Sport News Rugby League Congratulations to William who has been selected in the Leeton/Narrandera/ Griffith Rugby League Open Team. He will now go on to trial for the Riverina on the 28th April.

PSSA Netball Gala Day On Friday 24th of March, the Griffith North Public School netball team competed in a gala day at Jubilee Oval. The day was run by Mrs Vearing, and the whole team had a great time. In our first match, we played against Beelbangera, and were defeated. The Beelbangera team went on to win the whole day and we were very pleased to have played such a good game against the champions. Our second match was against the Small Schools team, it was great fun to be able to play against girls from lots of different schools and this was a very close match! Finally, we played a short match against Griffith East for fun at the end of a very hot day. Overall, our team showed fantastic sportsmanship, we supported each other and all of the other teams and used our manners consistently throughout the day. The GNPS girls represented our school perfectly and Miss Horton is very proud.

PSSA Cricket Knockout Competition Today our boys’ cricket team played Deniliquin South Public School at Ted Scobie Oval. Good luck to the team and in next week’s newsletter, we will have a report on the game. Thank you to Mr Taylor for coaching the team.

Rugby Union Gala Day This Friday we have two teams, a Year 3 and 4 team and a Year 5 and 6 team, participating in the Rugby Union Gala Day. I would like to wish the boys all the best for their games and especially thank Sam McLeod and Mr Angel for coaching both teams.

Year 5 and 6 Team

Year 3 and 4 Team PSSA Soccer Trials Tomorrow Abbey, Lara and Asenaca will trial for the Riverina Soccer team in Albury. We would like to wish the girls all the best for these trials.
