Making Merry at the Fall Fundraiser
A great group of people came out on Saturday for the fundraiser. We Ate, We Drank & We Made A Lot of People Merry! Thank you to all the participants for your generous support of the Bailey Theatre. We especially want to thank all the businesses and individuals who donated to the event. We couldn’t have done it without your contributions! Thanks to Ron Peterson for his amazing auctioneering. Our entertainers Steven Hartman, Leslie Lindballe, Maya Rathnavalu, Arnold White and Infinite Imagination added so much to the evening.
A huge thank you to all the volunteers who helped set up, worked at the event and helped with the clean up! A very special thank you to Lisa Alain, chairperson of the Fall Fundraiser and her devoted committee: Judy McLean, Barb Stroh, David Roth, Leslie Lindballe, Teresa Roth, Marian Williams, Tammy Johnson, Carole-May Coty, Jan Nowakowski and Colleen Nelson for their hard work organizing the event. Thank you to all the Bailey Theatre staff for working at the event and for their efforts this week as they wrap up details from the fundraiser. Here’s a few shots supplied by Dawn at Daybreak Creations Photography.

With a sound that blends high energy Latin, West African, reggae and folk rock rhythms the John Welsh Band gets crowds moving wherever they perform. A world traveller by nature, John Welsh lived and studied in Mexico and Guatemala where he was heavily influenced by the music, language and culture. After 5 years of playing and recording with various bands he and brother Chris(bass) met Nigerian born Courage Eigbike who brought his reggae and West African influenced sound. Together they began creating songs that would get crowds dancing and singing along with the vision of bringing their world music sound to a mainstream audience.
