During the impressive lecture at Texas Southern University on the 25th of April 2015, former president Obasanjo expressed his opinion on the Xenophobia crisis in South Africa. Leaving no stone unturned, OBJ firmly cautioned President Zuma on his current action towards the crisis. He also urged the President to eradicate xenophobia by publicly disciplining those looting cities and killing Africans from other countries. A press meeting commenced immediately after the lecture, Usenika Mason with Afrocentric Television asked the following question: “Nigerians and a lot of South Africans are experiencing xenophobia at this moment. If you were with President Zuma, what would you expect him to say knowing that you played a very important role in South Africa by helping to end apartheid?” –Usenika Mason (correspondent for Afrocentric Television) “Maybe if I were President Zuma and I was in South Africa, maybe the issue would not have arisen. But now that the issue has arisen!…First! SHOCKING! DELTA STATECOMMISSIONER, “RICHARDMOFE DAMIJO” RETURNS TOACTING IN MOVIES?!

Following in the footsteps of Hollywood’s ArnoldSchwarzenegger (former governor of California), andPresident Ronald Wilson Reagan, a well-known Hollywoodactor from 1937 to 1964. The latest trend shows Nollywoodactors using their celebrity influence to move from actingto Politics. Nevertheless, many venture but only very fewsuccessful win a position in government.

Conversely, during an interview early this year, CommissionerRichard Mofe Damijo (RMD) stated he will be hitting theacting scene full time in 2015! He made it clear that heintended to release a few movies before the year comes toan end. On the other hand, PR for the commissioner laterannounced that RMD will not be relinquishing his position ingovernment during his brief Nollywood “come back”. He is tocomplete both tasks simultaneously.

With the originality of past Nollywood movies and the intenseimprovement technology has made to film making, manywonder if Nollywood movies will progress beyond its currentstate. Critics claim with Mofe Damijo’s experience both on andoff screen, his "come back" will bring about the perfect blendof quality movies many long for.

He had already completed the first part of the movie inGhana and to honor he mother (a Ghanian Liberian by birth),he intended to shoot the second part in Liberia. Sources sayafter he heard about the "Ebola outbreak", he abandoned hismovie set and fled back to Ghana.

Majid MichelMajid Michel (nicknamed "Shaker"): A perfect mixtureof Lebanon and Ghana, Michel was born to a Lebanesefather and a Ghanaian mother. He debuted his career in theNollywood film industry on the hit movie "Divine Love". In2012, he won Best Lead Actor for the movie "Somewhere InAfrica" at the "African Movie Academy Award" (AMAA). In2014, he attended over 7 African movie awards promotingAfrican entertainment in the United States of America.

Juicy Gossip!: In 2014, a man by the name of "Kelvin Ogodogu"created a fake "Majid Michel" Facebook account. he usedthe account to extort money from unsuspecting women.Unfortunately for the Facebook thief, one of the women he wastrying Usurp money from, met the "real" Majid Michel at amovie award in the United States. The lady ended up helpingprosecutors capture and arrest impersonator. He was trialedand sentenced to jail in Accra, Ghana.
