Question: I am having trouble finding a prior to bid substitution request form in the bid documents and where should those substitution should be sent? Can I use a standard CSI form and are they emailed to you? Answer: Use a standard form. Question: Do the sub(stitution) request get emailed to you? Answer: Yes. Question: Can you tell me if this is an open public bid, or by invitation only? Answer: Open. Question: Can you please send us the Mandatory Pre Bid Attendee List from this morning’s meeting? Answer: Included in this Addenda. Clarification: The spec language for the Heating boilers calls for O2 Trim and an extended warranty which apply more specifically to the Aerco Benchmark Platinum, their higher end boiler. The engineer confirmed verbally that the college wants the standard Aerco Benchmark boiler, no O2 Trim, and the standard warranty. I’ve highlighted the portions of the spec that may need to be questioned. Highlighted Sections Included Here: 1.5.A Provide 15-year non-prorated warranty on heat exchanger and pressure vessel to include full replacement covering parts relating to condensate corrosion, thermal stress, mechanical defects and mechanical defects or workmanship. 1.5.B. Provide guarantee against any burner failure for 5-years. 1.5.C. Provide 3-year conditional warrantee for the on-board boiler controller. 1.5.D. Provide 2-year warrantee on all other parts and components with the exception of consumables such as flame igniter, flame detector and O2 sensor. 2.2.H Boiler shall be capable of Oxygen trim adjustments throughout the year in order to optimize the fuel air ratio. The boiler shall be able to self-diagnose the Oxygen trim system and recalibrate the oxygen measurement system based on an adjustable schedule. 3.3.A After installation and before start-up thoroughly clean boilers of scale, grease, etc. and boil out in manner and for duration as recommended by manufacturer. Clarification Answer: Refer to The RFP Header of this Addenda #2 for the changes made regarding this clarification request. Substitution Request: Section 23.51.00 Page 1 Paragraph 2.1.
