In spring 2015 we will be celebrating our 45th anniversary with a special Sapphire Gala in Leeds. This year we're touring Romeo and Juliet, Wuthering Heights The Great Gatsby, Madame Butterfly with Perpetuum Mobile, Elves & the Shoemaker and two mixed programmes. We will also be offering four emerging choreographers the opportunity to experiment in our Choreographic Laboratory, in partnership with Scottish Ballet and The Royal Ballet.

45th Anniversary Sapphire GalaJoin us to celebrate our 45th anniversary with a special Sapphire Gala. Our spectacular dancers will perform Demis Volpi’s Little Monsters and new pieces specially created for them by David Nixon OBE, Jonathan Watkins, Kenneth Tindall and Daniel de Andrade.

This dazzling evening will also feature The Royal Ballet, The Australian Ballet, Hamburg Ballet and Phoenix Dance Theatre. Audiences will also be treated to the Charleston from our blockbuster ballet The Great Gatsby.

Choreographic Laboratory In partnership with Scottish Ballet and The Royal Ballet, the Choreographic Laboratory will offer four emerging choreographers the opportunity to explore narrative classical choreography. It will culminate in a presentation of ideas on Saturday 20 June including performances and a panel discussion with experts.
