The Professional Materialographer is a 3-day intensive course in materialography, combining theory, practical work and individual work on own samples.
The third day is dedicated to preparation of participants’ own samples. This is of particular value if you are experiencing issues with your preparation process or if you think the used method could be optimized.
TPM gives you:• Theoretical basics and practical experience in: - Wet abrasive cutting - Hot- and cold mounting - Selection of methods - Mechanical preparation - Electrolytic preparation - Etching and microscopy• Personal network to colleagues in the materialographic field• Practical tips and tricks on how to improve preparation results and workflow in your lab• Update with latest development in materialographic equipment and consumables• Intensive hands on experience with own samples• Ready to use, optimized / new method for own samples.

This special training course takes both new and more experienced users through the theory behind hardness testing. Theory combines with practical exercises to gain maximum insight, confidence, and understanding of all new technical possibilities within hardness testing.
Hardness Testing course gives you:• Hardness testing basics• Specimen preparation for micro and macro hardness testing• The influence of specimen preparation on hardness testing• Application examples• Etching methods• Parameters affecting hardness testing such as influence of the material,

Soft materialsSoft materials, especially very soft metals, are very often not easy to prepare. In some cases we fail with mechanical preparation and have electrolytic preparation in focus.
