9. Quoting merely the lowest price does not confer any right to any bidder for
award of supply order. The Institute reserves the right to select any bid on the
grounds of quality, offer of additional / special features, compatibility, etc.
10. The Institute also reserves the right to reject any bids with sub-standard
products even if they are found to be lowest.
11. The period of delivery exceeding three months is not normally allowed.
12. Full particulars regarding the make, manufacturing specifications and
standards, guarantee period, and descriptive literature should accompany the
quotation.
13. The price and the delivery period should be clearly stated in the quotation.
14. If any articles are not up to the prescribed quality or specification it is liable for
outright rejection.
15. At the time of dispatch of articles, Delivery Note should be given along with
the articles.
16. The quantity and specifications of the equipment is attached as Annexure I.
17. All disputes arising in connection with this are subject to exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Karaikal, Puducherry only.

7 Montecarlo Galton board
Version 1
Version 2:
Purpose: To determine the radius of the
marble/ spherical objects through statistics.
(This equipment also may listed under
mathematic laboratory aid.)
The Galton board is an upright board
with evenly spaced nails driven in to
its upper half. The nails are arranged in
staggered order. The lower half of the

Instructions for quoting each equipment:
(i) The mentioned specifications are minimum essential for every
equipment/ accessories.
(ii) For certain items, your product specifications are slightly variant
(towards higher side), in that case, kindly mention it in your quote.

(iii) In case, a product is available with different makes (for instance
microscopes, polarimeters etc) kindly quote separately for the items
specifying their makes.
(iv) For all items mentioned in the list, photo of the finished product
and or supporting brochure is mandatory. That enables us to choose
the correct product/ accessory in spite of synonym or different
names for the same product by different vendors/ manufacturers/
users.
(v) Kindly mention and quote separately, if the certain additional
accessories are not included along with the basic equipment.
(vi) If the material used for the equipments or the accessories are
different than the requested one, kindly mention it in your quotation.
(vii) If your product has additional features are advantageous over the
conventional equipment/ requested one, kindly highlight it and quote
for the same.
(viii) During the years, certain equipments are modified into compact
nature/ or user friendly material. In that case, kindly mention it and
quote it separately along with the supporting brochure/ photo user
manual etc.
