What is the impact for the user?


IndexingObjective and Purpose

The objective of indexing is to identify the content of an item by representing its concepts

The purpose of indexing is to assist in the retrieval of this item

Indexing simplifies the search process and facilitates the user’s finding of relevant information


Indexing Rules

Completeness-index all important concepts

Specificity-index on the most specific level

Correctness-check the usage of the selected descriptor

Avoid underindexing and overindexing! Avoid indexing on several hierarchical

levels for one and the same concept


Completeness

index all important concepts of a document by assigning 5 to 20 descriptors

A document with less than 3 descriptors cannot enter the data base!

Underindexing will result in incomplete search results!

Overindexing will result in non-relevant search results!

The influence of severalions as interference was discussed. The separation of Fe(III) ion from the mixturesolution were carried out with the buffer solution (pH 5.0) and 0.25M HCl aseluents.
