AND ALL THINGS SET ASIDE FOR LAST.
SO SAVE AND MAKE PLANS TO ATTEND.
YOU’LL BE SO GLAD YOU CAME IN THE END.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE, AND MAY IT BE A
BLESSED AND HAPPY ONE.
We need to be thankful for our country, and PRAY that our liberties are
not snatched away with all the political smears and hate we are
hearing. We are a very blessed country and should be thankful and
nurture good will and patriotism. Support our
Flag and our Anthem. Now that the beautiful leaves
are falling and the fall harvest is in, it is time to turn
to the holiday preparations. The hustle and bus-
tle excitement of the Holidays are here and it’s time to do shopping,
decorating, baking and so many other preparations. The smell of those
luscious pies, cookies, breads, rolls and other goodies set the
taste buds wanting some of it. Soon we will be enjoying
the turkey or other choice Thanksgiving morsels in the oven
and smell the inviting wafting odors throughout the
house. May you enjoy your family and friends.

Many are also furiously working on last minute holiday projects and ornaments
to sell or give as gifts. If you enter any art shows, BE SURE TO CHECK THE
ART SHOW SCHEDULES AND CRITERIA to enter each show. Every art
show has rules and strict regulations as to deadlines, size limits, hanging rules ,
matts, etc. and must be adhered to or will be disqualified. Many do not allow
glass in the frames now, and wire hanging must be correct. No copies are
allowed of any other’s art work or photos that are infringes of copy writes. It is
so upsetting and disappointing to be rejected.
I want to thank all of you again who have been so kind and thoughtful to send condolence
cards to me. They are much appreciated, you are my painting family and all so special.

CONFERENCE 2019 AND 2020 . ST. SIMONS ISLAND,
GEORGIA. Next Regional Conference will be April 4-8, 2019 … Theme will be
AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS,…..This will be year 29. Meeting
for 2020 will be 30 years and Theme will be HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
CONFERENCE SUBJECTS SELECTED. CLASSES ARE
ALREADY FILLING UP.....HOW EXCITING... There is such a
great variety that you were able to see in the last newsletter and to think
about which classes you would like to paint. Our “BIG BRUSH”,
MARK MENENDEZ, is going to teach again this year. His subjects are
colorful watercolor and color pencils that are exquisite and realistic. A
challenge if you have never tried color pencils before. Our other
qualified teachers have submitted an array of varied subjects and new and
unusual techniques and mediums to learn. Save your pennies and plan to
attend.
Our committee has listened to your suggestions and critique and have
made changes to make it better and run more smoothly. They have had
experience to know what works and what needed to be changed and have made it the best for your pleasure and
experience. We have the most wonderful SE Region that have worked together all these years to make our
Conferences a time of family fun and sharing. There are no strangers, only friends enjoying painting, learning
and most of all fun to be together. We PAINT and eat, PAINT and eat, PAINT and eat, and PAINT some
more. Three delicious buffet meals a day are included in the lodging price, isn’t that great? The hard part is to
leave painting long enough to go and eat, but it is well worth it. You will be receiving committee updates as to
what other wonderful plans that have been put in place for you. Also what to bring for
classes, raffles, country store, costume, weather, and all the personal items so you won’t be
caught lacking or off guard. SO MAKE YOUR PLANS TO ATTEND.
DUES ARE DUE JANUARY 1ST, 2019.
It is not too early to send in 2019 dues before we get caught up in holiday preparation
and planning. We have kept the low dues of $25 for many years so you can remain
an active member. Please mark the check “Dues 2019.

CIRCLE OF CONCERN We continue to think of our friend, Emogene Wallace Hardy and pray for her comfort.
Our prayers go out to those in the very recent flooded and destroyed areas in the Florida Panhandle due to the recent tornado and high winds. Panama City was especially hit hard and are still without electricity. It will be down for several more weeks per the Power Company. A month, perhaps. And the recent hurricanes that hit the East coast have left their mark that will take years to repair, our thoughts are with all who are struggling with their aftereffects.
A great big WELCOME from the USA TEAM to our fellow TEAM artists, Janice and Ted Timmins from Australia. They are having a wonderful time visiting everywhere all over our country with Brenda & Roger Harris and Harold Champagne. Harold has driving duty while they
travel all around the USA, including Jacksonville and Orlando and even to Key West, Florida for an island visit to our very most southern part of the country!! A grand place to visit!!! ☺
