a great spoil? Chap. 38, Verse 13,[EZE].

Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus

saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israeldwelleth safely, shalt thou not know [it]? Chap. 38, Verse14, [EZE].

And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts,thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding uponhorses, a great company, and a mighty army: Chap. 38,Verse 15, [EZE].

And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as acloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days,and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen mayknow me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, beforetheir eyes. Chap. 38, Verse 16, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; [Art] thou he of whom I havespoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel,which prophesied in those days [many] years that I wouldbring thee against them? Chap. 38, Verse 17, [EZE].

And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shallcome against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, [that]my fury shall come up in my face. Chap. 38, Verse 18,[EZE].

For in my jealousy [and] in the fire of my wrath have Ispoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shakingin the land of Israel; Chap. 38, Verse 19, [EZE].

So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of theheaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creepingthings that creep upon the earth, and all the men that[are] upon the face of the earth, shall shake at mypresence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and thesteep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to theground. Chap. 38, Verse 20, [EZE].

And I will call for a sword against him throughout all mymountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall beagainst his brother. Chap. 38, Verse 21, [EZE].

And I will plead against him with pestilence and withblood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, andupon the many people that [are] with him, an overflowingrain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Chap. 38,Verse 22, [EZE].

Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and Iwill be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shallknow that I [am] the LORD. Chap. 38, Verse 23, [EZE].

Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say,Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] against thee, OGog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: Chap. 39,Verse 1, [EZE].

And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part ofthee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts,and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: Chap.39, Verse 2, [EZE].

And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and willcause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. Chap.39, Verse 3, [EZE].

Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, andall thy bands, and the people that [is] with thee: I willgive thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and [to]the beasts of the field to be devoured. Chap. 39, Verse 4,[EZE].

Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken[it], saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 39, Verse 5, [EZE].

And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwellcarelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I [am]the LORD. Chap. 39, Verse 6, [EZE].

So will I make my holy name known in the midst of mypeople Israel; and I will not [let them] pollute my holyname any more: and the heathen shall know that I [am] theLORD, the Holy One in Israel. Chap. 39, Verse 7, [EZE].

Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD;this [is] the day whereof I have spoken. Chap. 39, Verse8, [EZE].

And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall goforth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both theshields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and thehandstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them withfire seven years: Chap. 39, Verse 9, [EZE].

So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither

cut down [any] out of the forests; for they shall burn theweapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiledthem, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.Chap. 39, Verse 10, [EZE].

And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] I will giveunto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley ofthe passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stopthe [noses] of the passengers: and there shall they buryGog and all his multitude: and they shall call [it] Thevalley of Hamon-gog. Chap. 39, Verse 11, [EZE].

And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying ofthem, that they may cleanse the land. Chap. 39, Verse 12,[EZE].

Yea, all the people of the land shall bury [them]; and itshall be to them a renown the day that I shall beglorified, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 39, Verse 13, [EZE].

And they shall sever out men of continual employment,passing through the land to bury with the passengers thosethat remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it:after the end of seven months shall they search. Chap. 39,Verse 14, [EZE].

And the passengers [that] pass through the land, when[any] seeth a man's bone, then shall he set up a sign byit, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamon-gog. Chap. 39, Verse 15, [EZE].

And also the name of the city [shall be] Hamonah. Thusshall they cleanse the land. Chap. 39, Verse 16, [EZE].

And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak untoevery feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field,Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on everyside to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, [even] agreat sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye mayeat flesh, and drink blood. Chap. 39, Verse 17, [EZE].

Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the bloodof the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and ofgoats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan. Chap.39, Verse 18, [EZE].

And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till

ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed foryou. Chap. 39, Verse 19, [EZE].

Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses andchariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saiththe Lord GOD. Chap. 39, Verse 20, [EZE].

And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all theheathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and myhand that I have laid upon them. Chap. 39, Verse 21,[EZE].

So the house of Israel shall know that I [am] the LORDtheir God from that day and forward. Chap. 39, Verse 22,[EZE].

And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel wentinto captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassedagainst me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gavethem into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all bythe sword. Chap. 39, Verse 23, [EZE].

According to their uncleanness and according to theirtransgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face fromthem. Chap. 39, Verse 24, [EZE].

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring againthe captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole houseof Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name; Chap. 39,Verse 25, [EZE].

After that they have borne their shame, and all theirtrespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, whenthey dwelt safely in their land, and none made [them]afraid. Chap. 39, Verse 26, [EZE].

When I have brought them again from the people, andgathered them out of their enemies' lands, and amsanctified in them in the sight of many nations; Chap. 39,Verse 27, [EZE].

Then shall they know that I [am] the LORD their God, whichcaused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: butI have gathered them unto their own land, and have leftnone of them any more there. Chap. 39, Verse 28, [EZE].

Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have

poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith theLord GOD. Chap. 39, Verse 29, [EZE].

In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, in thebeginning of the year, in the tenth [day] of the month, inthe fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, in theselfsame day the hand of the LORD was upon me, and broughtme thither. Chap. 40, Verse 1, [EZE].

In the visions of God brought he me into the land ofIsrael, and set me upon a very high mountain, by which[was] as the frame of a city on the south. Chap. 40, Verse2, [EZE].

And he brought me thither, and, behold, [there was] a man,whose appearance [was] like the appearance of brass, with aline of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed; and hestood in the gate. Chap. 40, Verse 3, [EZE].

And the man said unto me, Son of man, behold with thineeyes, and hear with thine ears, and set thine heart uponall that I shall shew thee; for to the intent that I mightshew [them] unto thee [art] thou brought hither: declareall that thou seest to the house of Israel. Chap. 40,Verse 4, [EZE].

And behold a wall on the outside of the house round about,and in the man's hand a measuring reed of six cubits [long]by the cubit and an hand breadth: so he measured thebreadth of the building, one reed; and the height, onereed. Chap. 40, Verse 5, [EZE].

Then came he unto the gate which looketh toward the east,and went up the stairs thereof, and measured the thresholdof the gate, [which was] one reed broad; and the otherthreshold [of the gate, which was] one reed broad. Chap.40, Verse 6, [EZE].

And [every] little chamber [was] one reed long, and onereed broad; and between the little chambers [were] fivecubits; and the threshold of the gate by the porch of thegate within [was] one reed. Chap. 40, Verse 7, [EZE].

He measured also the porch of the gate within, one reed.Chap. 40, Verse 8, [EZE].

Then measured he the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and

the posts thereof, two cubits; and the porch of the gate[was] inward. Chap. 40, Verse 9, [EZE].

And the little chambers of the gate eastward [were] threeon this side, and three on that side; they three [were] ofone measure: and the posts had one measure on this side andon that side. Chap. 40, Verse 10, [EZE].

And he measured the breadth of the entry of the gate, tencubits; [and] the length of the gate, thirteen cubits.Chap. 40, Verse 11, [EZE].

The space also before the little chambers [was] one cubit[on this side], and the space [was] one cubit on that side:and the little chambers [were] six cubits on this side, andsix cubits on that side. Chap. 40, Verse 12, [EZE].

He measured then the gate from the roof of [one] littlechamber to the roof of another: the breadth [was] five andtwenty cubits, door against door. Chap. 40, Verse 13,[EZE].

He made also posts of threescore cubits, even unto thepost of the court round about the gate. Chap. 40, Verse14, [EZE].

And from the face of the gate of the entrance unto theface of the porch of the inner gate [were] fifty cubits.Chap. 40, Verse 15, [EZE].

And [there were] narrow windows to the little chambers,and to their posts within the gate round about, andlikewise to the arches: and windows [were] round aboutinward: and upon [each] post [were] palm trees. Chap. 40,Verse 16, [EZE].

Then brought he me into the outward court, and, lo, [therewere] chambers, and a pavement made for the court roundabout: thirty chambers [were] upon the pavement. Chap. 40,Verse 17, [EZE].

And the pavement by the side of the gates over against thelength of the gates [was] the lower pavement. Chap. 40,Verse 18, [EZE].

Then he measured the breadth from the forefront of thelower gate unto the forefront of the inner court without,

an hundred cubits eastward and northward. Chap. 40, Verse19, [EZE].

And the gate of the outward court that looked toward thenorth, he measured the length thereof, and the breadththereof. Chap. 40, Verse 20, [EZE].

And the little chambers thereof [were] three on this sideand three on that side; and the posts thereof and thearches thereof were after the measure of the first gate:the length thereof [was] fifty cubits, and the breadth fiveand twenty cubits. Chap. 40, Verse 21, [EZE].

And their windows, and their arches, and their palm trees,[were] after the measure of the gate that looketh towardthe east; and they went up unto it by seven steps; and thearches thereof [were] before them. Chap. 40, Verse 22,[EZE].

And the gate of the inner court [was] over against thegate toward the north, and toward the east; and he measuredfrom gate to gate an hundred cubits. Chap. 40, Verse 23,[EZE].

After that he brought me toward the south, and behold agate toward the south: and he measured the posts thereofand the arches thereof according to these measures. Chap.40, Verse 24, [EZE].

And [there were] windows in it and in the arches thereofround about, like those windows: the length [was] fiftycubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits. Chap. 40,Verse 25, [EZE].

And [there were] seven steps to go up to it, and thearches thereof [were] before them: and it had palm trees,one on this side, and another on that side, upon the poststhereof. Chap. 40, Verse 26, [EZE].

And [there was] a gate in the inner court toward thesouth: and he measured from gate to gate toward the southan hundred cubits. Chap. 40, Verse 27, [EZE].

And he brought me to the inner court by the south gate:and he measured the south gate according to these measures;Chap. 40, Verse 28, [EZE].

And the little chambers thereof, and the posts thereof,and the arches thereof, according to these measures: and[there were] windows in it and in the arches thereof roundabout: [it was] fifty cubits long, and five and twentycubits broad. Chap. 40, Verse 29, [EZE].

And the arches round about [were] five and twenty cubitslong, and five cubits broad. Chap. 40, Verse 30, [EZE].

And the arches thereof [were] toward the utter court; andpalm trees [were] upon the posts thereof: and the going upto it [had] eight steps. Chap. 40, Verse 31, [EZE].

And he brought me into the inner court toward the east:and he measured the gate according to these measures.Chap. 40, Verse 32, [EZE].

And the little chambers thereof, and the posts thereof,and the arches thereof, [were] according to these measures:and [there were] windows therein and in the arches thereofround about: [it was] fifty cubits long, and five andtwenty cubits broad. Chap. 40, Verse 33, [EZE].

And the arches thereof [were] toward the outward court;and palm trees [were] upon the posts thereof, on this side,and on that side: and the going up to it [had] eight steps.Chap. 40, Verse 34, [EZE].

And he brought me to the north gate, and measured [it]according to these measures; Chap. 40, Verse 35, [EZE].

The little chambers thereof, the posts thereof, and thearches thereof, and the windows to it round about: thelength [was] fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twentycubits. Chap. 40, Verse 36, [EZE].

And the posts thereof [were] toward the utter court; andpalm trees [were] upon the posts thereof, on this side, andon that side: and the going up to it [had] eight steps.Chap. 40, Verse 37, [EZE].

And the chambers and the entries thereof [were] by theposts of the gates, where they washed the burnt offering.Chap. 40, Verse 38, [EZE].

And in the porch of the gate [were] two tables on thisside, and two tables on that side, to slay thereon the

burnt offering and the sin offering and the trespassoffering. Chap. 40, Verse 39, [EZE].

And at the side without, as one goeth up to the entry ofthe north gate, [were] two tables; and on the other side,which [was] at the porch of the gate, [were] two tables.Chap. 40, Verse 40, [EZE].

Four tables [were] on this side, and four tables on thatside, by the side of the gate; eight tables, whereupon theyslew [their sacrifices]. Chap. 40, Verse 41, [EZE].

And the four tables [were] of hewn stone for the burntoffering, of a cubit and an half long, and a cubit and anhalf broad, and one cubit high: whereupon also they laidthe instruments wherewith they slew the burnt offering andthe sacrifice. Chap. 40, Verse 42, [EZE].

And within [were] hooks, an hand broad, fastened roundabout: and upon the tables [was] the flesh of the offering.Chap. 40, Verse 43, [EZE].

And without the inner gate [were] the chambers of thesingers in the inner court, which [was] at the side of thenorth gate; and their prospect [was] toward the south: oneat the side of the east gate [having] the prospect towardthe north. Chap. 40, Verse 44, [EZE].

And he said unto me, This chamber, whose prospect [is]toward the south, [is] for the priests, the keepers of thecharge of the house. Chap. 40, Verse 45, [EZE].

And the chamber whose prospect [is] toward the north [is]for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the altar:these [are] the sons of Zadok among the sons of Levi, whichcome near to the LORD to minister unto him. Chap. 40,Verse 46, [EZE].

So he measured the court, an hundred cubits long, and anhundred cubits broad, foursquare; and the altar [that was]before the house. Chap. 40, Verse 47, [EZE].

And he brought me to the porch of the house, and measured[each] post of the porch, five cubits on this side, andfive cubits on that side: and the breadth of the gate [was]three cubits on this side, and three cubits on that side.Chap. 40, Verse 48, [EZE].

The length of the porch [was] twenty cubits, and thebreadth eleven cubits; and [he brought me] by the stepswhereby they went up to it: and [there were] pillars by theposts, one on this side, and another on that side. Chap.40, Verse 49, [EZE].

Afterward he brought me to the temple, and measured theposts, six cubits broad on the one side, and six cubitsbroad on the other side, [which was] the breadth of thetabernacle. Chap. 41, Verse 1, [EZE].

And the breadth of the door [was] ten cubits: and thesides of the door [were] five cubits on the one side, andfive cubits on the other side: and he measured the lengththereof, forty cubits: and the breadth, twenty cubits.Chap. 41, Verse 2, [EZE].

Then went he inward, and measured the post of the door,two cubits; and the door, six cubits; and the breadth ofthe door, seven cubits. Chap. 41, Verse 3, [EZE].

So he measured the length thereof, twenty cubits; and thebreadth, twenty cubits, before the temple: and he said untome, This [is] the most holy [place]. Chap. 41, Verse 4,[EZE].

After he measured the wall of the house, six cubits; andthe breadth of [every] side chamber, four cubits, roundabout the house on every side. Chap. 41, Verse 5, [EZE].

And the side chambers [were] three, one over another, andthirty in order; and they entered into the wall which [was]of the house for the side chambers round about, that theymight have hold, but they had not hold in the wall of thehouse. Chap. 41, Verse 6, [EZE].

And [there was] an enlarging, and a winding about stillupward to the side chambers: for the winding about of thehouse went still upward round about the house: thereforethe breadth of the house [was still] upward, and soincreased [from] the lowest [chamber] to the highest by themidst. Chap. 41, Verse 7, [EZE].

I saw also the height of the house round about: thefoundations of the side chambers [were] a full reed of sixgreat cubits. Chap. 41, Verse 8, [EZE].

The thickness of the wall, which [was] for the sidechamber without, [was] five cubits: and [that] which [was]left [was] the place of the side chambers that [were]within. Chap. 41, Verse 9, [EZE].

And between the chambers [was] the wideness of twentycubits round about the house on every side. Chap. 41,Verse 10, [EZE].

And the doors of the side chambers [were] toward [theplace that was] left, one door toward the north, andanother door toward the south: and the breadth of the placethat was left [was] five cubits round about. Chap. 41,Verse 11, [EZE].

Now the building that [was] before the separate place atthe end toward the west [was] seventy cubits broad; and thewall of the building [was] five cubits thick round about,and the length thereof ninety cubits. Chap. 41, Verse 12,[EZE].

So he measured the house, an hundred cubits long; and theseparate place, and the building, with the walls thereof,an hundred cubits long; Chap. 41, Verse 13, [EZE].

Also the breadth of the face of the house, and of theseparate place toward the east, an hundred cubits. Chap.41, Verse 14, [EZE].

And he measured the length of the building over againstthe separate place which [was] behind it, and the galleriesthereof on the one side and on the other side, an hundredcubits, with the inner temple, and the porches of thecourt; Chap. 41, Verse 15, [EZE].

The door posts, and the narrow windows, and the galleriesround about on their three stories, over against the door,ceiled with wood round about, and from the ground up to thewindows, and the windows [were] covered; Chap. 41, Verse16, [EZE].

To that above the door, even unto the inner house, andwithout, and by all the wall round about within andwithout, by measure. Chap. 41, Verse 17, [EZE].

And [it was] made with cherubims and palm trees, so that a

palm tree [was] between a cherub and a cherub; and [every]cherub had two faces; Chap. 41, Verse 18, [EZE].

So that the face of a man [was] toward the palm tree onthe one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palmtree on the other side: [it was] made through all the houseround about. Chap. 41, Verse 19, [EZE].

From the ground unto above the door [were] cherubims andpalm trees made, and [on] the wall of the temple. Chap.41, Verse 20, [EZE].

The posts of the temple [were] squared, [and] the face ofthe sanctuary; the appearance [of the one] as theappearance [of the other]. Chap. 41, Verse 21, [EZE].

The altar of wood [was] three cubits high, and the lengththereof two cubits; and the corners thereof, and the lengththereof, and the walls thereof, [were] of wood: and he saidunto me, This [is] the table that [is] before the LORD.Chap. 41, Verse 22, [EZE].

And the temple and the sanctuary had two doors. Chap. 41,Verse 23, [EZE].

And the doors had two leaves [apiece], two turning leaves;two [leaves] for the one door, and two leaves for the other[door]. Chap. 41, Verse 24, [EZE].

And [there were] made on them, on the doors of the temple,cherubims and palm trees, like as [were] made upon thewalls; and [there were] thick planks upon the face of theporch without. Chap. 41, Verse 25, [EZE].

And [there were] narrow windows and palm trees on the oneside and on the other side, on the sides of the porch, and[upon] the side chambers of the house, and thick planks.Chap. 41, Verse 26, [EZE].

Then he brought me forth into the utter court, the waytoward the north: and he brought me into the chamber that[was] over against the separate place, and which [was]before the building toward the north. Chap. 42, Verse 1,[EZE].

Before the length of an hundred cubits [was] the northdoor, and the breadth [was] fifty cubits. Chap. 42, Verse

2, [EZE].

Over against the twenty [cubits] which [were] for theinner court, and over against the pavement which [was] forthe utter court, [was] gallery against gallery in three[stories]. Chap. 42, Verse 3, [EZE].

And before the chambers [was] a walk of ten cubits breadthinward, a way of one cubit; and their doors toward thenorth. Chap. 42, Verse 4, [EZE].

Now the upper chambers [were] shorter: for the gallerieswere higher than these, than the lower, and than themiddlemost of the building. Chap. 42, Verse 5, [EZE].

For they [were] in three [stories], but had not pillars asthe pillars of the courts: therefore [the building] wasstraitened more than the lowest and the middlemost from theground. Chap. 42, Verse 6, [EZE].

And the wall that [was] without over against the chambers,toward the utter court on the forepart of the chambers, thelength thereof [was] fifty cubits. Chap. 42, Verse 7,[EZE].

For the length of the chambers that [were] in the uttercourt [was] fifty cubits: and, lo, before the temple [were]an hundred cubits. Chap. 42, Verse 8, [EZE].

And from under these chambers [was] the entry on the eastside, as one goeth into them from the utter court. Chap.42, Verse 9, [EZE].

The chambers [were] in the thickness of the wall of thecourt toward the east, over against the separate place, andover against the building. Chap. 42, Verse 10, [EZE].

And the way before them [was] like the appearance of thechambers which [were] toward the north, as long as they,[and] as broad as they: and all their goings out [were]both according to their fashions, and according to theirdoors. Chap. 42, Verse 11, [EZE].

And according to the doors of the chambers that [were]toward the south [was] a door in the head of the way,[even] the way directly before the wall toward the east, asone entereth into them. Chap. 42, Verse 12, [EZE].

Then said he unto me, The north chambers [and] the southchambers, which [are] before the separate place, they [be]holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto theLORD shall eat the most holy things: there shall they laythe most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sinoffering, and the trespass offering; for the place [is]holy. Chap. 42, Verse 13, [EZE].

When the priests enter therein, then shall they not go outof the holy [place] into the utter court, but there theyshall lay their garments wherein they minister; for they[are] holy; and shall put on other garments, and shallapproach to [those things] which [are] for the people.Chap. 42, Verse 14, [EZE].

Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house,he brought me forth toward the gate whose prospect [is]toward the east, and measured it round about. Chap. 42,Verse 15, [EZE].

He measured the east side with the measuring reed, fivehundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about. Chap.42, Verse 16, [EZE].

He measured the north side, five hundred reeds, with themeasuring reed round about. Chap. 42, Verse 17, [EZE].

He measured the south side, five hundred reeds, with themeasuring reed. Chap. 42, Verse 18, [EZE].

He turned about to the west side, [and] measured fivehundred reeds with the measuring reed. Chap. 42, Verse 19,[EZE].

He measured it by the four sides: it had a wall roundabout, five hundred [reeds] long, and five hundred broad,to make a separation between the sanctuary and the profaneplace. Chap. 42, Verse 20, [EZE].

Afterward he brought me to the gate, [even] the gate thatlooketh toward the east: Chap. 43, Verse 1, [EZE].

And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from theway of the east: and his voice [was] like a noise of manywaters: and the earth shined with his glory. Chap. 43,Verse 2, [EZE].

And [it was] according to the appearance of the visionwhich I saw, [even] according to the vision that I saw whenI came to destroy the city: and the visions [were] like thevision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon myface. Chap. 43, Verse 3, [EZE].

And the glory of the LORD came into the house by the wayof the gate whose prospect [is] toward the east. Chap. 43,Verse 4, [EZE].

So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the innercourt; and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house.Chap. 43, Verse 5, [EZE].

And I heard [him] speaking unto me out of the house; andthe man stood by me. Chap. 43, Verse 6, [EZE].

And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne,and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwellin the midst of the children of Israel for ever, and myholy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile,[neither] they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor bythe carcases of their kings in their high places. Chap.43, Verse 7, [EZE].

In their setting of their threshold by my thresholds, andtheir post by my posts, and the wall between me and them,they have even defiled my holy name by their abominationsthat they have committed: wherefore I have consumed them inmine anger. Chap. 43, Verse 8, [EZE].

Now let them put away their whoredom, and the carcases oftheir kings, far from me, and I will dwell in the midst ofthem for ever. Chap. 43, Verse 9, [EZE].

Thou son of man, shew the house to the house of Israel,that they may be ashamed of their iniquities: and let themmeasure the pattern. Chap. 43, Verse 10, [EZE].

And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shewthem the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, andthe goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and allthe forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and allthe forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write [it]in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof,and all the ordinances thereof, and do them. Chap. 43,

Verse 11, [EZE].

This [is] the law of the house; Upon the top of themountain the whole limit thereof round about [shall be]most holy. Behold, this [is] the law of the house. Chap.43, Verse 12, [EZE].

And these [are] the measures of the altar after thecubits: The cubit [is] a cubit and an hand breadth; eventhe bottom [shall be] a cubit, and the breadth a cubit, andthe border thereof by the edge thereof round about [shallbe] a span: and this [shall be] the higher place of thealtar. Chap. 43, Verse 13, [EZE].

And from the bottom [upon] the ground [even] to the lowersettle [shall be] two cubits, and the breadth one cubit;and from the lesser settle [even] to the greater settle[shall be] four cubits, and the breadth [one] cubit. Chap.43, Verse 14, [EZE].

So the altar [shall be] four cubits; and from the altarand upward [shall be] four horns. Chap. 43, Verse 15,[EZE].

And the altar [shall be] twelve [cubits] long, twelvebroad, square in the four squares thereof. Chap. 43, Verse16, [EZE].

And the settle [shall be] fourteen [cubits] long andfourteen broad in the four squares thereof; and the borderabout it [shall be] half a cubit; and the bottom thereof[shall be] a cubit about; and his stairs shall look towardthe east. Chap. 43, Verse 17, [EZE].

And he said unto me, Son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD;These [are] the ordinances of the altar in the day whenthey shall make it, to offer burnt offerings thereon, andto sprinkle blood thereon. Chap. 43, Verse 18, [EZE].

And thou shalt give to the priests the Levites that be ofthe seed of Zadok, which approach unto me, to minister untome, saith the Lord GOD, a young bullock for a sin offering.Chap. 43, Verse 19, [EZE].

And thou shalt take of the blood thereof, and put [it] onthe four horns of it, and on the four corners of thesettle, and upon the border round about: thus shalt thou

cleanse and purge it. Chap. 43, Verse 20, [EZE].

Thou shalt take the bullock also of the sin offering, andhe shall burn it in the appointed place of the house,without the sanctuary. Chap. 43, Verse 21, [EZE].

And on the second day thou shalt offer a kid of the goatswithout blemish for a sin offering; and they shall cleansethe altar, as they did cleanse [it] with the bullock.Chap. 43, Verse 22, [EZE].

When thou hast made an end of cleansing [it], thou shaltoffer a young bullock without blemish, and a ram out of theflock without blemish. Chap. 43, Verse 23, [EZE].

And thou shalt offer them before the LORD, and the priestsshall cast salt upon them, and they shall offer them up[for] a burnt offering unto the LORD. Chap. 43, Verse 24,[EZE].

Seven days shalt thou prepare every day a goat [for] a sinoffering: they shall also prepare a young bullock, and aram out of the flock, without blemish. Chap. 43, Verse 25,[EZE].

Seven days shall they purge the altar and purify it; andthey shall consecrate themselves. Chap. 43, Verse 26,[EZE].

And when these days are expired, it shall be, [that] uponthe eighth day, and [so] forward, the priests shall makeyour burnt offerings upon the altar, and your peaceofferings; and I will accept you, saith the Lord GOD.Chap. 43, Verse 27, [EZE].

Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outwardsanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it [was] shut.Chap. 44, Verse 1, [EZE].

Then said the LORD unto me; This gate shall be shut, itshall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it;because the LORD, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it,therefore it shall be shut. Chap. 44, Verse 2, [EZE].

[It is] for the prince; the prince, he shall sit in it toeat bread before the LORD; he shall enter by the way of theporch of [that] gate, and shall go out by the way of the

same. Chap. 44, Verse 3, [EZE].

Then brought he me the way of the north gate before thehouse: and I looked, and, behold, the glory of the LORDfilled the house of the LORD: and I fell upon my face.Chap. 44, Verse 4, [EZE].

And the LORD said unto me, Son of man, mark well, andbehold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears all that Isay unto thee concerning all the ordinances of the house ofthe LORD, and all the laws thereof; and mark well theentering in of the house, with every going forth of thesanctuary. Chap. 44, Verse 5, [EZE].

And thou shalt say to the rebellious, [even] to the houseof Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O ye house of Israel,let it suffice you of all your abominations, Chap. 44,Verse 6, [EZE].

In that ye have brought [into my sanctuary] strangers,uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to bein my sanctuary, to pollute it, [even] my house, when yeoffer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have brokenmy covenant because of all your abominations. Chap. 44,Verse 7, [EZE].

And ye have not kept the charge of mine holy things: butye have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary foryourselves. Chap. 44, Verse 8, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; No stranger, uncircumcised inheart, nor uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into mysanctuary, of any stranger that [is] among the children ofIsrael. Chap. 44, Verse 9, [EZE].

And the Levites that are gone away far from me, whenIsrael went astray, which went astray away from me aftertheir idols; they shall even bear their iniquity. Chap.44, Verse 10, [EZE].

Yet they shall be ministers in my sanctuary, [having]charge at the gates of the house, and ministering to thehouse: they shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrificefor the people, and they shall stand before them tominister unto them. Chap. 44, Verse 11, [EZE].

Because they ministered unto them before their idols, and

caused the house of Israel to fall into iniquity; thereforehave I lifted up mine hand against them, saith the LordGOD, and they shall bear their iniquity. Chap. 44, Verse12, [EZE].

And they shall not come near unto me, to do the office ofa priest unto me, nor to come near to any of my holythings, in the most holy [place]: but they shall bear theirshame, and their abominations which they have committed.Chap. 44, Verse 13, [EZE].

But I will make them keepers of the charge of the house,for all the service thereof, and for all that shall be donetherein. Chap. 44, Verse 14, [EZE].

But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that keptthe charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel wentastray from me, they shall come near to me to minister untome, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fatand the blood, saith the Lord GOD: Chap. 44, Verse 15,[EZE].

They shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall comenear to my table, to minister unto me, and they shall keepmy charge. Chap. 44, Verse 16, [EZE].

And it shall come to pass, [that] when they enter in atthe gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed withlinen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, whilesthey minister in the gates of the inner court, and within.Chap. 44, Verse 17, [EZE].

They shall have linen bonnets upon their heads, and shallhave linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird[themselves] with any thing that causeth sweat. Chap. 44,Verse 18, [EZE].

And when they go forth into the utter court, [even] intothe utter court to the people, they shall put off theirgarments wherein they ministered, and lay them in the holychambers, and they shall put on other garments; and theyshall not sanctify the people with their garments. Chap.44, Verse 19, [EZE].

Neither shall they shave their heads, nor suffer theirlocks to grow long; they shall only poll their heads.Chap. 44, Verse 20, [EZE].

Neither shall any priest drink wine, when they enter intothe inner court. Chap. 44, Verse 21, [EZE].

Neither shall they take for their wives a widow, nor herthat is put away: but they shall take maidens of the seedof the house of Israel, or a widow that had a priestbefore. Chap. 44, Verse 22, [EZE].

And they shall teach my people [the difference] betweenthe holy and profane, and cause them to discern between theunclean and the clean. Chap. 44, Verse 23, [EZE].

And in controversy they shall stand in judgment; [and]they shall judge it according to my judgments: and theyshall keep my laws and my statutes in all mine assemblies;and they shall hallow my sabbaths. Chap. 44, Verse 24,[EZE].

And they shall come at no dead person to defilethemselves: but for father, or for mother, or for son, orfor daughter, for brother, or for sister that hath had nohusband, they may defile themselves. Chap. 44, Verse 25,[EZE].

And after he is cleansed, they shall reckon unto him sevendays. Chap. 44, Verse 26, [EZE].

And in the day that he goeth into the sanctuary, unto theinner court, to minister in the sanctuary, he shall offerhis sin offering, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 44, Verse 27,[EZE].

And it shall be unto them for an inheritance: I [am] theirinheritance: and ye shall give them no possession inIsrael: I [am] their possession. Chap. 44, Verse 28,[EZE].

They shall eat the meat offering, and the sin offering,and the trespass offering: and every dedicated thing inIsrael shall be theirs. Chap. 44, Verse 29, [EZE].

And the first of all the firstfruits of all [things], andevery oblation of all, of every [sort] of your oblations,shall be the priest's: ye shall also give unto the priestthe first of your dough, that he may cause the blessing torest in thine house. Chap. 44, Verse 30, [EZE].

The priests shall not eat of any thing that is dead ofitself, or torn, whether it be fowl or beast. Chap. 44,Verse 31, [EZE].

Moreover, when ye shall divide by lot the land forinheritance, ye shall offer an oblation unto the LORD, anholy portion of the land: the length [shall be] the lengthof five and twenty thousand [reeds], and the breadth [shallbe] ten thousand. This [shall be] holy in all the bordersthereof round about. Chap. 45, Verse 1, [EZE].

Of this there shall be for the sanctuary five hundred [inlength], with five hundred [in breadth], square roundabout; and fifty cubits round about for the suburbsthereof. Chap. 45, Verse 2, [EZE].

And of this measure shalt thou measure the length of fiveand twenty thousand, and the breadth of ten thousand: andin it shall be the sanctuary [and] the most holy [place].Chap. 45, Verse 3, [EZE].

The holy [portion] of the land shall be for the prieststhe ministers of the sanctuary, which shall come near tominister unto the LORD: and it shall be a place for theirhouses, and an holy place for the sanctuary. Chap. 45,Verse 4, [EZE].

And the five and twenty thousand of length, and the tenthousand of breadth, shall also the Levites, the ministersof the house, have for themselves, for a possession fortwenty chambers. Chap. 45, Verse 5, [EZE].

And ye shall appoint the possession of the city fivethousand broad, and five and twenty thousand long, overagainst the oblation of the holy [portion]: it shall be forthe whole house of Israel. Chap. 45, Verse 6, [EZE].

And a [portion shall be] for the prince on the one sideand on the other side of the oblation of the holy[portion], and of the possession of the city, before theoblation of the holy [portion], and before the possessionof the city, from the west side westward, and from the eastside eastward: and the length [shall be] over against oneof the portions, from the west border unto the east border.Chap. 45, Verse 7, [EZE].

In the land shall be his possession in Israel: and myprinces shall no more oppress my people; and [the rest of]the land shall they give to the house of Israel accordingto their tribes. Chap. 45, Verse 8, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Let it suffice you, O princes ofIsrael: remove violence and spoil, and execute judgment andjustice, take away your exactions from my people, saith theLord GOD. Chap. 45, Verse 9, [EZE].

Ye shall have just balances, and a just ephah, and a justbath. Chap. 45, Verse 10, [EZE].

The ephah and the bath shall be of one measure, that thebath may contain the tenth part of an homer, and the ephahthe tenth part of an homer: the measure thereof shall beafter the homer. Chap. 45, Verse 11, [EZE].

And the shekel [shall be] twenty gerahs: twenty shekels,five and twenty shekels, fifteen shekels, shall be yourmaneh. Chap. 45, Verse 12, [EZE].

This [is] the oblation that ye shall offer; the sixth partof an ephah of an homer of wheat, and ye shall give thesixth part of an ephah of an homer of barley: Chap. 45,Verse 13, [EZE].

Concerning the ordinance of oil, the bath of oil, [yeshall offer] the tenth part of a bath out of the cor,[which is] an homer of ten baths; for ten baths [are] anhomer: Chap. 45, Verse 14, [EZE].

And one lamb out of the flock, out of two hundred, out ofthe fat pastures of Israel; for a meat offering, and for aburnt offering, and for peace offerings, to makereconciliation for them, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 45,Verse 15, [EZE].

All the people of the land shall give this oblation forthe prince in Israel. Chap. 45, Verse 16, [EZE].

And it shall be the prince's part [to give] burntofferings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in thefeasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in allsolemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare thesin offering, and the meat offering, and the burntoffering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation

for the house of Israel. Chap. 45, Verse 17, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the first [month], in thefirst [day] of the month, thou shalt take a young bullockwithout blemish, and cleanse the sanctuary: Chap. 45,Verse 18, [EZE].

And the priest shall take of the blood of the sinoffering, and put [it] upon the posts of the house, andupon the four corners of the settle of the altar, and uponthe posts of the gate of the inner court. Chap. 45, Verse19, [EZE].

And so thou shalt do the seventh [day] of the month forevery one that erreth, and for [him that is] simple: soshall ye reconcile the house. Chap. 45, Verse 20, [EZE].

In the first [month], in the fourteenth day of the month,ye shall have the passover, a feast of seven days;unleavened bread shall be eaten. Chap. 45, Verse 21,[EZE].

And upon that day shall the prince prepare for himself andfor all the people of the land a bullock [for] a sinoffering. Chap. 45, Verse 22, [EZE].

And seven days of the feast he shall prepare a burntoffering to the LORD, seven bullocks and seven rams withoutblemish daily the seven days; and a kid of the goats daily[for] a sin offering. Chap. 45, Verse 23, [EZE].

And he shall prepare a meat offering of an ephah for abullock, and an ephah for a ram, and an hin of oil for anephah. Chap. 45, Verse 24, [EZE].

In the seventh [month], in the fifteenth day of the month,shall he do the like in the feast of the seven days,according to the sin offering, according to the burntoffering, and according to the meat offering, and accordingto the oil. Chap. 45, Verse 25, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; The gate of the inner court thatlooketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days;but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day ofthe new moon it shall be opened. Chap. 46, Verse 1, [EZE].

And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of

[that] gate without, and shall stand by the post of thegate, and the priests shall prepare his burnt offering andhis peace offerings, and he shall worship at the thresholdof the gate: then he shall go forth; but the gate shall notbe shut until the evening. Chap. 46, Verse 2, [EZE].

Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the doorof this gate before the LORD in the sabbaths and in the newmoons. Chap. 46, Verse 3, [EZE].

And the burnt offering that the prince shall offer untothe LORD in the sabbath day [shall be] six lambs withoutblemish, and a ram without blemish. Chap. 46, Verse 4,[EZE].

And the meat offering [shall be] an ephah for a ram, andthe meat offering for the lambs as he shall be able togive, and an hin of oil to an ephah. Chap. 46, Verse 5,[EZE].

And in the day of the new moon [it shall be] a youngbullock without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram: theyshall be without blemish. Chap. 46, Verse 6, [EZE].

And he shall prepare a meat offering, an ephah for abullock, and an ephah for a ram, and for the lambsaccording as his hand shall attain unto, and an hin of oilto an ephah. Chap. 46, Verse 7, [EZE].

And when the prince shall enter, he shall go in by the wayof the porch of [that] gate, and he shall go forth by theway thereof. Chap. 46, Verse 8, [EZE].

But when the people of the land shall come before the LORDin the solemn feasts, he that entereth in by the way of thenorth gate to worship shall go out by the way of the southgate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gateshall go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall notreturn by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shallgo forth over against it. Chap. 46, Verse 9, [EZE].

And the prince in the midst of them, when they go in,shall go in; and when they go forth, shall go forth. Chap.46, Verse 10, [EZE].

And in the feasts and in the solemnities the meat offeringshall be an ephah to a bullock, and an ephah to a ram, and

to the lambs as he is able to give, and an hin of oil to anephah. Chap. 46, Verse 11, [EZE].

Now when the prince shall prepare a voluntary burntoffering or peace offerings voluntarily unto the LORD,[one] shall then open him the gate that looketh toward theeast, and he shall prepare his burnt offering and his peaceofferings, as he did on the sabbath day: then he shall goforth; and after his going forth [one] shall shut the gate.Chap. 46, Verse 12, [EZE].

Thou shalt daily prepare a burnt offering unto the LORD[of] a lamb of the first year without blemish: thou shaltprepare it every morning. Chap. 46, Verse 13, [EZE].

And thou shalt prepare a meat offering for it everymorning, the sixth part of an ephah, and the third part ofan hin of oil, to temper with the fine flour; a meatoffering continually by a perpetual ordinance unto theLORD. Chap. 46, Verse 14, [EZE].

Thus shall they prepare the lamb, and the meat offering,and the oil, every morning [for] a continual burntoffering. Chap. 46, Verse 15, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; If the prince give a gift untoany of his sons, the inheritance thereof shall be hissons'; it [shall be] their possession by inheritance.Chap. 46, Verse 16, [EZE].

But if he give a gift of his inheritance to one of hisservants, then it shall be his to the year of liberty;after it shall return to the prince: but his inheritanceshall be his sons' for them. Chap. 46, Verse 17, [EZE].

Moreover the prince shall not take of the people'sinheritance by oppression, to thrust them out of theirpossession; [but] he shall give his sons inheritance out ofhis own possession: that my people be not scattered everyman from his possession. Chap. 46, Verse 18, [EZE].

After he brought me through the entry, which [was] at theside of the gate, into the holy chambers of the priests,which looked toward the north: and, behold, there [was] aplace on the two sides westward. Chap. 46, Verse 19,[EZE].

Then said he unto me, This [is] the place where thepriests shall boil the trespass offering and the sinoffering, where they shall bake the meat offering; thatthey bear [them] not out into the utter court, to sanctifythe people. Chap. 46, Verse 20, [EZE].

Then he brought me forth into the utter court, and causedme to pass by the four corners of the court; and, behold,in every corner of the court [there was] a court. Chap.46, Verse 21, [EZE].

In the four corners of the court [there were] courtsjoined of forty [cubits] long and thirty broad: these fourcorners [were] of one measure. Chap. 46, Verse 22, [EZE].

And [there was] a row [of building] round about in them,round about them four, and [it was] made with boilingplaces under the rows round about. Chap. 46, Verse 23,[EZE].

Then said he unto me, These [are] the places of them thatboil, where the ministers of the house shall boil thesacrifice of the people. Chap. 46, Verse 24, [EZE].

Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house;and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold ofthe house eastward: for the forefront of the house [stoodtoward] the east, and the waters came down from under fromthe right side of the house, at the south [side] of thealtar. Chap. 47, Verse 1, [EZE].

Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward,and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by theway that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran outwaters on the right side. Chap. 47, Verse 2, [EZE].

And when the man that had the line in his hand went fortheastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought methrough the waters; the waters [were] to the ankles. Chap.47, Verse 3, [EZE].

Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through thewaters; the waters [were] to the knees. Again he measured athousand, and brought me through; the waters [were] to theloins. Chap. 47, Verse 4, [EZE].

Afterward he measured a thousand; [and it was] a river

that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen,waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.Chap. 47, Verse 5, [EZE].

And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen [this]?Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink ofthe river. Chap. 47, Verse 6, [EZE].

Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river[were] very many trees on the one side and on the other.Chap. 47, Verse 7, [EZE].

Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward theeast country, and go down into the desert, and go into thesea: [which being] brought forth into the sea, the watersshall be healed. Chap. 47, Verse 8, [EZE].

And it shall come to pass, [that] every thing that liveth,which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shalllive: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish,because these waters shall come thither: for they shall behealed; and every thing shall live whither the rivercometh. Chap. 47, Verse 9, [EZE].

And it shall come to pass, [that] the fishers shall standupon it from En-gedi even unto En-eglaim; they shall be a[place] to spread forth nets; their fish shall be accordingto their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceedingmany. Chap. 47, Verse 10, [EZE].

But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shallnot be healed; they shall be given to salt. Chap. 47,Verse 11, [EZE].

And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side andon that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leafshall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof beconsumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to hismonths, because their waters they issued out of thesanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and theleaf thereof for medicine. Chap. 47, Verse 12, [EZE].

Thus saith the Lord GOD; This [shall be] the border,whereby ye shall inherit the land according to the twelvetribes of Israel: Joseph [shall have two] portions. Chap.47, Verse 13, [EZE].

And ye shall inherit it, one as well as another:[concerning] the which I lifted up mine hand to give itunto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you forinheritance. Chap. 47, Verse 14, [EZE].

And this [shall be] the border of the land toward thenorth side, from the great sea, the way of Hethlon, as mengo to Zedad; Chap. 47, Verse 15, [EZE].

Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which [is] between the borderof Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazar-hatticon, which[is] by the coast of Hauran. Chap. 47, Verse 16, [EZE].

And the border from the sea shall be Hazar-enan, theborder of Damascus, and the north northward, and the borderof Hamath. And [this is] the north side. Chap. 47, Verse17, [EZE].

And the east side ye shall measure from Hauran, and fromDamascus, and from Gilead, and from the land of Israel [by]Jordan, from the border unto the east sea. And [this is]the east side. Chap. 47, Verse 18, [EZE].

And the south side southward, from Tamar [even] to thewaters of strife [in] Kadesh, the river to the great sea.And [this is] the south side southward. Chap. 47, Verse19, [EZE].

The west side also [shall be] the great sea from theborder, till a man come over against Hamath. This [is] thewest side. Chap. 47, Verse 20, [EZE].

So shall ye divide this land unto you according to thetribes of Israel. Chap. 47, Verse 21, [EZE].

And it shall come to pass, [that] ye shall divide it bylot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers thatsojourn among you, which shall beget children among you:and they shall be unto you as born in the country among thechildren of Israel; they shall have inheritance with youamong the tribes of Israel. Chap. 47, Verse 22, [EZE].

And it shall come to pass, [that] in what tribe thestranger sojourneth, there shall ye give [him] hisinheritance, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 47, Verse 23,[EZE].

Now these [are] the names of the tribes. From the northend to the coast of the way of Hethlon, as one goeth toHamath, Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus northward, tothe coast of Hamath; for these are his sides east [and]west; a [portion for] Dan. Chap. 48, Verse 1, [EZE].

And by the border of Dan, from the east side unto the westside, a [portion for] Asher. Chap. 48, Verse 2, [EZE].

And by the border of Asher, from the east side even untothe west side, a [portion for] Naphtali. Chap. 48, Verse3, [EZE].

And by the border of Naphtali, from the east side unto thewest side, a [portion for] Manasseh. Chap. 48, Verse 4,[EZE].

And by the border of Manasseh, from the east side unto thewest side, a [portion for] Ephraim. Chap. 48, Verse 5,[EZE].

And by the border of Ephraim, from the east side even untothe west side, a [portion for] Reuben. Chap. 48, Verse 6,[EZE].

And by the border of Reuben, from the east side unto thewest side, a [portion for] Judah. Chap. 48, Verse 7,[EZE].

And by the border of Judah, from the east side unto thewest side, shall be the offering which ye shall offer offive and twenty thousand [reeds in] breadth, and [in]length as one of the [other] parts, from the east side untothe west side: and the sanctuary shall be in the midst ofit. Chap. 48, Verse 8, [EZE].

The oblation that ye shall offer unto the LORD [shall be]of five and twenty thousand in length, and of ten thousandin breadth. Chap. 48, Verse 9, [EZE].

And for them, [even] for the priests, shall be [this] holyoblation; toward the north five and twenty thousand [inlength], and toward the west ten thousand in breadth, andtoward the east ten thousand in breadth, and toward thesouth five and twenty thousand in length: and the sanctuaryof the LORD shall be in the midst thereof. Chap. 48, Verse10, [EZE].

[It shall be] for the priests that are sanctified of thesons of Zadok; which have kept my charge, which went notastray when the children of Israel went astray, as theLevites went astray. Chap. 48, Verse 11, [EZE].

And [this] oblation of the land that is offered shall beunto them a thing most holy by the border of the Levites.Chap. 48, Verse 12, [EZE].

And over against the border of the priests the Levites[shall have] five and twenty thousand in length, and tenthousand in breadth: all the length [shall be] five andtwenty thousand, and the breadth ten thousand. Chap. 48,Verse 13, [EZE].

And they shall not sell of it, neither exchange, noralienate the firstfruits of the land: for [it is] holy untothe LORD. Chap. 48, Verse 14, [EZE].

And the five thousand, that are left in the breadth overagainst the five and twenty thousand, shall be a profane[place] for the city, for dwelling, and for suburbs: andthe city shall be in the midst thereof. Chap. 48, Verse15, [EZE].

And these [shall be] the measures thereof; the north sidefour thousand and five hundred, and the south side fourthousand and five hundred, and on the east side fourthousand and five hundred, and the west side four thousandand five hundred. Chap. 48, Verse 16, [EZE].

And the suburbs of the city shall be toward the north twohundred and fifty, and toward the south two hundred andfifty, and toward the east two hundred and fifty, andtoward the west two hundred and fifty. Chap. 48, Verse 17,[EZE].

And the residue in length over against the oblation of theholy [portion shall be] ten thousand eastward, and tenthousand westward: and it shall be over against theoblation of the holy [portion]; and the increase thereofshall be for food unto them that serve the city. Chap. 48,Verse 18, [EZE].

And they that serve the city shall serve it out of all thetribes of Israel. Chap. 48, Verse 19, [EZE].

All the oblation [shall be] five and twenty thousand byfive and twenty thousand: ye shall offer the holy oblationfoursquare, with the possession of the city. Chap. 48,Verse 20, [EZE].

And the residue [shall be] for the prince, on the one sideand on the other of the holy oblation, and of thepossession of the city, over against the five and twentythousand of the oblation toward the east border, andwestward over against the five and twenty thousand towardthe west border, over against the portions for the prince:and it shall be the holy oblation; and the sanctuary of thehouse [shall be] in the midst thereof. Chap. 48, Verse 21,[EZE].

Moreover from the possession of the Levites, and from thepossession of the city, [being] in the midst [of that]which is the prince's, between the border of Judah and theborder of Benjamin, shall be for the prince. Chap. 48,Verse 22, [EZE].

As for the rest of the tribes, from the east side unto thewest side, Benjamin [shall have] a [portion]. Chap. 48,Verse 23, [EZE].

And by the border of Benjamin, from the east side unto thewest side, Simeon [shall have] a [portion]. Chap. 48,Verse 24, [EZE].

And by the border of Simeon, from the east side unto thewest side, Issachar a [portion]. Chap. 48, Verse 25,[EZE].

And by the border of Issachar, from the east side unto thewest side, Zebulun a [portion]. Chap. 48, Verse 26, [EZE].

And by the border of Zebulun, from the east side unto thewest side, Gad a [portion]. Chap. 48, Verse 27, [EZE].

And by the border of Gad, at the south side southward, theborder shall be even from Tamar [unto] the waters of strife[in] Kadesh, [and] to the river toward the great sea.Chap. 48, Verse 28, [EZE].

This [is] the land which ye shall divide by lot unto thetribes of Israel for inheritance, and these [are] their

portions, saith the Lord GOD. Chap. 48, Verse 29, [EZE].

And these [are] the goings out of the city on the northside, four thousand and five hundred measures. Chap. 48,Verse 30, [EZE].

And the gates of the city [shall be] after the names ofthe tribes of Israel: three gates northward; one gate ofReuben, one gate of Judah, one gate of Levi. Chap. 48,Verse 31, [EZE].

And at the east side four thousand and five hundred: andthree gates; and one gate of Joseph, one gate of Benjamin,one gate of Dan. Chap. 48, Verse 32, [EZE].

And at the south side four thousand and five hundredmeasures: and three gates; one gate of Simeon, one gate ofIssachar, one gate of Zebulun. Chap. 48, Verse 33, [EZE].

At the west side four thousand and five hundred, [with]their three gates; one gate of Gad, one gate of Asher, onegate of Naphtali. Chap. 48, Verse 34, [EZE].

[It was] round about eighteen thousand [measures]: and thename of the city from [that] day [shall be], The LORD [is]there. Chap. 48, Verse 35, [EZE].
