PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Project consists on complete new construction of a two story educational wing connecting the existing commons, CTE and music wings to make an enclosed campus. Once completed the existing educational and administration wings will be demolished and a new single story Administration wing built with additional student parking lot. Project also included the complete remodel of the Vocational building for CTE programs and Music wing providing a new SPED suite. School will be a complete closed campus when complete with a secure vestibule at entrance and additional security throughout.

NORTH MARION SEISMIC PROJECTS Project Manager: Wenaha Group

MAJOR ADDITION AND REMODEL Architect: ZCS Architecture

PROJECT DESCRIPTION Project consisted of the following scope: High School: Complete demolition of the basement; seismic work including 18 steel columns around perimeter of structure and new structural diaphragm at gym floor level and roof, hazardous material abatement, new locker rooms, new weight room, new storage areas. Structure received new mechanical and electrical systems, new fire sprinkler system installed in both gym and basement, new LED lighting and a complete new roof. Middle School: Seismic work including concrete separation wall between multipurpose and gym to support roof structure and new structural diaphragm at roof elevation. Received new boilers for school heating system, new ductwork within gym space and new LED lighting.

NORTH MARION PARKING LOTS Project Manager: Wenaha Group

MAJOR ADDITION AND REMODEL Architect: DLR Group

Contractor: All-Ways Excavating

PROJECT DESCRIPTION Project consisted of a parking lot remodel at the Primary School and a new parking lot at the Middle School. Primary School: Project added an additional 28 parking stalls and a second entrance. Also included updated lighting. Middle School: Project consisted of a new parking lot extending over the Johnson property to include 86 parking stalls, a bus drop off and loading zone as well as a parent drop off and loading zone. Includes new lighting, drainage swales and concrete seat walls. Provides designated crossing zones for student safety and a large concrete plaza adjacent the front door.

• Additional parking stalls to reduce the number of cars on Grim Road.

• PS: Second entrance has reduced the amount of vehicles that sit on Grim Road at drop off and

pick up times.

CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS: • Slopes on drainage swales are too steep for maintenance to maintain the grass. Working with

design team to lessen the steepest, so maintenance can cut the grass for efficiently.
