Applications are invited from candidates possessing the qualificationsgiven below for appointment to the post of Lower Division Clerk in the Pay Bandof Rs.5200-20,200 +1900(GP) under the Coir Board. The eligibility conditionsare as given below:

1. No. of Post : Seven (Out of which six posts areUnreserved,One post is reserved for ST)

2. Age : Not exceeding 25 years as on 21.12.2009(The age limit is relax able for ST candidates upto 5years)

3. Educational Qualifications:

Essential : SSLC or Equivalent, 30 w.p.m. inTypewriting (English) essential

NOTE:

LAST DATE : Complete Applications in the prescribed format with copiesof testimonials duly attested by a Gazetted Officer in proof of age,qualifications, and experience etc. should reach the Secretary, Coir Board,Coir House, P.B.No.1752, M.G.Road, Ernakulam, Kochi-16 on or beforethe prescribed closing date i.e 21.12.2009 ( For those candidates fromAssam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland,Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu& Kashmir, Lahaul and Spiti district and Pangisub-division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, A&N Islands andLakshadweep, the closing date will be 28.12.2009).

The applicants from ST Category should enclose attested copy of acertificate in the prescribed form from the competent authority to theeffect that he/she belongs to the ST category.

FEE : Each application should be accompanied by a fee of Rs.50/-(Fiftyonly) in the form of a crossed Demand Draft drawn on any Bank andpayable at Ernakulam in favour of Secretary, Coir Board, Ernakulam,

Cochi 16. No fee will be required for ST candidates.

Mode of selection: The selection will be on the basis of a WrittenExamination, Type Writing Speed Test & Interview. The selectedcandidates will be posted initially at Kochi and they are liable to betransferred to anywhere in India where the Boards Offices exist.
