STAFF REPORT/UPDATE:
Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) is required by the Federal Environmental ProtectionAgency (EPA). The CCR must be prepared and distributed by all community water systemsin order to provide information concerning water quality for the previous monitoring year. The report identifies detected contaminants, compliance with drinking water rules, andeducational language, and is based on information reported to the Wisconsin Department of
Natural Resources ( DNR).
This report does go out in the second quarter billing to the utility customers. The report does get posted on the website and at the four posting boards.

Subject: Metering Manhole Installation
Dear Mr. Steinmann,
The Village of Suamico will be going ahead with the installation of the metering manhole project that
has been discussed for the past several years. Data compiled indicates a discrepancy in wastewater
discharge being significantly higher than water being used from the municipal water supply to your
facility. Village code ( 9. 05) references the ability for Suamico to have the right to require such metering
control to firmly know and understand the composition and volume being discharged from an
industrial waste generator.
Please find the table below for an outline to what the project will entail and estimated costs involved.
This project will be funded by the property/ business owner and completed using Village specifications.
The Village needs to get moving on this project so it can be bid out and constructed in the 2018 calendar
year. In discussions, you did mention there was a leak just upstream about 10' from the current
sampling manhole that could be added to this project and fixed at the time of construction.
The Village will facilitate the project and draft a final bill upon completion of the project. Details of
maintenance will also need to be addressed at the completion of the project when the improvements
are turned over to your staff. They need to learn and understand the equipment that being installed.
