Things to look back on and look forward to at
FMS:Spirit Wear will be available for purchase for all students at Freedom. Please be on the lookout for a spirit-wear order form coming home with your son/daughter this week. Get your spirit wear on by showing your FREEDOM pride.
Students in 7th grade ELA classes will continue reading and analyzing famous speeches over the next couple of weeks as well as constructing both argument and expository essays under the Human Equality topic.
Last week students in 7th grade Exploratory class learned how much their education is REALLY worth each day they attend class. This week they will be discussing the difference between closed and open-ended questions to prepare them for their upcoming interview with teachers and peers.
Before Thanksgiving break eighth graders attended an information session in the FMS gym on Monday to learn about Renaissance High School.
Staff Highlight:
Mr. Frank Burnett has been a teacher at Freedom Middle for many years. He
has now hit star status with his “Fridays with Frank” session on our Good Morning Galaxy.
Each Friday Mr. Burnett writes a story about
sports, life experiences, or a reflection on something happening in the world. Fridays with Frank has
now become a great time for students to sit back
and learn a lesson from a talented educator. Thank
you Frank, for the time you spend creating the pieces of writing you
share with the students at Freedom.
Student Highlight:A huge shout out to Ms. Jackie Johnson, Mrs. Mary Fantoni, and the entire FMS Volleyball team for a wonderful 2016
season. They celebrated the end of their season at Soulshine Pizza on Friday,
November 4th. This is such a great group of girls, and the coaches are extremely
proud of each of the girls. Fun was had by all!

Sign up for Math Tutoring
Math tutoring will be given on Tuesdays and Thursdays for any student that needs some additional help in math. Please ask any math teacher for a permission form to be completed and returned to one of the math teachers at the school.
