Applications are invited for the following posts tenable atMumbai :

1.

SCIENTIFIC OFFICER (C) : OnePost [Unreserved] ; PayBand (PB-3) Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay : Rs.5400/- ;

TME : Rs.46,230/- ; HQ : Mumbai.

Qualification : B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics/Electronics &Communications/Telecommunication with minimum 60%marks.

Experience : Minimum 1 year experience with TCADtools in simulating optoelectronic devices and process.

Desirable Experience : Candidate should have :

i) Working experience in TCAD tools for simulating solidstate optical devices.

ii) Experience of developing data acquisition systems.iii) Experience working with fast solid state photo

devices.

iv) Experience in designing/handling collimated opticalbeam-lines and electronic instrumentation.

Job Requirement : Candidate would be expected towork on designing, fabricating and characterizing solidstate photo devices. Candidate would be expected towork on data acquisition systems for small as well aslarge scale systems.

Age : Below 28 years.

Experience : One year experience in animal breeding,maintenance, healthcare, genotyping, colonymanagement and care, surgical experiments, transgenic

technology will be highly desirable. In case, nocandidates are found suitable for Project Scientific Officer(C) post then B.V.Sc. candidates with an excellentacademic record may also be considered for appointmentas Project Scientific Officer (B) with consolidated pay ofRs.34,000/- (including HRA of Rs.4900/- and all otherallowances).

SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT (B) : One Post [Reserved forScheduled Tribe] ; Pay Band (PB-2) Rs.9300-34800 +Grade Pay : Rs.4200/- ; TME : Rs.28,965/- ; HQ : Mumbai.

Qualification : i) B.Sc. with minimum 60% marks ANDGraduate in Library Science with minimum 60% marks.(ii) Knowledge of use of personal computers and itsapplications.

Experience : 2 years in a well establishedScientific/Technical Library.

Desirable : Preference will be given to candidates havingextensive knowledge of Information Technology includingthe use of Library Management Softwares.

Job Requirements : Besides the routine library

operations, the candidate is required to take care of thecomputerized activities in the library. Initiation to createa digital library and web-based services is expected.

PROJECT SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT (B) : Two Posts[Unreserved] temporary for a period of one year ;

Consolidated Pay : Rs.26,000/- pm (including HRARs.3600/-) ; HQ : Mumbai.

Qualification : S.S.C./H.S.C. & Full time Diploma in

Electronics or equivalent stream with minimum 60%

marks. (ii) Knowledge of use of computers and its

applications.

Experience : 0 2 year experience in electronic testing

and assembly programming.

Desirable : Data acquiring and analysis using lab view,

knowledge of VHDL/Venilog.

Job Requirements : Selected candidate will have to

work for extended period at Bangalore and other field

stations.


TME : Total Monthly Emoluments.

Higher starting salary could be considered for deservingcandidates. Candidates are liable to be transferred to otherCentres/Field Stations of the Institute, if required.

General Information : Appointment for the posts at sr.no. 1 &3 will be initially for a period of three years, includingprobation period of one year. Continuing appointment

beyond the initial period of three years will be subject to theresults of a comprehensive review and performanceappraisal. After successful review, the appointment iscontinued till superannuation age, which is sixty.

Prescribed age should not exceed as onJuly 1, 2012.Selected candidates for the posts at sr. no. 1 & 3 will begoverned by the New Pension Scheme applicable to theCentral Government service [unless they are alreadygoverned by CCS (Pension) Rules 1972].
