NovaBACKUP Remote Manager

Has a two fold purpose to remotely manage your Storage Server and hosts a web service that allows you to do almost anything with the Storage Server.Custom coding is needed on the service provider’s side in order to leverage the web service.There are multiple parts of the Remote Manager

Remote Manager Service, located on the Storage Server.Web application, located on the web server.Web service, located on the web server.Both the web service and the web application require a SQL database

Application Update Service

The Application Update Service is how version 10+ clients update to newer versions.Currently it is a manual process of adding entries into the SQL database that the web service is running off of.

Web Based Restore (WBR)

Web Based Restore simply put is an active x implementation of a client that only does restores.Internet Explorer is the only currently supported web browser.As a service provider you can edit the web pages to your liking, the current web page is just really a template.

Commerce Server

The Commerce Server currently is a provisioning tool so that new users of the software can sign up for service and everything is provisioned and setup automatically.The Commerce Server allows xSP Service Providers to allow different packages and prices depending on the NovaBACKUP software build/customization done to the software.The Commerce Server does not currently do automated billing, or allow for easily changeable packages on the client end.

Product Builder

The Product Builder is a way to create your customized NovaBACKUP software.

It is located at http://builder.novastor.comSign up and send an email to support@novastor.com with your login name so we can activate the login.A limited number of customized builds are included for free, contact your sales representative if you need more.

The Custom Client Specification document is located on the landing page of the Product Builder that explains the various fields that are available.
