Dear Exhibitors and Visitors

Thank you for coming to support the sixty first year of Steam in Northleach. This year we have many new attractions for all the family to enjoy including all types of vehicles from yesteryear, Craft, Trade Stalls and Charity Stalls with one unusual and new to the show, Parrot Rescue.

Northleach has been associated with steam rallies since as a far back as the 1956. In later years it became known as Northleach Steam and Stationary Engine show and Organised by Peter Nichols. Following the sudden death of Peter, It then was run by his daughter Rita Nichols for a couple of years and then in its last remaining years up to 2000, was organised by Ken Darbun.

The show was revived in 2013 after an absence of 13 years. We may not be the biggest steam show, but we’ve certainly got tradition and a relaxed enjoyable atmosphere in an idyllic Cotswold setting going for us with a good section of vehicles and ales to try.

We hope the Northleach Steam and Vintage Show compliments the rallies and people of the past and provides the same enjoyable participation as those shows from bygone days.

Please look around, enjoy the exhibits, beer, food, stalls and fun fair amusements. We hope you enjoy the show and look forward to seeing you next year.

Church of St Peter & St Paul

“The Cathedral of the Cotswolds”

The Church is recognised as one of the finest wool churches in the country, and is often referred to as The Cathedral of the Cotswolds. The magnificent church building provides a haven of peace and prayer, and an inspiring venue for worship. The large 15th century windows flood the building with light, even on the dullest days.

Much of the present form of the church is down to the wealth of the woolman of Northleach during the 15th century, whose generosity funded the redevelopment of the nave, the addition of aisles and the building of the porch.

The Church is open every day of the year from 10am to dusk, and welcomes thousands of visitors each year in addition to the local congregation and community.
