PRESCRIBED QUALIFICATIONS:

I. TEACHING POSTS

1. Principal : As per UGC Norms.

(a)

A Masters Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in apoint scale wherever grading system is followed) by a recognized

University.

(b)A Ph.D. Degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline(s) in the

institution concerned with evidence of published work and researchguidance.

(c)Associate Professor/Professor with a total experience of fifteen years of

teaching/research/administration in Universities, Colleges and other

institutions of higher education.

2. Assistant Professor :As per UGC Norms.

(a)Having a Post Graduate degree with a minimum of 55% marks (or an

equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)

and NET/SET/SLET shall remain as essential qualification for the post ofAssistant Professor. Candidates with Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject

are exempted from NET/SET/SLET qualification.

(b)A relaxation of 5% will be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks, atthe Masters level to the candidates belonging to SC/ST categories,

Differently abled and Visually Challenged persons.

(c)A relaxation of 5% will be provided from 55% to 50% of the marks to

the Ph.D. degree holders who have passed their Masters degree prior to19thSeptember 1991.

(d)No application fee for the SC/ST and Differently abled candidates on

production of attested photocopy of the Community Certificate /

Physical Disability Certificate from the competent authority.

3. Director of Physical Education :As per UGC Norms.

(a)Masters Degree in Physical Education or Masters Degree in Sports Science withat least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading

system is followed) with a consistently good academic record.

(b)Record of having represented the college at the intercollegiate competitions or

the State and/ or national championships.

(c)Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or

any

other agency approved by the UGC.

(d)Passed the physical fitness test conducted in accordance with these Regulations.

4. Librarian : As per UGC Norms.

(a)

A Masters Degree in Library Science / Information Science /

Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least

55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading

system is followed) and a consistently good academic record withknowledge of computerization of library.

(b)

Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by theUGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.

PRESCRIBED QUALIFICATIONS :

II. NON TEACHING POSTS

1. Bursar

(a) A Post Graduate degree in Public Administration (or) Business Administration(MBA) with Specialization in Finance with a minimum of 55% marks (b) A

relaxation of 5% of Marks shall be given to SC/ST & physically challenged.

(c) preference will be given to persons with experience for a period of not less

than three years in finance or administration matters in the Superintendent cadre

or its equivalent cadre in the institutions of higher learning.(d) Age: Should nothave completed 45 years. For the SC/ST and Physically Challenged candidates, the

Maximum age limit is 50 years.

2. Superintendent

a) A graduate in B.Sc. Computer Science/B.C.A or any Graduate with Diploma inComputer Applications from a recognized institution. (b) Typewriting senior grade

in English and Tamil will be preferable. (c) Administrative experience not less than

5 years as Assistant or equivalent cadre in any institutions of higher learning.(d) Age:Should not have completed 35 years. Maximum age limit for BC/MBC is

40 years and for SC/ST and Differently Abled is 45 years.

3. Assistant

(a)Any degree (Degree in B.Sc. Computer Science/B.C.A desirable). (b) Diploma in

Computer Applications from a recognized institution for non computer degree

candidates. (c) Previous experience not less than 3 years as Junior Assistant or

equivalent cadre in any institutions of higher learning. (d) Age: Should not havecompleted 35 years. Maximum age limit for BC/MBC is 40 years and for SC/ST

and Differently Abled is 45 years.

4. Junior Assistant

(a) Any degree (Degree in B.Sc. Computer Science/B.C.A desirable). (b) Diploma inComputer Applications from a recognized institution for non computer degree

candidates. (c) Previous experience not less than 2 years in any institutions of

higher learning. (d) Age:Should not have completed 35 years. Maximum age limit

for BC/MBC is 40 years and for SC/ST and Differently Abled is 45 years.

Assistant Computer Programmer / Computer Operator

(a) B.E. [Computer Science] / M.C.A. / M.Sc. Computer Science with First Class.

(b) Experience as Programmer for not less than two years (c) Knowledge inWindows Server technology and server maintenance, Visual Basic, Oracle & Web

Tech. With 2 years. Experience. d) Age: Should not have completed 35 years.
