Feast of Christ the King / Festividad de Cristo Rey

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus”. We will gather with friends and family this Thursday to give thanks; thanks to God and thanks to others for all they are to us. I am grateful for each one of you members of this church: our seniors, children, single and married couples, our families, the deaf, the Anglo, the Hispanic, the Vietnamese, the African American, the Philippinos, and all who come to this place to know, love and follow Jesus. I am grateful for all who have died and who left us a witness of their love for Christ and the Church, grateful for those who carry on their crosses each day: the sick, the poor, the underemployed, the migrant, the widow, the widower; grateful for all who labor each day to provide for their families. I am grateful for having the privilege to be part of

this church, and for all the many things we have accomplished together. To name a few: The Catechisms of the Good Shepherd that we are implementing, the visual system to enhance our liturgical participation, the remodeling of our office building, the social activities we do to build us more as a family like the Bazaar, the chicken dinner, the picnic, the family breakfast each month. I am grateful for our tenants, the many committees, volunteers, and staff who collaborate with me in ministry: our church cleaners, gardeners, cooks, St Vincent de Paul, eucharistic adoration, altar servers, lectors, money counters, ushers, catechists, lectors, eucharistic ministers, cantors, and our office staff. And I am grateful for the one who just simply is seeking to know, love and follow Jesus. For each one of you I am grateful to God! Happy Thanksgiving! “Alégrate siempre, reza continuamente, da gracias en todas las circunstancias; porque esta es la voluntad de Dios para ti en Cristo Jesús ". Este jueves nos reuniremos con amigos y familiares para agradecer; dar gracias a Dios y dar gracias a los demás por todo lo que son para nosotros. Estoy agradecido por cada uno de ustedes miembros de esta iglesia: nuestros ancianos, hijos, parejas solteras y casadas, nuestras familias, los sordos, los anglos, los hispanos, los vietnamitas, los afroamericanos, los filipinos y todos los que vienen a Este lugar para conocer, amar y seguir a Jesús. Estoy agradecido por todos los que murieron y nos dejaron testimonios de su amor por Cristo y la Iglesia, agradecidos por aquellos que llevan sus cruces cada día: los enfermos, los pobres, los subempleados, los migrantes, las viudas, los viudos. Agradecido por todos los que trabajan cada día para mantener a sus familias. Estoy agradecido por tener el privilegio de ser parte de esta iglesia y por todas las cosas que hemos logrado juntos. Por nombrar algunos: los Catequistas del Buen Pastor, con quien estamos implementando el sistema visual para mejorar nuestra participación litúrgica, la remodelación de nuestro edificio de oficinas, las actividades sociales que hacemos para construirnos más como una familia como el Bazar, el chicken dinner, el picnic, los desayunos familiares de cada mes. Estoy agradecido por nuestros inquilinos, los numerosos comités, voluntarios y personal que colaboran conmigo en cada ministerio: limpieza, jardineros, cocineros, San Vicente de Paul, Adoración Eucarística, monaguillos, lectores, contadores de dinero, hosters, catequistas, lectores, ministros de Eucaristía, cantores y nuestro personal de oficina. Estoy agradecido por el que simplemente busca conocer, amar y seguir a Jesús. ¡Por cada uno de ustedes estoy agradecido con Dios! ¡Feliz día de acción de gracias!

Feast of Christ the King Today as we celebrate Christ the King, may we open the door of our heart so wide that we may listen to the voice of

Jesus calling us to help build his kingdom here on earth.

In the month of November, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was able to help build the kingdom of God by assisting many fami-lies, providing food, utility and rent bills, etc. Thank You!

Festividad de Cristo Rey Hoy, mientras celebramos a Cristo Rey, que podamos abrir ampliamente la puerta de nuestro corazón para que podamos escuchar la voz de Jesús que nos llama a ayudar a construir Su reino aquí en la tierra.

En el mes, de Noviembre a través de sus donaciones, la Sociedad de San Vicente de Paúl fue capaz de ayudar a construir el reino de Dios, ayudando a muchas familias, proporcionando comida, pagos de servicios públicos y de alquiler. ¡Gracias!
