Assisting and gaining experience with each of the six Academic Processes areas of: Student Records, Registration, Graduation, Exams and Timetabling, Curriculum, Mobility and Placements, specific tasks will involve: Receiving and responding to everyday enquiries from/to customers, escalating requests outside their knowledge base to appropriate person; Solving problems that recur on a regular, routine basis, drawing upon pre-prepared materials or a simple choice of learned solutions/responses for the answers; Supporting the delivery of relevant administrative activities in specific student journey work area, ensuring an exceptional customer experience and level of service 85%

Carrying out routine record keeping and data entry to ensure accurate records are maintained. Run automated or routine reports to support established work unit information requirements;

Reproducing and preparing clearly defined documents typically using standard formats or templates;

Suggesting improvements to current working methods; Working with manager and more experienced colleagues to discover

and develop abilities and competence through learning and exposure to a range of tasks;

Making clearly defined arrangements and bookings and be involved in the preparation of materials to assist in the effective organisation of

internal and external activities; Arranging allocated tasks within daily routine to ensure work is

completed to time and appropriate standard; Processing routine forms following set procedures; Providing/requesting information to/from internal contacts and

customers in a courteous and correct manner.6. To assist during various cross university events such as Registration and

Graduation Ceremonies.10%

7. Any other general duties relevant to the role. 5%

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Essential DesirableQualifications/ Education

5 GCSEs or equivalent, including GCSE English and Maths (Grade A-C)

Keyboard skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office

(Word and Excel in particular) and Outlook email and calendars

Good verbal & communications skills with confident telephone manner

Flexibility Good attention to detail Good internet skills

Skills/Training Good organisational skills Good interpersonal skills Ability to work both on own

initiative and as part of a team Ability to prioritise own work Ability to use tact and
