Agenda

North Sea injector, completion, cleanout and stimulation

• G-23 drilled in the South Crestal area, Tor Formation for BP

• The well provides pressure support for offset producers

• 3,579 ft [1,091-m] horizontal section

• Cemented 4,5-in Liner

• 14 cementable sleeves, average spacing 246 ft [75 m]

• First acid fractured well, zone-by-zone individually with CT in well

North sea injector, completion , cleanout and stimulationThe well

• CT operated frac sleeves with open and close functionality

• Cemented liner and sleeves in place

• Ability to shut off water or restimulate in future

• Improve operational efficiencies when compared to plug and perf concept

• i-Valve 450

• ISO 14310 VO qualified seal

• Shifting profile 3,252-in Otis B

• Tension/compression strenght strength 592,000 lbm [268,526 kg]

• Temprature 351 degF [177 degC]Flowports 16EA 12,7mm

• Manipulation pressure 5,000 psi [34.5 MPa]

Cleanout

• Liner left with OBM; cement residues expected

• Cleanout tools

• Run #1–BHA consisting of 21/8-in CTD motor, 3-in mill, and i-Flow flow diversion tool

• Run#2-Venturi Junk basket BHA

• i-Flow flow diversion tool

• Tested in advance to comply with motor

• Closes off flow to motor and opens ports to annulus Liner and CT achiving high rates

• 2 1/8-in motor has flow restrictions to lift out solids

• Used for viper trips during cleanout

6

• Mill and Motor BHA

• 2 1/8-in motor

• 3-in mill

• Max. rate motor 1,5bbl/min

• i-Flow above motor

• Max. rate i-Flow 3,75 bbl/min

• Liner displaced from oil based mud to inhibited seawater

Intervention details

7

• i-Shift assembly, either single- or dual acting

• Open and close sleeves with CT in well

• Active coil fiber optic cable to verify opening forces

• Dual acting i-Shift to open and close sleeves during stimulation

• Nonreleasable keys due to installed protection sleeve

• i-Stroke impact hammer as contingency

Intervention details

Fiber Optic enabled Coiled Tubing

ACTive services provides real-time measurements data transmitted via fiber optics

 Downhole measurements included:

 CT Pressure

 Annular Pressure

 Temperature

 CCL

 GR

 Tension and Compression

 Torque

Fiber optics used to perform DTS

Sleeve 2 - Closing

Stimulation

• Individually operated and stimulated by using i-Shift hydraulic shifting tools

• Sleeves shifted open, and well pressured up to break cement

• After treatment sleeve was closed and next one opened, pressure test to confirm closed sleeve

• CT equipped with fiber-optic cable, utilizing DTS during stimulation

• CT was RIH below the stimulated zone to monitor cement bond between zones

Observe fluid channeling behind liner with fiber optic–enabled CT

• Zones 1-5 stimulated with 7bbl/min,

• 15% slick HCL and 2% KCI freshwater

• Offset well close by, so gentle injection to avoid communication

• Zone 6,8,10,12 and14 stimulated with 15bbl/min• 15% gelled HCL

• 5% near spent crosslinked

• 2% KCl freshwater

• Zone 7,9,11 and13 Stimulated with 15bbl/min

• 15% crosslinked acid

• 2% KCl freshwater

Stimulation

Summary

• No incidents , accidents or spills

• No NPT during operation

• Total stimulation and operational time took longer due to severe weather conditions

• No issues with opening and closing sleeves, over 40 shifts performed

• Fiber optic–enabled CT provided real-time downhole measurements and DTS

• Stimulation went according to plan

• i-Flow functioned as designed

• i-Shift and i-Stroke hammer is compatible with ACTive services

• Efficient intervention method reduced operational time by 50%
