Mosaic Pieces As the 21st session of The Mosaic Center’s Job and Life Skills class draws to a close, we thought we would let the students’ words speak directly to your hearts. Here are a few quotes from three of our recent graduates. “I’ve changed in ways I didn’t think was possible.” “Now, that I have found Jesus and I know that He is with me, I feel like I’ve finally made it. I don’t have to be in the dark anymore. I’m proud of myself.” “I didn’t want to live and today, I do.” As we recently celebrated this latest classes’ graduation, we look back over the remarkable transformation that occurred in many of these ladies’ lives with gratitude. We are grateful that over half of these women are now employed with local employers. Others are eager to work and are continually seeking opportunities. Our success would not be possible without the valued partnerships of GODTEL, Lufkin Dream Center, Seasons of Hope, The Janelle Grum Family Crisis Center, our valued volunteers, and of course, Our Lord and Savior—Jesus Christ. A heartfelt thank you to Lufkin’s First United Methodist Church and Rev. Dr. Jerome Brimmage, and staff for so graciously hosting our graduation ceremony. Understanding God’s unconditional love for all, The Mosaic Center exhibits an example of God’s love by fostering human dignity and self-respect. Mosaic Pieces

As the 21st session of The Mosaic Center’s Job and Life

Skills class draws to a close, we thought we would let the

students’ words speak directly to your hearts. Here are a

few quotes from three of our recent graduates.

“I’ve changed in ways I didn’t think was possible.”

“Now, that I have found Jesus and I know that He is

with me, I feel like I’ve finally made it. I don’t have

to be in the dark anymore. I’m proud of myself.”

“I didn’t want to live and today, I do.”

As we recently celebrated this latest classes’ graduation,

we look back over the remarkable transformation that

course, Our Lord and Savior—Jesus Christ. A heartfelt

thank you to Lufkin’s First United Methodist Church

and Rev. Dr. Jerome Brimmage, and staff for so

graciously hosting our graduation ceremony.

Life Skills Class. Dates are available

from February 1st—April 21st. Please

What’s Happening at the House…

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and

petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” - Philippians 4:6

Prayer is an act of obedience. God calls us to

pray and we must respond. Prayer allows us to

worship and praise the Lord. It grants us the

opportunity to communicate with our Creator.

Prayer is personal to each and every person and

we hope that you will add a dedicated prayer

for the ministry of The Mosaic Center to your

personal prayer list in 2016.

Welcome to Jill Weisner! Jill is the newest addition to the Mosaic Center

staff and is assisting Carol Ramsey with the educational programming. Jill’s

passion for the Mosaic ministry is evident in all she does. We know you will love

getting to know her when you visit the house. Jill prepared the Bible Study Plan

below with you in mind!

Bible Study Plan: “The plans of the diligent lead to profit.” Proverbs 21:5

Begin reading a chapter or section from scripture each day (Suggestion: Gospel of

John). Ask and journal your responses to the following questions:

Who, what, where, when, why, and how?

As you read , try and determine the subject and/or the main point of the scripture.

Break the chapters up into smaller sections for deeper study.

Meditate and carefully consider what God may be teaching you through scripture.

Consider reading the Bible on your smart phone or tablet:

YouVersion, Bible.is, ESV CrossWay, GloBible and Blue Letter Bible

These Bible applications offer a variety of services such as Bible reading plans, audio

Bible, video and commentary.

Research has shown that it takes 21 days to develop a healthy habit. The Gospel of John

just so happens to be 21 chapters long. If you do not have a smart phone, the paper book

version still works just as well! You will absolutely never regret the time you have spent

in God’s Word!

Harold & Diana Yost, of Antique Junction,

recently saw The Mosaic Center’s need for

a new coffeemaker that was listed in our

last newsletter and answered the call!

Thank you!

For a treat—visit Antique Junction located

between Nacogdoches and Lufkin on Hwy

59. Please help support the businesses

that support The Mosaic Center.

A BIG

Thank you!

A Salute to our Community The Junior League of Lufkin recently partnered with The Mosaic

Center to donate $50 JLL Rummage Sale vouchers for each stu-

dent in Class 21. This generous donation gave our students an

opportunity to shop the rummage sale for much needed business

clothes that they could use for job interviews. We are very

thankful for the generosity of the women of The Junior League

of Lufkin! (JLL President, Sharon Kruk, pictured far right.)

We hope you will add

the new Mosaic Center

Facebook page to your

list of favorites. Coming in 2016!
