NORTH OLMSTED SENIOR CENTER
Golden Age Bulletin — G. A. B. —
September 2017
MAYOR’S CORNER
I hope everyone will enjoy the Labor Day holiday
Monday, September 4th- North Olmsted City Hall and
other city offices, including the Senior Center, will be
closed in observance.
In August the City of North Olmsted passed a
resolution declaring September Prostate Cancer
Awareness Month in support of the work of the
American Cancer Society and others to educate our
community about risk and prevention of prostate
cancer. Early detection is critical and North Olmsted is
committed to assisting in the effort to educate and
increase public awareness of this risk to public health,
safety, and general welfare.
Finally, the new school year is under way. Please
remember to watch out for our youth when driving and
watch your speed in school zones.
Sincerely,
Mayor Kevin M. Kennedy

For thousands of
Cleveland homeless,
socks are a gift that’s
never taken for grant-
ed. In fact, they are the
item that’s most
requested by anyone who is living out-
side during the cold months. The North
Olmsted Senior Center, along with the
surrounding Westshore Senior Centers,
are collaborating with the Community
West Foundation to collect donations of
NEW socks, (ladies, men & children)
through the END OF THE YEAR. You
may drop off your donation of new
socks to the NOSC during normal
business hours. Help us help those in
need with the most basic necessities!
