Family Dinner was a Great Success
It has been said that t
place for a family to
communicate is aroun
dinner table. Our fam
extended to almost 60
people at our first CIS
family dinner on Oct
25th! With several par
siblings and CIS students in attendance, we discussed our program at Milford
Central Academy and many of the initiatives and goals we will achieve throug
the 2011-2012 school year. Families walked away with some great informati
well as prizes,
including
Wal-Mart and
Grottos Pizza
gift
certificates.
Parents, we
greatly
appreciate your
support as we
endeavor to fulfill the five CIS Basics. This valuable family time was a great
the right direction! Special thanks to Jen Koester from the CIS Delaware Stat
office for her help in planning and facilitating the family dinner!

• Homework Helper- Many students just need that one-on-one attentio
their “ah-ha moment.” Students could benefit from your help with
completing homework and/or class assignments, gaining confidence in
reading or math, and basic tutoring. Students can work with you one-
or in small groups. Homework helpers are primarily needed on Friday
