• Requires general hospitals and diagnostic and treatment centers (DT&C)
– establish and implement policies and procedures – pertaining to the identification, assessment, and
referral of victims of human trafficking

Challenges
• Time, time and time
• Administrative time for the Task Force Leadership
• Time for training of ED
Successes
• Having a multi-team approach to the implementation and training
• Working with the ED and the ambulatory site to accommodate their scheduling needs for training• Utilized monthly meeting time and adjusted our training time
• ED: single 90 minute live training
• Ambulatory: two 60 minute live trainings
Suggestions
• Set up your teams early
• Get buy in from your Task Force and Champions and help them to know what their responsibilities are
• It is equally important to let them know what their responsibilities are not
