3sHealth.ca 3sHealth: Establishing a centre of excellence When 3sHealth was established six months ago one of its goals was to facilitate transformational change within the province’s health care system. 3sHealth has been investing in expertise so our partners in the health regions and the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency can trust that 3sHealth’s support services are adding value. 3sHealth’s department of Change Management and Performance was created to bring together the areas of change management, project management, Lean management and performance improvement under one portfolio. When asked why this alignment is special, Tony Weeks, Vice President, Change Management and Performance responds, “We are creating a centre of excellence where the processes involved in project management, change management, Lean management and performance measurement are harmonized. By bringing all of these concepts together our goal is to create a standard of excellence. Our partners in the regions can be confident that any initiatives that 3sHealth pursues are backed by these practices.” Currently, the Change Management and Performance team is developing an integrated business model that aligns philosophy, methodology and process.
