YOUR CITY WASTEWATERSERVICE FEES AT WORKIN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD
• Weatherorothercircumstancescouldshifttheworkschedule.Neighborswillbeinformedasconditionswarrant.
• ConstructionwillgenerallytakeplaceMondaythroughFriday,from7:00a.m.until4:00p.m.,andonmajorstreetsfrom9:00a.m.until3:30p.m.tominimizetrafficimpacts.Nightwork,ifrequired,willoccurbetween9:00p.m.and6:00a.m.
• Inordertominimizedisruptiononyourstreet,mostoftheconstructionworkatmostlocationswillbecompletedinabout5-10businessdays.
• Trucksandotherequipmentsuchaspipeswillbeusedduringconstruction,andyoumayseeopentrenchexcavationanddebrisremoval.
• Dustcontrolwillbeprovidedinallprojectareas.
• Forpublicsafety,enclosuresorotherbarrierswillbeusedinconstructionareaswherevernecessary.
• Flaggerswillbeusedwheretrafficisimpacted.
• Trashpickup,deliveries,accesstobusinessesandresidentialdrivewayswillbemaintained.
• Parkingmaybetemporarilyrestrictedinsomeareas,andsignswillbepostedinadvancewithdetails.
• Youwillbenotified24-48hoursinadvancewheneversewerservicesmaybetemporarilyinterrupted.

Project Background
TheCityofLosAngelesDepartmentofPublicWorkswillsoonbeginconstructionofasewerprojectinyourneighborhood.Thisprojectincludesanumberofimprovementsthatwillmakeyoursewersmorereliablefordecadestocome.
Theprojectwillremove,repair,andrehabilitatesewerpipelinestoaddressdeterioration.ThesesewersareimportantbecausetheycarrywastewatertotheHyperionWaterReclamationPlantinPlayadelRey,wherethewastewateristreatedtoahighqualitybeforebeingreleasedintotheSantaMonicaBay.

Elproyectoeliminará,repararáyrehabilitarálastuberíasdealcantarilladoaevitaráeldeterioroadicional.Estasalcantarillassonimportantes,yaquellevalasaguasresidualesalaPlantadeRecuperacióndeAguadeHyperionenPlayadelRey,dondeelaguaresidualestratadaconunaaltacalidadantesdeserliberadaalabahíadeSantaMónica.
