PYP Grade 5 Exhibition-Student Orientation

G rade 5 is buzzing with excitement about the PYP Exhibition, which will be held on 27th May, 2017. It is an opportunity for students to celebrate their transition from PYP to MYP and to

work together towards a common goal — a successful learning journey which they can showcase at the end of the Unit. To make parents understand the process of Exhibition and the ways in which they can support the students in their journey an orientation was held on 31st March in the school auditorium. Thank you to those parents who attended our session. We are thrilled to see your enthusiasm!! Students have chosen their topics, written the CI and LOI and begun their research. Many teachers are involved as mentors, with each group having a mentor in addition to their homeroom teacher. Students have also allocated time in the week to meet with their mentors and consolidate the research. To demonstrate their learning students will create a display that summarizes what they have learned over the past 10 weeks. They will also present their learning to the school community through writing, speech, and the Arts. This will provide the community with an in-depth understanding of their chosen project.

PYP PYP GESE Exam Report

I’m happy to announce that the results of GESE exam held from 24th to 28th Feb, 2017 have been

declared and all 118 students from Grades 1 to 5 who appeared for the exam have got a distinction

i.e. A grade both in conversation and in the choice of topic.

Trinity’s Graded Examinations in Spoken English (GESE) are one-to-one, face-to-face assessments of

speaking and listening skills with a Trinity examiner. Exam preparation focuses on the development

of communicative skills and building confidence among candidates. The training is undertaken by our

homeroom teachers in conjunction with certified Trinity trainers Ms. Meenaa Sampat and Ms.

Megha Shah.

We got a very positive feedback from the Examiner, Ms. Lorna LythgoeI who has been teaching EFL

and EAP for over twelve years in the UK and overseas.

PYP PYP GESE Exam Report

Dear Parents, It is with great pleasure that we would like to share with you the news that our students have achieved stupendous success at the Trinity GESE (Graded Examinations in Spoken English) Examinations once again this year. RBK International Academy has always promoted the development of skills, which will equip our young learners to be leaders at the forefront in the 21st century with real-world skills. Spoken English communication is one of those prominent skills that set apart an individual from the rest, especially in a workplace scenario. The Trinity GESE helps students build impeccable communication skills in spoken English, which ultimately adds value to their profile. RBK International Academy has enjoyed premier results in the Trinity GESE exams year after year and the trend has continued to show up this year as well. We have achieved a 100% success result of all students, with 100% of the students scoring the top grade ‘A’ in these examinations. Kudos to the students, Trinity training staff, and parents for putting up this fantastic feat!
