After a hardy rainstormlled all the potholes in the

streets and alleys, a young mother watched her two littleboys playing in the puddles through her kitchen window.

The older of the two, a ve year old lad, grabbed his

sibling by the back of his head and shoved his face intothe water hole. As the boy recovered and stood laughing anddripping, the mother ran to the yard in a panic.

Why on earth did you do that to your little brother?!she asked as she shook the older boy in anger.

We were just playing church mommy, he said, I

was just baptizing him.....in the name of the Father, theSon and in the hole-he-goes.

GED classes no longer being held

here but GED test still being givenby Linda Dingman

I began teaching the GED classes in Glasgow in theall o 2013. It has been a rewarding experience and Ithoroughly enjoyed teaching the GED. I would get sucha eeling o accomplishment when a student got theirGED. Most o my students were able to get better jobsand some went on to college or some sort o technicaltraining. What an accomplishment on their part. Tree or our years ago Glasgow lost its undingor the GED class. I continued to hold class one day aweek since that time. However, as with all o lie things

change. It has become more difficult or me to get downto Job Service to hold class. I also have a granddaughterthat I am babysitting. Although there will no longer beGED classes taught in class, the GED test will still begiven.

Tere are very good internet sites you can use toprepare or the GED: http://www.gedforfree.com http://www.gedtestingservice.com/testers/test-on-

computer http://diplomaaccomplished.com I think the first two are ree, but I am not sure. Idid not want to do an application. I you do not have acomputer, you can always go to the library and use theircomputers.

Remember the GED ES WILL SILL BEGIVEN IN GLASGOW. You can call Mike at GlasgowJob Service, 228-9369, and he will get you started on thetesting process.
