Why you need to be baptized, especially if you’re a teen or adult

In America when a baby is born, you can count on two things, a pile of hospital bills and an inquisition from grandma on when you’re going to get the baby baptized. But Baptism isn’t only for babies; it’s incredibly important in the life of teens and adults too. Many of us grew up in families where Baptism didn’t happen as babies, and maybe it feels like you missed the boat. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. If you’ve never been baptized, you owe it to yourself to check it out. Not only is Baptism a declaration of your faith in Jesus but it is a means by which God brings supernatural blessings into your life. Jesus has earned a great inheritance for you; it’s time to claim it.

Want to talk about getting baptized? Setup an appointment with one of our pastors by emailing [email protected] or calling 636.779.2343.

Student Ministry Retreat Re-cap

What an incredible weekend! On October 23-25, St. John Student Ministry took 91 middle schoolers and 14 mentors on a Fall Retreat. We learned and sang about the Trinity: our God is a good Father, a faithful friend and Savior, and he empowers us to live out our faith. We are praising God for the response we’ve heard from students and parents: Five students said that the retreat weekend was the first time they really felt God’s presence and believed that He loved them. Parents are telling us that their kids cannot stop talking about how much fun they had on the Retreat. Mentors reported that the retreat bonded them with their groups in a deep and impactful way. This is great news! God is moving in incredible ways, and we can’t wait to see what’s next!
