IQAC committee meets on 17 June 2020. The 2nd meeting of 2020 where several important

matters are deliberated.

Hands on Workshop on Integration of Basic ICT Tools in Teaching Pedagogy (For the Teaching

fraternity of Tezpur University) A Joint Initiative of IQAC & Teaching Learning Centre, Tezpur

University was organized during 8-9 June, 2020.

IQAC committee meets on 26 February 2020. The 1st meeting of 2020 where several important

matters are deliberated.

An interactive session of Faculties and Administrative Officers with Dr. B S Madhukar, Former

Advisor NAAC on different aspects of accreditation procedure was conducted on 29/11/2019.

Capacity Building Workshop series on Quality Research Communications for the Registered PhD

students of Tezpur University was organized on 27/09/2019, 18/10/2019 & 31/01/2020.

IQAC committee meets on 04 September 2019. The 2nd meeting of 2019 where several important

matters are deliberated.

A preparatory meeting on Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) 2019 was conducted on 19

June 2019 where several important matters are deliberated.

Follow-up meeting on Action taken on Academic and Administrative Audit (AAA) 2018 was

conducted on 06 May 2019 where several important matters are deliberated.

A talk on Prospects of Project Funding for the Teachers/Researchers of Humanities & Social

Sciences was organized on 02 April 2019 in the Department of English & Foreign Languages,

TU.

Debriefing meeting and discussion on Academic and Administrative Audit (AAA) Report 2018

was conducted on 13th December 2018.

Sensitization Workshop on Development of MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) for the

Faculty members of Tezpur University was organized on 16th November 2018 in the Council

Hall.

Academic and Administrative Audit (AAA) of Tezpur University was held during 29 to 31

October 2018.

IQAC committee meets on 08 August 2018. The 2nd meeting of 2018 where several important

matters are deliberated.

As per the recommendation of the workshops on revised NAAC Accreditation Framework,

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) had organized a 2-Day workshop on formulation of

Programme Objectives, Programme Specific Objectives and Course Objectives for the esteemed

Faculty members of Tezpur University during 18th & 19th June 2018 in the Council Hall, TU.

Dr. N.C. Shivaprakash, Department of Instrumentation, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore

was invited for conducting the workshop sessions. IQAC offered a deep sense of gratitude for Dr.

Shivaprakash for his meaningful and useful hard work. 80 nominated Faculty members from

various departments under 04 different Schools had attended the workshop sessions and actively

interacted during the lectures.

As per the recommendation of the IQA meeting held on 14th March 2018 (Wednesday) Internal

Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) had organized a Workshop on UGC guidelines of Career

Advancement Scheme (CAS) for the esteemed Faculty members of Tezpur University on 13th

June 2018 (Wednesday) in the Council Hall. Three internal resource persons viz. Dr. Parasmoni

Dutta, Assistant Professor, Department of Cultural Studies; Prof. Utpal Sharma, Former Director

IQAC and Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering; Prof. Nayandeep Deka

Baruah, Former Dean School of Sciences and Professor, Department of Mathematical Sciences

had energetically conducted the sessions. 97 Faculty members had attended the workshop

sessions and actively interacted during the lectures.

As per the recommendation of the IQA meeting held on 14th March 2018 (Wednesday) Internal

Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) had organized a series of workshops on revised NAAC

Accreditation Framework for the esteemed Faculty members of Tezpur University during 2nd, 3rd

& 4th May 2018.

Day I (02/05/2018) of the workshop was held in the Deans Gallery, School of Engineering,

Tezpur University from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm and 48 Faculty members from 07 various

departments under the School of Engineering had attended the workshop and actively

interacted during the lectures.

Day II (03/05/2018) of the workshop was held in the Screening Hall, Department of Mass

Communication and Journalism, Tezpur University from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm and 81 Faculty

members from 15 various departments including Centres under the School of Humanities &

Social Sciences and School of Management Sciences had attended the workshop and

actively interacted during the lectures.

Day III (04/05/2018) of the workshop was held in the Seminar Hall, Department of

Environmental Science, Tezpur University from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm and 40 Faculty

members from 05 various departments under the School of Sciences had attended the

workshop and actively interacted during the lectures.

IQAC Committee meets on 14 March 2018. Professor Vinod Kumar Jain, the newly appointed

Vice Chancellor chairs the 1st meeting of the year 2018 where several important matters are

deliberated.

The need of sensitization of faculty/staff on Revised Accreditation Framework of NAAC is

assessed through consultations with the Deans and Registrar on 20 February 2018.

Assessors’ Orientation Programme (AOP) on Revised Accreditation Framework of NAAC is

jointly organized by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and TUIQAC

during 14 to 15 December 2017. The AOP is attended by 40 delegates comprising of Vice-

Chancellors, Professors of University and Principals of Colleges.

The philosophy and objectives of Quality Circles is deliberated in a meeting held on 04 October

2017.

A Faculty Induction Programme is organized for the new faculty members of the University

during 21 to 22 September 2017. The faculty members are sensitized on various aspects of

teaching-learning, evaluation and research.

IQAC Committee meets to deliberate some important issues on 04 August 2017. Besides other

issues, the formation and functioning of Quality Circles (QC) is emphasized in the meeting.
