If you choose to leave your car
overnight and forget to buy extra
hours, you could have your ticket

How will my money be spent?
What if I forget to pay & get a ticket?
Over the last 10 years, drivers have
expressed a lack of available
onstreet parking, especially in the
downtown area. Onstreet parking
is meant for convenience for drivers
making shorter visits. When parking
hours are not limited, onstreet parking
becomes crowded with
longterm parkers, spaces are harder

While there are about 3,000 onstreet
parking spaces downtown, there are
over 14,000 offstreet parking spaces
in surface lots and garages. A map of
these locations is available at
www.austinparking.com. Onstreet
parking spaces north of 10th Street will
remain free to the public after 6 p.m.
Drivers can buy additional time into the
next day the night before by pressing
the yellow “next day purchase” button
on the paystation. Place the pay
station receipt on your windshield
showing prepayment.

Fire Exhibit Regulations for Assembly Occupancies
The information contained in this brief outline does not by any means thoroughly cover the criteria and standards contained inthe Uniform Fire Code, as adopted by the City of Austin, but it does provide the fundamental rules governing exhibits in anybuilding open to the public.
The following entities are responsible for ensuring all regulations are followed: facility client, exhibitors, service contractors andthe Austin Convention Center Department (ACCD). It is a requirement that ACCD reviews all event pre-planning documentsand floor plans and is the only entity that can submit these documents to the Austin Fire Department for final review andapproval.

ACCD will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are allowed to display your products effectively, aslong as it does not create a fire or life safety hazard to you, other exhibitors or people attending the exhibit.
Floor plans for all shows are to be submitted to ACCD for review and approval. ACCD will sub- mit the floor plans andevent pre-planning documents to the Austin Fire Department’s Fire Marshal for approval. An approved copy will beprovided to the event client. The upper deck of the multi-level exhibit must have a minimum of two exits as far from each other as possible. Ifonly one (1) exit, the second level is limited to seven (7) people at a time.
