FROM THE ADMINISTRATOR
November is here along with a busy schedule for our lodge. We
will be hosting a Thanksgiving Day meal with all the fixings open to
the public. Volunteers are really needed to show the public are true
fraternal nature by serving a delicious meal free of charge to the
community. November 22 at 12:00 PM is our serving time.
November 17th we will be hosting a Nine Ball pool tournament
beginning at 10:00 AM. Check out the flyers in the lodge for details.
This event is open to all moose members in good standing
throughout the state.
Also, for our poker players, Junction City Lodge is having a
Texas Hold’Em poker tournament on November 10 starting mid-
morning.
We again appreciate all the volunteer work from our loyal moose
members.
Please stop by and check out the flyers and activities at our lodge.

FROM THE SENIOR REGENT
My dear Co-Workers,
Gosh the year is slipping by so quickly! It’s already November and we are moving into the colder months on the Coast. Don’t forget to bundle up and keep warm as we slide into our favorite time of year celebrating with family and friends.
Looking ahead, we are so pleased to celebrate with Nita McDonald as she is awarded her Red stole and with Kirstin Kodrack as we salute her service to our country at our first meeting.
Membership Retention Committee is having a Membership Drive that you won’t want to miss! November 2018-April 2019:

Sponsor 3 new members= ONE YEAR FREE Membership!
Community Service Committee continues to collect items for the homeless population on the Coast. And as the temperatures drop, these folks will need everything from toothbrushes to coats to tents. If you have any gently used or new items you’d like to donate, please place them next to the WOTM office door.
Sports & Activities Committee is gearing up for some fun Christmas Caroling activities next month. December 4th (6 pm) we will be practicing carols with the kids. You know they don’t teach them in schools and it’s such a thoughtful tradition, please plan to sing along with us on Friday and Saturday, December 7 and 8, 2018 (5-7 PM) as we escort Fire Department and Santa on the annual can food drive through Waldport. And please mark your calendars on Sunday, Dec 13, 2018 3-5 pm. The Community Service Committee will be offering FREE Christmas Family portraits with a Professional photographer taking pictures.
And Tamale Making Class Thursday, December 6, 2018 2 PM AND/OR 6 PM- sign up at our meeting!
Mooseheart/Moosehaven Committee is collecting donations for our Sunshine couple and Sunshine child for Christmas presents. It’s just a few short weeks away and we need to mail packages. Let’s see if we can send them some wonderful surprises from our Chapter.
Secret Sister Reveal-the BIG party will be our second meeting in December. We’d like to make it a festive event and so I’m proposing to have a cookie party. Bring your favorite homemade cookies with the recipes to share for the party!
Ways & Means Committee is hosting the Waldport Lodge's New Year’s Eve Celebration! Details to follow!
Also, on Friday, Nov 30, 2018, the Sr. regent has arranged for a Representative from Oregon Moose, to visit Waldport- noon at the High School and 3:30 pm at library providing information to high school students about the Moose Int. Scholarship. For those interested, please contact me for more information.
While we are quite busy with so many activities, we want to pause and remember this is the time of year that we spend time with our families enjoying our blessings and rejoice in each other’s company. Thanksgiving provides a moment to be generous to our community and to each other. Don’t hold back. Grab someone and give them a huge hug! Remember we have so much to be thankful for! Enjoy the moment!
