Continue to the Jabal Shams range to visit the Grand Canyon of Oman, Wadi Ghul and Wadi Nakhar before arriving in Al Hamra. Dinner at hotel.

Day 3 Al Hamra > Nizwa > Bahla > Jabreen > Al HamraVisit the Al Hamra Fort with its massive Circular Canyon Tower, one of the most impressive forts in Oman and the traditional souq. Proceed to Jabrin Castle, the finest of its kind, before continuing to Bahla, one of the oldest small towns of Oman. Visit the monumental fort, recently restored, and thereafter drive back to Al Hamra for a night spent at leisure. Dinner at hotel.

Day 4 Al Hamra > Birkat Al Mawz > Wahiba > SurDrive to the village of Birkat A Mauz and visit the palm plantations and the Falaj system for which the town is renowned. Later drive to Wahiba Sands, a vast sea of red and white sand with an ever changing pattern of dunes. Enjoy exciting dune driving to Wadi Bani Khalid, a picturesque oasis. Cool off in the clear, deep water and continue to Sur. This evening visit the turtle sanctuary of Ras al Jinz where green turtles come ashore to lay their eggs.

Day 5 Sur > MuscatMorning tour of Sur before starting your coastal trip to Muscat. View scenic countryside, rugged mountains and small fishing towns, stopping at Bibi Miriam Mausoleum. Later visit Wadi Tiwi and Fins Beach. Continue to Muscat, stopping at the limestone sinkhole in Bimas and Wadi Arbaeen en route.
