Welcome to the Lake Superior Farm Fresh Atlas™ The atlas lists farms, businesses, restaurants and farmers’ markets that sell their goods directly to customers in a five county region of Northwestern Wisconsin. It’s your guide to great-tasting food grown close to home!
How to Use the Atlas:Search by Location: Look for farms, businesses and farmer’smarkets based on location by turning to the map on pages 1-2.Use the numbered map key to identify listings by location. Please read descriptions carefully to make sure visitors are welcome and/or call before you visit.
Search by Listing: Read the farm and business listings beginning on page 4 to find out a little more about each farm. Listings include address, contact information, and a list of products provided by the farm or business. Farmer’s market listings, page 10, include locations, dates and hours of operation, and contact information.

Tucked along the banks of the Marengo River 12 miles south of Ashland, River Road Farm specializes in year round vegetable production under high tunnels. We offer cold hardy crops such as spinach, lettuce, carrots, beets, and cilantro from October through April and summer crops like sweet peppers, heirloom tomatoes and cucumbers. Our products can be found at area restaurants and the Chequamegon Food Coop.

Great Oak Farm LLC is a highly diversified USDA Certified Organic farm on 60 beautiful acres outside of Mason, WI. We are deeply committed to using environmentally sustainable growing practices to produce high quality, healthy food while minimizing our carbon footprint. The farm is home to a wide variety of pastured livestock and heritage poultry, a few dozen hives of honeybees, and a diverse array of fruits and vegetables. Deep Roots Farm was recently established in 2010 as a direct market herb and leafy greens producer. The farm is owned and operated by husband and wife team, Sean Godfrey and Britton Doolittle. It was founded on the idea that healthy families and communities require healthy food. In addition to our culinary herbs we also grow medicinal herbs and raise bees that provide the base for our seasonal herbal products. This winter we will be offering a winter herbal CSA to continue the health of our community. We also offer an egg CSA, pork shares, and you can find us at Ashland Area Farmers Market or check us out on facebook at Deep Roots Farm and Herbals.
