Until now, RFCPING was not available for customers. Solution As of Release 6.20, RFCPING for the z/OS platform is contained in SAP Basis and can be downloaded as a patch from the SAP Service Marketplace. RFCPING is located at SAP WEB AS 6.20 -> Binary Patches -> SAP Kernel 6.20 -> OS390_32. RFCPING is also required for the DB2 UDB platform to support the high availability on Linux (x86) using Tivoli System Automation. RFCPING is available under SAP WEB AS ABAP -> SAP Kernel 6.20 32Bit -> Linux 32. The monitor is downward-compatible and can therefore also be used with R/3 Release 4.6. For details on using the monitor in connection with the IBM product "System Automation for OS/390", see the Redbook mentioned above.
