    SERVICE FOR THE LORDS DAY

    November 4, 2012 STEWARDSHIP Month10:00am

    Preparing for Gods WordORGAN PRELUDE: Always Remember Me Blake

    CHORAL INTROIT

    *CALL to WORSHIP Psalm 32

    Let all who are faithful offer prayer to and worship God together!

    For at a time of distress, the rush of mighty waters shall

    not reach us!

    You are a hiding place for us; you preserve us from trouble;

    You surround us with glad cries of deliverence!

    Let us be glad in the Lord God and rejoice;

    Let us shout for joy to the Lord of our Harvest,

    singing songs of love and praise! Come, let us worship together!

    *HYMN #724G Sing to the Lord of Harvest

    *CALL TO and PRAYER of CONFESSION

    Eternal God, we come before you, not to present what ought

    to be inside of us, but to lay before You our messy selves, and

    to tell You our true stories. We have not been good stewards

    or have consistently lived for You, or for the well-being of

    others. Too much of our life is spent in acquisition, and self-gratification. By Your transforming power, free us from self-

    centeredness, and direct our attention and energies towards

    the needs of others. We pray this through Jesus Christ, our

    Lord and Savior, in whose name we now confess silently...

    THE NICENE CREED

    We believe in one God,the Father, the Almighty,maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.

    We believe in our Lord, Jesus Christ,

    the only Son of God,eternally begotten of the Father,God from God, Light from Light,true God from true God,begotten, not made,of one Being with the Father.Through him all things were made.For us and for our salvationhe came down from heaven:

    by the power of the Holy Spirithe became incarnate from the virgin, Mary, and was madehuman.

    For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;he suffered and was buried.

    On the third day he rose againin accordance with the Scriptures;

    he ascended into heavenand is seated at the right hand of the Father.

    He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,and his kingdom will have no end.

    We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord the giver of life,who proceeds from the Father and the Son.With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified.

    he has spoken through the prophets.

    We believe in one holy, catholic and apostolic church.We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.We look for the resurrection of the dead,and the life of the world to come. Amen.

    O magnify the Lord with me,and let us exalt his name together!
