Northstar E VMI’s One-of-a-Kind In-Floor Manual Conversion

The Northstar E wheelchair-accessible minivan is the only caregiver-centered conversion to offer front-seat wheelchair access and an in-floor, slide-out ramp. With all of the core elements of a helpful mobility vehicle, the Northstar E offers practicality, ease of use, and other side-entry benefits at an affordable price. The patent-pending manual in-floor ramp of the Northstar E is easier to stow and deploy than a manual fold-out ramp and allows for more room for wheelchair maneuverability inside the van. By providing optional mid-row seats and a removable front passenger seat, the Northstar E fits up to seven passengers and offers caregivers more flexibility.

Wheelchair Seating Options:

Removable front passenger and optional single or double mid-row seats allow caregivers to sit next to the wheelchair user, whether the caregiver is driving or sitting in the middle row. VMI’s Northstar E is the only caregiver-specific conversion that allows front-seat wheelchair access. The diagram on the left shows only a few of the many possible seating options.

The double, flip-up mid-row seat also matches the original interior and allows two passengers to sit in the middle row.

Mid-row seating can fold up to be out of the way.
