Gobble, Gobble, Gobble, Gobble I am not jerky I am turkey Gobble, Gobble, Gobble, Gobble and I’ve come here to squabble because I’m tired of being roasted instead of toasted each Thanksgiving when I’m forced to give up living and to lie on dining room tables suffering all of those labels like what a beautiful bird and others you have probably heard Gobble, Gobble, Gobble, Gobble I want to live and to wobble with the hens through the trees and to do as I damn well please instead of dealing with cranberry sauce as if I were the boss or with the pumpkin pies that I’ve learned to despise and the sweet potatoes with marshmallow on top it all must really come to a sudden hard stop and so Gobble, Gobble, I must suggest that in my place you all learn to digest some lamb, some ham, or even some SPAM to set me free don’t you see Gobble, Gobble, Gobble, Gobble. —C. How to play Sudoku
The goal of Sudoku is to fill in a 9×9 grid with digits so that each column, row, and 3×3 section contain the num-bers between 1 to 9. At the beginning of the game, the 9×9 grid will have some of the squares filled in. Your job is to use logic to fill in the missing digits and complete the grid. Don’t forget, a move is incorrect if: • Any row contains more than one of the same number from 1 to 9
• Any column contains more than one of the same number from 1 to 9 • Any 3×3 grid contains more than one of the same number from 1 to 9

Laura Jensen Lozier was in First Grade in 1953-54. She attended Emerson School her first six grades until the school was closed in 1958-59. This wall mural was cre-ated by the students. Laura takes credit for painting it. It is amazing it was still in perfect condition after many years of the school building being abandoned, used as a camp for Marga-ret Zembo and her family as well as a hunting camp for her son Charlie Gilespie. It remains in the original con-dition and is still a wonder-ful addition to the school room.
Claire Faler has graciously donated magazines and
catalogs from the early 1900’s to Rendezvous
Pointe. If you would like to view these they will be
available in the book nook but cannot be checked
out.

Moon Gazing As I walked along the pathway in the latter evening night I was struck by the enchanted crystal clear moonlight My gaze was then drawn skyward to the wonder of the moon Oh, to put this sight to music, it would make a hallowed tune It will fade away in hours, even sooner should clouds appear But, look again tomorrow as our silver moon draws near — Rich Boettcher
