Extension Master Gardeners Board & Committee Chairs

Attend Fall Gathering

The October 4th Fall Gathering of the Executive Board and Committee Coordinators was held at

the Jefferson Hill Winery north of McLouth, KS in Jefferson County. A tour of the vineyard was

conducted by owner Don Bryant. The group came into the Guest House to a spread of light snacks,

the featured drink (The Golden Apple), wine tasting and good fellowship. This was a chance to

share and celebrate the year's activities. Several were unable to make the event due to the busy

schedule of fall events.

Oakes, Wendy Shoemaker , Kathy Reed, Jane Stiles-Potts, Debbie Zabel.

RETIREMENT

This will be my last entry into the EMG Update as the Horticulture Program Assistant. I have chosen not

to renew my contract for 2016. I will instead earnestly use what I have learned from you in my personal garden

and passing it on to my grandchildren. This experience will also guide me in other volunteer opportunities.

My intent is to remain a Master Gardener and proud supporter of the association’s new growth.

Thank you for the comradery, friendship, and personal growth during the past 8 years.
