>>Project OverviewThe Northern Connector Project will involve the construction of a new six lane 15.5 kilometre motorway to the west of Port Wakefield Road, providing a vital freight and commuter link between the Northern Expressway and the South Road Superway, and the Port River Expressway. The Project will construct four interchanges at the Northern Expressway, Waterloo Corner Road, Bolivar Road and the South Road Superway to allow access on and off the non-stop corridor, as well as a shared use path adjacent the Northern Connector, and connecting into the Stuart O’Grady bike path.
>>Jobs for Northern AdelaideLendlease has been awarded the contract for the design and construction of the Northern Connector Project. They plan to set a new benchmark for local industry participation and employment for public infrastructure projects in South Australia.In delivering the project, Lendlease have committed to ensuring at least half of the 480 jobs a year on average will be awarded to northern suburbs workers, as well as 90 percent of all on site labour hours to be undertaken by South Australians.

While these works are taking place, you might notice crews working along sections of the road.
To ensure the safety of the public and our crews, localised traffic management will be required at times, and advanced notification will be provided prior to any significant changes.
Residents will be advised of any works that will affect their property, including access or service disruptions.
Works will mainly occur during the day.
If night works are required to avoid significant traffic delays or where larger service interruptions are required, residents will be notified in advance.

NorthHub Centre for EmploymentThe NorthHub employment and training centre was officially opened on Tuesday 4 October 2016 by the Australian and South Australian Governments. NorthHub was established by Lendlease for connecting jobseekers with employment opportunities on the Northern Connector Project. It is a one-stop shop for vocational education and training, and service providers to meet with industry partners, subcontractors and workers. NorthHub is located at the Site Office at Waterloo Corner, to keep job seekers connected with the project.To find out more about how to get a job on the Northern Connector Project, contact the NorthHub Team. Tendering for Work on the Northern Connector ProjectAll packages of work for the Northern Connector Project with Lendlease will be listed on the Industry Capability Network (ICN) Gateway. Industry Partners will release their own packages of work directly to the market.
