Day 2 Casablanca > Meknes > Volubilis > FesDepart Casablanca and transfer to Fes. En route visit Meknes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its 40 kilometre long walls. In the Imperial city of Meknes, you will explore the town to include the expansive souks and the fascinating historical sites. Also visit the World Heritage Site of Volubilis, the site of the largest and best preserved Roman ruins in Morocco, particularly noted for its superb mosaic floors; it has fabulous views of the Rif Mountain foothills. Day 3 FesSee the old Medina, Medersa, Bab Boujloud and Souks. Artisan workshops in the medina are as active today as 100 years ago and strongly contribute to the city’s industrial economy. Trades such as metal and leather working, ceramics, silk, tapestries, and sculpting are still practiced in these workshops. Original ramparts still protect the ancient city and its 9000 passageways and narrow streets.

Day 4 Fes > RabatDepart Fes this morning and head for Rabat where you will overnight. This afternoon visit the Mohamed V Mausoleum before an

evening spent at leisure.

Day 5 Rabat > MarrakechDepart Rabat and transfer to Marrakech. On arrival check into your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Visit the temple with its fascinating medicine wall, Nileometre and mummified crocodiles. Continue sailing for Edfu and visit the wonderful temple dedicated to Horus. Overnight near Esna where the ship will pass through a lock.

Day 4 Amman > PetraDrive to Petra today travelling through Madaba with its extraordinary mosaic map of the Holy Land, Mt Nebo to look out over the Dead Sea and the Promised Land as well as the Crusader Castle of Kerak.

Day 5 PetraTravel on foot or on horseback through the ‘Siq’ to the Treasury. Then to the Street of Façades, the Theatre, Royal Tombs, Colonnaded Street, Byzantine church, the Temple, Monumental Arch and Qasr el-Bint Faroun.

Day 6 Beida > Wadi Rum Visit Beida or ‘Little Petra’ with its maze of caves before continuing to Wadi Rum. A vast, silent place, timeless and starkly beautiful. Wadi Rum is one of the most stunning desert landscapes in the world approximately 120kms from Petra. Join a 4WD for a drive through the landscape and camp overnight in comfortable tents.

Day 7 Wadi Rum > Dana Nature Reserve Depart early for the Dana Nature Reserve. Enjoy some of the 600 species of plants, 37 species of mammals and 190 species of birds to be found in the park. After a short visit to the ruins of Feinan and Dana Village continue to your simple accommodation for the night.

Day 8 Dana Nature Reserve > AmmanAfter a hike through the reserve, drive to Amman for your final night in Jordan.

Later drive to Wahiba Sands, a vast sea of red and white sand with an ever changing pattern of dunes. Enjoy exciting dune driving to Wadi Bani Khalid, a picturesque oasis. Cool off in the clear, deep water and continue to Sur. This evening visit the turtle sanctuary of Ras al Jinz where green turtles come ashore to lay their eggs.
