The following describes the "articulation agreement" between Northern Kentucky University (NKU) Construction Management Program and Lexington Community College (LCC) Architectural Program. This agreement provides an

· easy avenue for Lee students wishing to continu0 their education by transfering to NKU, knowing exactly their program of study and what courses they must complete to be awarded a Bachelors Degree in Construction Management. The LCC students must complete their Associates Degree in Architecture in order to pursue this educational career path. This agreement essentially provides a 2 + 2 arrangement: Two years. at LCC and two years at

. NKU ( equivalent thereof).

NKU/Construction Technology and Management Programs provide very flexible scheduling, offering evening and Saturday classes. LCC Architectural students wishing to start their. employment careers may do so in the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati area and work part-time on the Bachelors Degree in Construction Management.

This is a very positive agreement and arrangement for both educational institutions, and their programs. Most importantly the students are the real winners. LCC students have a clear path of continuing their education and NKU will enjoy the increase enrollment of junior level students that are tn1ly prepared for upper level courses. NKU can expect a transfer growth of approximately 5 to 10 students per year.

LCC's Architectural Program is a very strong program and was fully reviewed by the Department of Technology/Construction Technology Faculty.

Thanks go to the Administrators of Lexington Community College and Northern Kentucky University for their support of this agreement, and a SPECIAL THANKS to the NKU/Offlce of Admissions for their work and support.

Please review the attachments for the complete articulation agreement. For more details and information, please contact Dr. Charles Pinder, Chair, Department of Technology-859/572-5442; or Paul D. Cooper, Coordinator of the Cons_truction Technology/Management Programs-859/572-6353.

Thanks go to the Administrators of Lexington Community College and Northern Kentucky University for their support of this agreement, and a SPECIAL THANKS to the NKU/Office of Admissions for their work and support.

Articulation· Agreement

The attached articulation agreement has evolved over a period of approximately two years. The transfer of credit from the Architectural program at Lexington Community College to the Construction Management Program at Northern Kentucky University has been evaluated, carefully, by key individuals from both institutions. The program at LCC is very strong academically.

The Architectural credits from LCC have been accepted on a course- by- course basis in our B. S. degree in Construction Management. If either program modifies its degree _ requirement, an evaluation should be conducted and a judgment made as to the impact it will have on this agreement.

Please review and react to the attached agreement. .

Thanks
