Nourish International mobilizes students to

eradicate poverty one community at a time.

Nourish students increase resources and funding for partner

non-profits and participate in projects each summer that reduce poverty in impoverished communities.

Nourish’s beginnings: UNC (2003-2006)

Accomplishments at UNC-Chapel Hill

• Engaged 40 highly active student leaders

• Earned $45,000 in funding through business ventures Nourish Ventures:

• Provide goods or services that cater to students. • Entrepreneurially engage “non-typical” students in poverty reduction efforts.• Fund sustainable development projects abroad.

Venture examples: Lunches, Cooking Classes, Yoga Classes, Gaming tournaments, and Salsa Dances

• With our profits, we served 2500 people in •India – working in partnership with Bridgetrust •Bolivia – Save the Children •Argentina – Fundacion Los Robles •Uganda – Foundation for Needy Communities•Guyana – Ministry of Health•Guatemala - Community Enterprise Solutions

Nourish has raised $45,500 in capital sponsorships, and we aim to secure an additional $161,600 by May 2007. With this investment, we will be able to expand to up to 50 new chapters in 2007-2008 alone.
