The ‘Cats were ranked No. 17 last week and jumped three spots after defeating Michigan, 4-1. NO GOALS ALLOWED: The Wildcats have seven shutouts this season, including six straight from the Wake Forest game to the Bowling Green game. Against Wisconsin, the defense set the longest shutout streak in program history. Since allowing a goal in the first game, the Wildcats did not allow a goal for 668:42 minutes. DEFENSE ON TOP: The Wildcats are ranked first in the Big Ten in goals-against-average (.477) and shutouts (7). Both marks rank top-20 nationally. Goalkeeper Mackenzie Wood’s save percentage of .880 is the best in the conference and 18th in the country. ROOKIE RECOGNITION: First year goalkeeper Mackenzie Wood won Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the second time this season (9/25). THE POLLS ARE IN: The Northwestern Wildcats are ranked No. 14 in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll, the best ranking in the Big Ten. The ‘Cats were ranked No. 17 last week and jumped three spots after defeating Michigan, 4-1.

NO GOALS ALLOWED: The Wildcats have seven shutouts this season, including six straight from the Wake Forest game to the Bowling Green game. Against Wisconsin, the defense set the longest shutout streak in program history. Since allowing a goal in the first game, the Wildcats did not allow a goal for 668:42 minutes.
